Ryo sat in a quiet testing room, waiting for the teacher to pick up the face down paper on his desk. He had finished his exam early, and now had another half hour to himself before he could leave. This left him with far too much time to think. His mind drifted back to his last vision, a shining city made of crystal. Whatever it meant, he had a feeling that it involved Ami, and he smiled at the thought of her. He hadn't seen her in a while after that night at the fair they spent together, though they exchanged emails frequently as his family moved around. 

It was Ami that changed Ryo's outlook on life. Ever since he started seeing the future, he had thought that it was all set in stone. He thought he was destined to become the monster he once was long ago, and that he would be used to kill the girl he had fallen in love with or die himself, but she and the Sailor Senshi proved him wrong. It was that night when he realized that he did not simply see the inevitable, but the possibilities of what may happen. After that, he'd had many premonitions of his future, but he no longer let them haunt him. And maybe if he tried hard enough, one of his futures would have Ami in them.
