Storyline Name: Birthday Splash on Amatheia

Plot Summary: Princess Thalassa of Amatheia's 485th birthday is fast approaching, and she wants to celebrate with her friends and allies! As such, she's extended an invitation to anyone who would like to attend! It will be a fairly small formal ball, with plenty of Amatheian delicacies and drinks for all, though it might not entirely suit their tastes! And confusion ensues when the guests most personal and sentimental items go missing, along with Thalassa's younger brother and sister. Is it a new enemy?! Instead of a birthday party, the group must go on a scavenger hunt to figure out this mystery!

Details on any necessary information: Anyone who is incapable of surviving underwater and/or extremely cold temperatures will be provided a magical amulet once they arrive at the designated meeting point on Amatheia, a rare island on the planet which is largely composed of oceans. Each character must have something small they can bring that is important to them, but not necessarily valuable and is easily stealable. There is no actual enemy or fighting in this story, as it's a prank being played on the guests by Amatheia's brother and sister.

Restrictions: None, canon and otaku senshi are welcome! As are civilians. Probably no antagonists unless they've been healed and turned good.

Stephanie was at home looking at her invitation and grinning happily at the chance to visit a new area. She got dressed in some jeans and Pinky Pie shirt. "I wonder what it's like in Amatheia? I bet its really pretty. I can't wait to get there." She then grabbed her little MLP:FIM purse and left... 

Stephanie then used Sailor Teleport and arrived in Amatheia near the point were they were supposed to meet. When she landed she felt the chill and held herself but looked around at the surroundings and was amazed. "Wow..so pretty.. I wonder who else is coming?"

The invitation Meda had received was a formal one. She was acquainted with the Crown Princess of Amatheia, but she didn't personally know her. The Princess of Zoolean had come purely as a formality, but she was eager nonetheless. She had heard about the planet Amatheia, but had never had the opportunity of visiting before. Needless to say, the young princess was excited. She hoped, too, that their age difference wouldn't be a hindrance to becoming better acquainted.

“It will be an opportunity for you to build a rapport with the royal family of Amatheia and perhaps obtain some allies for our own kingdom,” her mother had explained. Meda certainly knew this already and didn't need reminding. She knew her duties as an ambassador to Zoolean.

Using her own Sailor Teleport, Meda arrived at the designated meeting spot. She had brought Jurata, one of her guardians, with her. She figured that the large turtle-like creature would enjoy the aquatic setting.

Meda shivered slightly as a chilling breeze blew through. “It's freezing!” she whined pitifully to her guardian before seeing that they weren't alone.

“Hello!” she greeted the other senshi with an embarrassed smile.

Stephanie was looking around when she noticed another possible Senshi and invitee teleport in..with a large turtle??!! Stephanie smiled at them and walked over shivering a bit...."Hi my name is Stephanie Sanders..otherwise known as Sailor Splash..are you also here for the party? This place is so pretty isn't it?"

In the sky far above the two girls, an object was rapidly descending towards the watery surface of Amatheia. It was difficult to distingush from a distance, initially being notable as a small dark 'blot' in the otherwise clear sky.

As the blot drew close, it started to resemble a translucent sphere with a humanoid at its core. It was also clearly dropping towards the same island upon which Stephanie and Meda were sharing their respective introductions! It might have caused more alarm, had it not suddenly slowed its descent to make a soft landing upon the cold sand. The sphere soon disappeared, revealing a tall man in a gray uniform.

He certainly wasn't ugly, or so it had been alleged to him in the recent past. He was also very inquisitive about the island, surveying the island's visual features along with Stephanie and Meda themselves. After a few seconds of this examination, along with a deep breath of the planet's mildly chilling air, the man finally spoke to the pair of senshi.

"Let me guess; you two were invited to Amatheia's party?"

As the small group stood on the frozen beach talking to each other, a loud splash came from a few yards out in the ocean. A flash of silver before a form was seen flying from the water, a shiny silvery-blue tail flicking in the air before it split into two slender legs. A young looking woman landed almost daintily on the frozen sand, her feet clad in transparent scales similar to what had been on her previously donned tail in the shape of shoes.

Her sea-foam green hair trailed behind her on the sand as she approached them, dark blue lips spread in a gentle welcoming smile, reflected in her shiny silver eyes that only had darker silver-grey pupils rather than normal black pupils. And she was dressed in a rather lovely gown of dark teal that was similar to the ocean behind her, along with many ribbons on the dress and in her hair. She was tall as well, taller than anyone there. And her skin was entirely blue.

She gave a gentle bow of the head at the three people before her, and when she spoke, her voice was melodic and graceful, as if she were half singing the words. “I am the Crown Princess and guardian senshi, Thalassa. Welcome to the planet Amatheia! I am so pleased you could come”

As she greeted them, another form leapt from the water, their own pale blue tail transforming to legs before they landed on the sand. It was a male, with skin blue like Amatheia but bright kelp green eyes. He was dressed in a formal uniform, and was holding onto a closed small chest of shiny metal.

Stephanie was going to answer Jasper's question when the birthday girl showed up looking very elegant in Stephanie's eyes. After she introduced herself, Stephanie spoke up after she bowed back, "Thank you for inviting us your highness. Your home is so pretty and beautiful..." Then Stephanie saw another man come up and she smiled at him thinking, 'I wonder if this is her bodyguard? anyhow he's cute'

Meda hadn't the chance to respond to either of the other invitees comments before the princess arrived. Just when she was going to answer the girl, the mysterious man arrived. And shortly after he landed on the island, the princess and her entourage appeared.

The princess was dressed elegantly and, my(!), she was tall. Meda had no idea that Amatheians were such a tall race. Considering Princess Thalassa’s height, Meda thought it would be surprising for any foe to go against her without some hesitancy.

“It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Princess Thalassa,” Meda greeted with a curtsey. “This is my friend and one of my guardians, Jurata.”

The turtle-like creature bobbed its head in greeting.

Thalassa continued to smile, and gave a light wave of her hand, which if one looked closely they would notice it was webbed in between the fingers. “Please, such formality is not required. You are here by my invitation, and are guests. Call me simply my name. But thank you, I quite agree. Amatheia is a place of great beauty.” Even as Stephanie smiled at the man, he didn't seem to react, just standing there calmly and holding onto the chest.

Then Meda introduced her turtle companion, and Thalassa let out a shrill musical thrilling of notes, her eyes and smile widening as she quickly strode over to pair, though it seemed for the moment she only had eyes for Jurata. “Oh what a lovely creature! And it is intelligent? How wonderful! Is it a creature that can speak?” Her voice wasn't half song now, she seemed to be easily singing her words completely now in an exquisitely lovely soprano as she gazed almost rapturously at the turtle.

The man didn't react to her which Stephanie thought was odd but didn't mind it and turned to watch and listen to Thalassa's beautiful voice and song while she was meeting Meda's Turtle friend. Stephanie then looked at Jasper and smiled at him, "This is going to be super fun I just know it...what do you think Jasper?"

Though Jasper was somewhat acquainted with Stephanie, he had yet to exchange introductions with the other young lady that was accompanied by a turtle. And soon afterward, the woman he recognized to be Sailor Amatheia made a veritable splash of an entrance.

She was very quick to welcome her guests, though the retainer in Thalassa's company happened to catch Jasper's attention. The tall, dark visitor could only conclude that the man was either a servant of Amatheia's crown family, or that he was otherwise a reserved, task-oriented individual. That was worthy of respect, since Jasper worked in a similar capacity back on Earth.

Jasper seemed to think over Stephanie's question for a moment, posing his answer between mild involuntary shivers. His breath also clouded briefly in the cold atmosphere of Amatheia, punctuating the discomfort he was attempting to hide from the other pairs of eyes.

"Well.. Leviathan insisted I take a break, and I am curious to see more of Princess Thalassa's homeworld."

The Princess of Zoolean's eyes grew wide with surprise as the other princess began to trill and sing. Meda had thought that it would be a good idea to bring Jurata along, but she didn't expect such a reaction. The other princess seemed utterly fascinated by the magic-summoning creature. Meda wondered how the princess would have responded if she brought Lauma and Perkunas, too.

“Yes, I can speak, Your Highness,” the reptile boasted with a kind smile. “It's a pleasure to meet you. I am looking forward to seeing your kingdom,” Jurata added genuinely.

“We both are!” Meda added excitedly. “I've never been to an underwater kingdom before!” She almost looked starry-eyed.

Thalassa continued to gaze at the turtle created with evident excitement. “Oh I quite love the water dwelling creatures of other worlds! They are all so lovely and fascinating!” she continued to sing, silvery eyes shining. She reached out to the turtle and gave it a very gentle stroke of a finger under his jaw. Though in that briefest touch, her skin was like ice. “Amatheia shall not disappoint, it is quite lovely and we've many wonders to behold. Though we usually don't have visitors...” And now she blinked a little, a flash of realization crossing her face for a brief moment.

She straightened up, and her attention was caught by Jasper's voice and she gave him a smile. “Jasper! How wonderful to see you again. Have you gotten smaller since we last met?” Now her voice had settled back into the half song, half speak cadence it previously did. She strode over to him, and gave him a gentle but brief touch on the shoulder, a friendly gesture even as she motioned to the man who had followed her.

He quickly approached and bowed his head, opening the chest. “Please, all of you, forgive me. It is a warmer day for Amatheia, but I had forgotten those of other worlds are not used to our temperatures. A gift for during your stay on my planet.” and she reached into the chest, drawing out three pendants. All of them were gold, and had a dangling pendant encasing a gem that shined in the light. “Please, put these on. They are imbued with magic, and shall make the temperatures more bearable for you. And they shall allow you to exist with ease in the water.” She held the amulets out to the three guests.

Stephanie watched as Thalassa went over to Jasper and spoke with him. 'Gotten smaller??' She thought...she would have to ask the young man sometime about that. She then turned her attention to the gentleman who opened the chest to reveal 3 beautiful pendants. "Wow those are so pretty Thalassa.." as she kindly grabbed one putting it on. It did as they said and it felt a bit warmer. She then watched Jasper and Meda to see their reactions.

Jasper had suspected that he would meet other friends and guests of Amatheia's crown princess, but a turtle from another planet was mildly surprising. He did not at all seem to mind that Meda's companion was capable of speech, perhaps just another sign that the man was growing a bit too comfortable with extraordinary phenomena.

"It's nice to see you again, Thalassa; I haven't changed since our last meeting." Jasper remained relatively still as the princess greeted him with a brief touch of the shoulder, to which he answered with a smile.

She then signaled her retainer to approach, who brought forth a chest containing a collection of golden amulets. At that point, Jasper stepped forward to accept one of the gifts from Thalassa and promptly placed it around his neck.

Princess Medeina stood quietly as Princess Thalassa began speaking with the knight that had descended in a mass of dark clouds. Meda wondered at their friendship. They seemed genial enough, but Meda wondered if there was something more. A faint, bemused smirk crossed her face. She couldn't help pondering it. After all, she read so many gossip magazines; she lived for gossip magazines. What sort of scandal would arise should the tall protector of Amatheia fall in love with a human rather than one of her own kind? Ooh, it could be so juicy. Meda was almost drooling.

But she was snapped out of her daydreams of scandalous gossip by the approach of Princess Thalassa’s sentinel. As the pendants were presented, Meda lightly plucked one from the other princess's hand as she held them for her guests. Meda carefully slipped the pendant over her head, minding her thick locks. She nodded in agreement with the other sailor soldier. The pendants were indeed quite lovely.

As the others took the amulets, it almosted seemed as if Thalassa took extreme care to avoid their hands touching any part of her skin. One might even think she looked briefly relieved after everyone had taken their amulets. “Thank you, Stephanie. We do pride ourself on our metal shaping. Perhaps our techniques are superior because we do not use heat like other cultures.” A light smile before she returned her attention to Jasper.

Her voice maintained its light almost teasing tone. “You are quite sure? I think I remember you being taller.” She gestured a bit at his head and chuckled softly. “Oh I remember. You seemed taller because your hair was floating. No fears then my friend, you shall regain your lost height once we are under the waves. Now if you all are ready, please follow me. And maintain your normal breathing patterns, it shall be easier for you to adapt.”

She walked to the icy waves lapping at the beach and made an extraordinary leap, a reverse of her entrance as her slenders legs merged into an slender tail with lovely transparent trailing fins. The servant immediately followed, doing the same and making his own tail. They swam a bit under the water, which was actually a bit colder than the surface air, then turned back towards the island, waiting patiently for the guests.

Stephanie smiled and was the first to try. She put her backpack on and dove into the water like she would at her local swimming pool. She was very surprised at how much the amulet she wore worked. It wasn't as cold as she thought and came up looking at Jasper and Meda, "Come on you two...waters fine!"

Meda watched in awe as the two natives dove into the water, their feet converting to fins. Her trance was broken as she saw the other girl move towards the water out of the corner of her eye. Meda followed suit, hesitating at the water’s edge, wondering how cold it would be. But the other girl didn't seem affected by the cold and so Meda followed. She was surprised to feel nothing of the cold as her foot stepped into the water, despite the chilly air rising off the waves.

She heard Jurata shiver aloud as she waddled into the water, but the turtle-like creature soon adjusted to the cool temperatures.

The senshi and the creature swam through the water, joining the two merpeople.

After a moment of hesitation, Jasper followed Stephanie and Meda into the chilling waters. For the moment, he couldn't think of any immediate reply to Thalassa's musing over memories of him being taller in the water. He kept his hair short, so the difference in perception would have amounted to no more than three inches.

Jasper waded into the water, calling ahead to Thalassa with an uncharacteristically curious voice. "How will these talismans function? Will it be anything like the blessing I received on Leviathan?" He paused, then spoke the next words on his mind. "Do I need to worry about skin discoloration?"

Thalassa watched with vague amusement over how the others entered and moved through the water, her tail swaying slowly in the water to keep her steady in one place. Once they had all entered the water, she turned and began leading the way. The careful movements of her tail suggested she was deliberately swimming slowly so the others could keep up. At Jasper's questions, she rolled over and began swimming backwards, looking back at him calmly.

“The amulets are imbued with magic to craft a small layer of comfortable temperature independent of the outside temperatures. Do you remember the amulet I wore on my arm on the other planets?” She gestured to her upper bicep, referring to a gold armband embedded with an aquamarine like gem she had constantly worn during their previous associations. “It works similar to that, but rather than providing cold for me, it is reversed to provide warm for you. And of course additional magic elements to account for your oxygen need under the water. You'll also notice if you try, you will be able to stand up right and walk normally when you wish. It provides a sort of gravity when you require it. It is magic that was crafted by one of our Queens in the long past. I suppose it would be considered similar to Leviathan's blessing, but requires physical form to contain the magic.” She spoke with a sort of pride in her voice as she explained the amulets. Then her lips quirked in a smile as she contemplayed Jasper's last question.

“You have no fear of that from the amulet, though I must warn you caution to avoid certain animals and plants on this planet if you wish to avoid such an occurrence.”

Stephanie felt at home mostly in the water and she waited for her other two friends to come in and watched Jasper come in then meda and her turtle friend.. "This place is so awesome Thalassa..i mean Princess..sorry...so where are we heading..i can't wait.." She tried her best to hide the enormous excitement bubble she had inside her so that she didn't come across as rude.
