Does anyone else play this? I finally got it the other day and I'm in love with it.

It's basically a fantasy RPG sort of game for the Nintendo 3DS, that was developed by Level-5 (who if you don't know, developed some of my fave games like Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, a few Dragon Quest games, Professor Layton). You can basically choose any profession you want and go from there (and you can easily change to other professions without any penalties). You can fight, mine, fish, cook, make clothes, etc. And you can have pets and own and decorate your own house.

The game gives me a Harvest Moon/Rune Factory/Animal Crossing feel.

You can also do multiplayer. So if anyone has this game and wants to play with me, I'd love it! I'm not very far into it myself, I only played a little as a Cook and a Angler, but it would still be fun to goof around.

Also, there's a lot of different ways to customize your character, it's so much fun! I'll probably post a pic of my character when I get the chance to take one.

It sounds super cute, I wish I had a 3DS so I could try it out!

Yes, absolutely! ^^

The main core of the gameplay revolves around the life classes. There are a total of 12 to choose from, which are: Paladin, Mercenary, Hunter, Magician, Miner, Woodcutter, Angler, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Tailor, Alchemist and Cook.

Each class has their own unique set of tasks that you can complete to gain experience in them and be able to reach higher ranks. You are also not limited to the class you initially pick at the start of the game, as you can switch between them all at any time you want. And the best part? When you switch to another class, you keep your experience in all of your other classes!!

There are also tasks you can complete to advance the plot of the main storyline, but there's not really any rush to do so. I haven't even really gotten the main plot rolling, since I've been so busy jumping between classes and trying to rank up. xD

You can also do other things such as buy real estate, decorate your room, ride on animals, own pets (who can also fight monsters with you), customize your character's appearance, probably some other stuff I haven't actually gotten to into the game.

I love, love, LOVE Harvest Moon. Man, I can log SOOOO many hours on games like that. I will definitely look into it, as my husband has been wanting to get a 3DS anyway, so we may end up with both of us getting one.

It looks cute but I'm not 100% sure of the animation. I'm normally not a big fan of these types of animation.

Awwww. I personally enjoy the animation style, since it reminds me of Professor Layton. But everybody has different tastes. ^^

My husband wanted to go to GameStop today to pick up a game, so I couldn't resist. My 3DS is currently charging, but I'll definitely be playing it here shortly.

I love it and I bet you would too, Juliko.  I'm currently playing as a cook. My only issue is how short your name has to be. Only 6 or 7 letters are allowed.

I got the game recently. I just started my file last night. I went with the angler. I couldn't say no to the fish hat. I didn't get very far last night.

I didn't want to pay 44.99 for something I'm not 100% certain I'll like cause the buy back won't be all that great so I've decided to wait a bit until a used copy appears.

I'm sure there are already. The game has been out for awhile.

There didn't seem to be any in my EB Games (Game Stop in the US). I can wait a little longer, no big deal!

My Fantasy Life file got erased, so I had to start over. 

I am loving this game! It's a great time waster. I am currently at level 8 and an apprentice angler. I completed chapter one so far of the main story. I think chapter two will be start soon seeing how I just completed all of the butterfly quests thus far.I'm having too much fun running around and catching fish. 

So what happens when you switch lives? I know it says you keep your skills, but do you keep your masters as well?
