Relaxed Character Profile
Character Name: Beryl Schmidt
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Character Image: Beryl has long and curly, beautiful striking red hair. Years ago her hair used to be a dull black, but due to her desire to stand out among the crowd she dyed it. She also makes use to colored contacts, replacing her boring dull dark eyes with vibrant orange-reddish contacts. Beryl tends to dress on the revealing side, as much as she can get away with in the school dress code, and she makes use of a lot of flashy jewelry.
Storyline Specific Information: Love and SpiteA new school year comes with a brand new school. Beryl's old school Rosethorn had to be closed, due to some much needed repairs. Beryl is greatly bitter about this, as she greatly considered Rosethorn to be her pride and legacy. To make matters worse, the new school she will be attending, the Verona Institute, will also be populated by her former school rivals, the students of Silver Academy!
Additional Information:Beryl is filled with complete fire and passion. She can be very assertive and as an old saying goes: "Whatever Beryl wants, Beryl gets." She is seen as an outstanding individual, acing several of her classes, heading the student council as vice president, and she has good looks and is viewed as a girl with a lot of confidence. Although you wouldn't expect this lovely faced young lady to have a hidden dark side, there is a lot of venom in that dazzling smile of hers.
Deep inside, Beryl is very self-conscious and a nervous wreck. She is always striving to be on the top, and if the slightest possibility of her losing her powerful position, good looks, anything that makes her seem a successful individual, will send her into a mental breakdown. Beryl can be extremely toxic towards others, bullying and harassing anyone who stands in her way. And to make matters worse, she can easily make herself look like the victim in the situation.
She is also a webmistress of an online blog, going under the alias of "metalbqueen" This is where she tends to do most of her bullying, spreading rumors about others and posting things that she knows will humiliate her enemies. Very rarely does Beryl actually go after someone in real life, as she'd rather be safely tucked behind the security of internet anonymity, where she is less likely to be exposed.
Beryl excels in several social subjects, like social studies, history, government, sociology/psychology, and is also doing well in theater class. She uses most of her spare time to either work on her blog, or hangs out in the Student Council room to help further approve the student council.
Her mother Melanie (Queen Metalia) is a very strict and demanding woman and a social worker. She wishes for Beryl to find and marry a wealthy man, and much to her delight, her daughter has her eyes set on Endymion Shields, a boy that she has worked and helped in the past who happens to have a lot of money tucked away. Beryl is clueless about Endymion's wealth though, and she genuinely likes him for himself.
Relationships:Endymion: Endy, as she teasingly nicknames him, is the apple of her eye. Ever since the day they were acquainted she has admired him greatly. This was at first an undying adoration, but it quickly blossomed into love. She is often glued to his hip, always urging for more (and later) student council meetings and even helping to tutor him in some classes he has trouble with. But much to Beryl's annoyance and disappointment, it seems like Endymion only considers her a friend/sister figure.
RP Sample:Beryl gazed at herself intensely in the mirror, studying every inch of her face. She was almost done getting ready for the first day back to school. She blinked her dull, blackish colored eyes - oh how she hated those eyes of her! - before she inserted her contacts. Her eyes glowed and dazzled brightly, and she gave herself a cheeky grin. She finished applying the rest of her makeup and then went to work on picking out what accessories she would wear that day. She wanted to be flashy but not too flashy. She didn't want anyone to think she was desperate.
As she finished up and began packing up her things for school, she heard her door swing open. Her mother walked in, silently inspecting her before coming up to pat her on the head. "I hope your first day at school goes well, baby girl."
Beryl tensed her eyebrows, a nervous knot beginning to form in her stomach. Mother was never that nice to her. Her words were pure honey, honey dripping with venom. Beryl looked down and nodded, "Thank you mother."
She felt her mother move away, but her heavy presence still lingered in the room. And then her sharp voice spoke out, "I heard those..... Silver Academy students will be attending school with you. What trash. I hope you won't let them up show you." And before Beryl could reply, her mother had already bolted out of the room.
Beryl swallowed and still nervously called out after her, "Yes ma'am!" And then continued to pack her things, now at a much quicker pace.
