Heck, the edits look better then crystal itself. (That says something, not sure if it's good or bad.)

that are die hard fans. and about everything that changed like venus not stabbing beryl they are like "it's what naoko wanted". esp when they are talking about the mask in the comic "it's wrong it's not canon. naoko don't wanted it anymore". btw naoko is the original autor yes but not the scriptwriter for individual episodes

The comic is looking great. I'm impressed by the artist. Oh the mask! XD Honestly I didn't miss it at all. I kind of found it pointless. It was used liked once and then every time she transform she tossed it into the air.

Yeah, comments like that make me roll my eyes. If everyone conformed to "what the original author wanted" then there would be no point in making fancomic/doujinshi. The idea of fan-works is making something based on existing material, but with the fan's own spin on things. It's one thing to say, "I don't agree with your idea/interpretation because of points A, B, and C," but to claim they know what the original mangaka wanted? Now that's just hubris.

I just like this comic because the artist is adding emotions to the characters's faces. Something Crystal is really lacking. 9/10 times they're standing around with their mouths wide open.

best part was saying she is NOT a sailor moon fan because she don't respect the canon stuff in crystal because of the changes. so yeah because she's not a fan she but all the work into this comic? seems legit

Not that any of you could possibly know this, but the artist is a guy. I stalked his page a bit. Heheheheheh.

And yeah, the whole Naoko Takeuchi argument is as valid as angry ignorant people saying that God wouldn't want something. No one knows what Takeuchi would really want and quite frankly the fan worship I've seen of her is a little disturbing. I love her work, but she's a person just like anyone else. And put simply, Sailor Moon is a one hit wonder. She's an awesome mangaka but she's hardly perfect.

That being said, this comic looks like those TV comics companies used to make in the early 2000's. I remember I had a friend who had an addition of one of those for InuYasha. She said it was better than my manga copy because it was in color. Oh booooy... haha. For what it is though, it's an excellent exercise and really shows that Crystal could have been so much better. I love the googles! If I could have my way, I'd have a series featuring these ugly designs.



But that's because I have terrible, terrible taste, haha.

I like the googles as well. I just didn't get why she had Usagi just throw them away. XD

Is there going to be more than chapter one?  It seems like a neat idea to me and I hope they'll continue with it.

He's doing all the episodes since someone used the excuse 'If you can't do better than the Crystal animators than you have no right to complain." So far I think he's doing an excellent job. He also going to be following the manga more which means all the Generals are going to die.

He's almost done with episode one! Usagi's transformation looks great. He also gave Luna blue eyes. Her eyes were blue in the manga.

now she is complaining that usagi is bleeding

Oh boy, this is my least favorite fallacy I've seen in regards to criticism. The notion that you can't judge a work unless you yourself have created similar works is astounding. Movie critics wouldn't be a thing if this were true. Besides, if it looked worse than Crystal, I'd still give the guy some credit because he's not a whole company that can't get their animation and budget right for something as incredible as Sailor Moon.
