just figured i'd put in my two cents on this...^^0



First: this never bothered me. i always thought "aww they look so cute together. angel wings! that suits usagi." and i loved the heart of roses.

Second: again not much of a problem. i fell in love with the pose and dreamy colors. all i could think was how romantic this picture was.<3

Third: the only thing that bugged me about this picture was trying to figure out exactly what Chibiusa is holding! XD i couldn't figure out if it was a skirt or what..and i'm not sure about a skirt,because how would you put it on?? and she already has one on! and i liked the flowy bows.

Fourth: this one startled me a little, but didn't think much of it. i guess i just thought of like...a lingerie advertisement?

Fifth: THIS...is the one that shocked me. i did a few look-backs. my first thought was "woah wait. did naoko do this?...she drew nipples? she drew ACTUAL nudity?!" and i immediately proceeded to call my boyfriend and tell him about it...XD i freaked out about it for like...five minutes, i couldn't believe it.



overall? the only image i'd have trouble with kids seeing is the last one. it's just a lil too sexy...and the nipples....yeah...XD so..that's what i think and feel.

Each manga says "ages 13+" on the back... with that being said, I don't think any of the images are inappropriate except for the last one. But it also depends on when that last picture showed up. If it's at the end of the series, I don't see a problem, because any young girl who has made it to the end of the series is probably a little more mature than those who quit after the first couple of volumes.

That being said, I think nudity is used beautifully by Naoko.

i agree, i think its a hat!

when i saw these as a kid, i never thought it was weird or wrong for some reason. i sort of just accepted it o.O i dont know, i think its growing up in an Asian household. This kind of thing is pretty natural, if i laughed or felt uncomfortable with this sort of thing, Mother would do this: "my child understands nothing"

but then why isn't Usagi wearing one too? their like...matching! XD

and Miki, that's so funny...XD an asain household!?! can i come over for dinner and have weird traditional asian food?!

The nude illustration of Usagi is not in the manga at all, its in the Infinity art book. Which was published by Naoko, not Kodansha.
