Dragon Quest (or from 1989 to 2004, Dragon Warrior) is another role playing game, which started in 1986 on the Famicom. It was one of the first console RPGs to grow popularity. It has a long history of games that were inspired from it, two of which you may know today.

I honestly think the games really started picking up starting in Dragon Quest III (the GBC remake's my favourite of the classics). It's a darn shame the seventh game won't be exported elsewhere on the 3DS.

Who else besides me has played the Dragon Quest games before?

Oh my god! I am a HUGE dragon quest fan even though I haven't played all of them, I have played IV, V VI, VIII and IX! My favourites have to be VI and VIII! I wasn't too stuck on IX but I still finished it.

Still mad about VII (3DS version) and X not been released out of Japan, A shame because the Wii U could really use a MMO.

I hope I, II, and III are ported to the 3DS virtual console, Lufia GBC was released on VC a couple of days ago so there's still hope!
