Advanced Character Profile
Character Name:Haruka Tenoh
Gender:Female
Age and Date of Birth:January 27 (16 at the start of S)
Used Canons:Anime and Manga
Appearance: Haruka is an older teenage girl with short, pale blond hair and dark blue eyes. She is the second tallest Sailor Senshi, as she stands at about 175 cm or 5 feet 9 inches. She had a lean thin muscular build to her body from years of running tack. Her hair often looks wind swept and her clothes seem to wrap around her as if she always wore whatever she was wearing. While she prefers more masculine clothes Haurka is not above donning a dress for the right occasion.
Usually preferring lose clothes that aren't restricting, Haruka can usually be seen in pale colors, however the young adult can be seen in a casual jeans and tee moon turds if she's off or with her family.
Haruka is shown wearing both feminine and masculine clothing. When she wears masculine clothes, her appearance is rendered sharper to help make the distinction. However, she is often mistaken to be a male.
Personality: Haruka is a stubborn, protective individual, but is also strong-willed, capable, charming, and occasionally even doting.she is also extremely flirtatious and loves to tease pretty girls. Haruka was a fast runner, a talented pianist, and an accomplished race car and motorcycle driver. She was one of the few characters to be seen operating a car, along with Mamoru Chiba. She lived the life of the wealthy Tokyo elite and, in the S season of the anime, attended Mugen Academy, a school for genius students. At the time, however, she attended it to infiltrate its operations. She wore the men's uniform of the academy rather than the women's, and was thus often mistaken for a man.
When she first appears in the Sailor Moon series, Tenoh Haruka is a 16-year-old high school student in the 10th grade. Haruka is the reincarnation of Sailor Uranus , the soldier of the sky. Uranus is one of the four Sailor Senshi of the Outer Solar System ("Outer Senshi"). Her main duty as an Outer Senshi is to protect the galaxy from outside invaders. In this life, her partner is Kaioh Michiru, the reincarnation of Sailor Neptune.
Haruka is a race car driver. she's very talented in both the anime and manga. She like speed and she's always trying to go faster.
In the anime, Haruka is the epitome of "cool." She's masculine and tomboyish, despite being very pretty. She wears male clothing because she wants to; she plays and dominates in sports normally reserved for men; and she speaks and acts like a boy (even using the masculine "boku" for "I"). She is passionate about her hobbies, namely motor sports, though in junior high she played a number of other sports (football, track and field, and hang gliding) to keep herself from being bored. Her dream is to be a professional racer. Sometimes sharp and insensitive, she does not hesitate to say what she thinks. She is also frequently rather arrogant. Nonethless, she comes off as very charming and sophisticated. She generally carries herself as an adult, with adult sensibilities and adult tastes; she tends to view girls just one year younger than her as "cute kids." Haruka also likes to tease and flirt with girls. As Sailor Uranus, she is a powerful fighter. Her duties as a Sailor Senshi are extremely important to her, and she would do anything to ensure the success of her missions, even die. She tries to separate her emotions from her actions. As such, she can come off as ruthless, cold, and unfeeling as Sailor Uranus or as Haruka when it comes to soldier-related matters. Independent, she tends to view problems as needing to be solved by her and Michiru alone, without help or interference from others.
Manga Haruka is a bit different from anime Haruka. Manga Haruka is not as tomboyish as anime Haruka, as she will frequently wear dresses and feminine clothes. Actually, Haruka's gender circumstances in the manga are unclear. She initially disguises herself as a male student to infiltrate Mugen Gakuen, and she looks convincingly like a man. Takeuchi-sensei has said that only females can be Sailor Senshi, but Sailor Neptune says that Sailor Uranus is both a man and a woman, with the strengths of each. What this means is never explained, but I interpret it as being spiritual, rather than physical; either way, Haruka's physical gender is obviously female for most of the manga. Haruka is not as much of a flirt in the manga as she is in the anime. She also tends to be more selfish and arrogant in her attitude; especially in the manga, Haruka will often say exactly what is on her mind, no matter how harsh, without apologies, often to Michiru's chagrin. On the other hand, while Haruka in the anime is quite protective of those whom she cares about, manga Haruka seems to be even more protective.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills:Haruka has a unique connection to the wind. She can sometimes get warning from the winds about things that are about to happen.
History: Manga HistoryTenoh Haruka is first introduced in Act 27, as one of Japan's top race car drivers, "boyfriend" to Kaioh Michiru and a student of Infinity Academy. Haruka's talent at racing cars doesn't stop on the track; she also excels at racing games, as she demonstrates on her first encounter with Tsukino Usagi and friends. Usagi, Minako and Makoto are instantly taken in by Haruka's charmingly good looks and cool attitude, while Haruka's quite taken by Usagi's cute demeanor. In her civilian identity, Haruka is easy-going, playful, and even a little mischievously arrogant (with Michiru having to scold her enough to keep her in line). She's extremely protective of those she considers dear to her, often feeling deep regret when she ends up hurting the ones she cares about. Haruka is also somewhat of a tomboy, to the point where people typically mistake her for a man. Michiru explains in Act 31 that Haruka is both male and female, in that she possesses the strengths of both genders.
Act 27 When Haruka meets up with Michiru on their way to Infinity Academy, people comment that Michiru is Haruka's girlfriend and that they make a perfect couple. Michiru comments to Haruka on her initial meeting with Usagi, Haruka asks if she's jealous. She uses a private helicopter to go to and from her penthouse apartment and the Infinity Academy. It is unknown what happens to it after she abandons her apartments.
Act 28 Haruka asks Michiru what's wrong; she says that she tried to do some fortune telling with her mirror and it went cloudy. Haruka then embraces Michiru from behind and says what they're doing could be for nothing and they could already be too late. Michiru consoles her and says there's nothing they can do; the wheels of fate have already been set in motion. As they pull away from a kiss, Michiru says that soon "she" will awaken and they'll have all three talismans.
Dream arc
Act 44 Haruka shakes the hand of one of Michiru's fans, thanking him for buying all of her albums, then wraps her arm around Michiru as they leave. People comment that Haruka is Michiru's "boyfriend" and they wonder if they live together. Someone notices the rings on their fingers and wonder if they're married. Haruka takes on the father figure role to the reborn Hotaru, when she, Michiru and Setsuna decide to adopt her as and raise her together in a large, three-story victorian empire house. It is here that Michiru gives regular violin lessons to several children, Hotaru included. Michiru embraces Haruka as she plays a simulation game with Hotaru, comforting her as she misses their princess.
The Uranus Crystal is the source of all of Sailor Uranus' powers. The original heart-shaped crystal is given to her by a newly re-awakened Hotaru, so that she may once again transform after her powers disappeared at the end of the Infinity act. Although it was Super Sailor Moon who granted Haruka the ability to turn into Super Sailor Uranus through the power of the Holy Grail, it is the Uranus Crystal that allows her to transform into this form on her own.
Stars arc
Act 50
Haruka is riding a bicycle to school with Michiru sitting behind her. Michiru has her arms wrapped around Haruka and as she talks about how much she enjoys high school life, she hugs Haruka tightly.
Act 60 As Usagi is reunited with everyone, Michiru is seen hugging Haruka's arm.
Anime HistorySailor Moon R
While she does not make a formal appearance in the R season, Haruka appears in a silhouette alongside Sailor Neptune in the final episode, which acted as a "teaser" to Sailor Moon S.
Sailor Moon S
She and Michiru made their physical appearance in Episode 92 where she challenges Minako after she defeats Usagi in a car racing game. Both girls were infatuated by her due to her masculine looks and she manages to defeat Minako. Michiru arrives to see Haruka and the girls were shocked to see Michiru; both leave the arcade center. Both are seen talking about what is happening to their world while Michiru senses that the sea is acting up. They were unaware that both, Minako and Usagi, are spying on them. Later, her best mechanic was the target of the Daimon that Kaolinite had summoned. She wanted to help him, but Michiru tells her not to and both begin chase the daimon with Haruka's motor bike after the daimon gets the Heart Crystal. As they are in mid-air, they transformed to their Senshi forms, in off screen. They are seen in their Outer Senshi forms, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, and both, Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus, saw their appearance and both attacked the Daimon with World Shaking and Deep Submerge as Sailor Venus tells Sailor Moon to finish the job and defeats the daimon with Moon Spiral Heart Attack. After that, Michiru and Haruka arrived in the arcade center as she is seen handling her jacket. Minako was shocked to Haruka's female appearance while in her male uniform and she was slammed comically by Rei and Makoto knowing that they are searching for the handsome guy they were talking about and tells them that they give up. Michiru then shows her true gender to them, that in fact she is a girl, much to the girls' shock and Haruka happily apologizes to them. "Sorry, that I burst your bubble that I'm a girl." making Minako sadly disappointed and Usagi easily knows this when she tells Minako about Haruka, but she never listens to her.
Sailor Moon SuperS
In Sailor Moon SuperS, Haruka only appeared in the second SuperS special alongside Michiru, as well as the SuperS movie, alongside Michiru and Setsuna.
Sailor Moon Sailor Stars
By the fifth season, Haruka and Michiru have returned to Azabu-Juuban. They are seen in an aquarium together, discussing when they feel most calm. When they walk outside to see the "shooting stars", Haruka is nicked by a shard of glass. From the pieces of glass, the Mirror Paedri appear, and the two transform. They are soon shocked to see that Sailor Pluto is alive and has taken custody of baby Hotaru from Professor Tomoe. When the three soldiers are cornered, Hotaru unleashes power and Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna are upgraded into their Super Senshi forms.
In the next episode, Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna are living together, raising Hotaru after her rapid growth from the previous. When they walk into her room, the three are surprised to see Hotaru's powers and the calamity that will soon affect the moon and Earth.
Through out the second arc of the fifth season, Haruka is constantly suspicious of the Three Lights and their origins, and becomes extremely protective when Seiya is around Usagi.
Forms of Haruka:Sailor UranusHaruka's Soldier identity. She wears uniform colored in dark blue and gold, and unlike most of the other Soldiers, her gloves extend only to mid-forearm. She is given specific titles throughout the various series, including Soldier of Sky(or "the Skies" in the English manga) and Soldier of Flight. Perhaps her titles regarding the sky is in reference to the Greco-RomanUranus, who was the embodiment of the sky. Sailor Uranus is one of the more aggressive Sailor Soldiers, and carries the Space Sword, which is one of three Talisman carried by herself, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto. Her personality is no different from when she is a civilian, although certain powers are unavailable to her in that form. Sailor Neptune is her constant companion, and they are rarely separated.
As she grows stronger, Sailor Uranus gains additional powers, and at key points her uniform changes to reflect this. The first change takes place in Act 39 of the manga, when she obtains the Uranus Crystal and her outfit becomes similar to that of Super Sailor Moon. She is not given a new title. A similar event takes place in Episode 167 of the anime, and she is given the name Super Sailor Uranus. A third, manga-only form appears in Act 42, also unnamed but analogous to Eternal Sailor Moon (sans wings).
Princess UranusOn Silver Millennium, Sailor Uranus was also the princess of her home planet. She was among those given the duty of protecting the Solar System from outside invasion. As Princess Uranus, she dwelt in Miranda Castle and wore a deep blue gown—she appears in this form in the original manga Act 41, as well as in supplementary art. It is unknown whether she had a relationship with Princess Neptune at that time.
Evil Sailor UranusAfter being killed by Sailor Galaxia in Act 49 of the Stars manga, Sailor Uranus is revived. Once revived she wears her Super Sailor outfit with bracelets similar to the ones Galaxia wears. The bracelets are gold with a gem on each bracelet, one purple and one green.

Powers:
- World Shaking - Sailor Uranus sent an energy blast at the enemy.
- Space Sword Blaster - Sailor Uranus attacked using her Space Sword.
- Space Turbulence - Sailor Uranus sent an energy blast at the enemy.
Weapons or Magical Items: Space Sword: Sailor Uranus' talisman that was sealed within her pure heart. She could use the sword to perform her attack Space Sword Blaster, which was her most powerful attack in the anime.
In the anime, when the sword was brought together with the other talismans, the Deep Aqua Mirror and the Garnet Orb, it produced the Holy Grail. In the manga, Sailor Uranus already had the weapon when she first appeared, and instead of summoning the Holy Grail, the talismans summoned Sailor Saturn.
In the anime, the sword's blade was red, and was often concealed with a jewel-decorated sheath. The handle of the sword was golden. The Space Sword in the manga was silver, and the blade was much longer than it was in the anime. In the Sailor Moon musicals, the Space Sword had the same appearance as in the anime, but its blade was silver, and did not have a sheath to cover it. When Galaxia tries to take Uranus and Neptune's star seeds, Uranus attempts to hit Galaxia with the sword, only for Galaxia to dodge the attack.
Uranus Crystal was the Sailor Crystal that Haruka Tenou used to transform into Super Sailor Uranus in the manga. It was given to her by Hotaru Tomoe.

RP Sample:
Haruka couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't remember a time when she had been this happy before. She had spent the day with Hotaru, just playing. It was great. At the moment the older woman was chasing the young girl around their backyard laughing at her giggling screams for help. "I'm gonna get you!" Haruka called, her eyes bright and her smile seemingly permeant on her face. She wasn't really trying, she could have easily caught the child but it was a game.
Hotaru giggled and kept running in a circle, "No you won't!" the child called back. It was an ideal day for them, when there was nothing to fight or worry about fighting. A day when they could be a family and just let the hours pass as they would without having to be some where or do something.
Through the air drifted the most wonderful smell, Michiru had been cooking. The aroma brought Hotaru up short, which gave Haruka the change to catch her. "Caught you Firefly." She said bear hugging her daughter. Lifting the child to her hip, she smiled again, it seemed natural on her for once it wasn't something she had to do to save face or cause it was expected, but because she really felt that happy. "Come on." She said to the giggling girl. "Let's go see what Michiru-mama made for dinner." With Hotaru on her hip she stared for the back door, the sun hanging on the horizon casting warm brilliant rays over the earth. This say was perfect.
