After reading through all of the discussions about the flaws in Sailor Moon Crystal, an idea struck me. Many posts were made saying things to the effect of "The manga did this better than that..., the original anime did great with this aspect..., PGSM had amazing character development..., this myu covered the Dark Kingdom story very well..." etc. 

So if all versions of Sailor Moon have aspects that are great and also flaws that hold it back from being even better, why don't we make our own?

In short, this would be a work of collaborative fan fiction synthesizing all versions of Sailor Moon (perhaps just the Dark Kingdom story to start) into an "Ultimate" or "Perfect" version. (i.e. moves the plot at a good pace, evokes all the feels, develops all of the characters + their connections/relationships)


In this thread, I hope to gauge interest for such a project and to discuss how to go about organizing such an undertaking. I have a few ideas in mind, but I'd like to see what the rest of the Guild has to say.

I would love to do this

Some structural ideas for going about this:

- person/people follow a specific character across all incarnations and take extensive notes about plot points and character development
OR
- assigning 1-3 people to a version who will take extensive notes on plot, character development, etc.

- plot outlines for each version with compare/contrast discussions about the best of each
- assigning pieces of the story to various people and editing/workshopping together to make a cohesive story
- making use of Workshops, Character Studies, Accountability challenges, etc. to get pieces written
