I was actually pleased with this episode. I thought it well pace. I just wish the fight scene went on a little bit longer. I nearly screamed with Minako was trying to get Kunzite to remember.I wish they went a little further with this idea, but sadly Sailor Moon had to show up!

I'm going to watch it now!

To protect the other girls from his attack I assume.

This episode was amazing!  It was one of my fav chapters from the manga and it came out perfectly!  I was worried how they would handle the kiss scene between Usagi and Mamoru as that was one of my fav manga moments but they handled it perfectly in Crystal.  The animation was also amazing and Minako is just awesome in this series.  Did anyone else notice they changed the color of Artemis' eyes?

I loved the episode up until Venus shows at Tokyo Tower. There were hints of PGSM Venus (whom I love), and I love how you get the feeling the events of Codename: Sailor V have affected her.

However, for being the most experienced, I thought they would have added a bit more to he fight with Kunzite. That kiss between Moon and Tuxedo Mask? I felt it went on a few seconds too long.

But otherwise, probably my favorite this season.

I cried as hard as when I was a teenager reading the manga :'(

I like it that the portraying of Usagi's new strong & confident character is more obvious, which explains better why she felt the strong sense of duty to protect her "princess" & friends.. it's not as obvious in manga.. though I gotta admit, her overconfidence to jump between Kunz & her friends made me face-palm.. my heart skipped a beat when she did that.. and Tux just had to rush in to shield her in the last instant.. my heart skipped another beat.. and suddenly I was crying~ :'(

@Batgirl, I know right? >_< Just because Usagi could still walk-away after getting hit by Kunz the 1st time, she had to think she could block her "princess" & friends with her own body as though she's wearing Prince-Endymion-Grade-Armour

It's pretty irrational of me, though I know the story have to go through this stage.. I still wish Tux didn't have to suffer the hit & Serenity didn't have to be awaken so painfully.. looking forward to the next few bitter-sweet episodes..

I'm not thrilled with Artemis's voice. I don't think it fits him at all.

I loved the scene where the Inners call her Minako for the first time and they reach out to her and tell her she doesn't have to fight alone.  It's bringing back all the good memories of PGSM.

It wouldn't be a SMC discussion without pessimist CJ!

In all seriousness, this is likely the best episode since the Jupiter one in terms of animation and pacing. I really like the additions of Minako's lonely soldier attitude and the Kunzite dialogue.

Again though, not only did they fail to correct the Sailor V frame from the last episode, it's literally one of the first things we see in this new one! They also colored her bow dark red instead of blue. Don't tell me it's the lighting either because just moments later it changes to blue.

On another positive note, DAYUM. Venus's transformation is fantastic. It completely lacks the awkwardness and slowness of the others. The CGI looks so good too. It's clear that they really did do this one last. It's a shame. IMO, they should have taken the time to perfect all of these transformation sequences before the series began, with Sailor Moon's last so it could be the best. I love Venus the best, but it's sad to see that her's got the best attention.

Artemis also got some great attention. He honestly looks better than he does in the comic. He's the only character who got lucky in this new adaptation... though I shiver to think that if they're sticking this close to the manga... he'll also get his hideous human form. Ew.

The art's iffy again. In the manga, when Sailor Moon instantly grabs onto Tuxedo Mask before the kiss, you can really see the terror and distress she was feeling. It makes the scene so much more relatable. I'm really nitpicking if I'm being honest though.

Overall, this episode was OK. Great in comparison to other episodes in Crystal, but objectively it was OK.

The episode was good,mostly because of Sailor Venus/Minako.Her transformation was beautiful and i loved how she pleaded Kunzite to remember who he really is

Your blog entry for episode 7 immediately came to mind when I started watching Ep8. How did they miss that? Why did they let it ride? I don't have the words to express my disappointment over that fact.

I generally loved the episodes but just a few things: Where did Tuxedo Kamen come from when he jumped in to save Usagi?  They're way high up there at the top of Tokyo Tower, any of the buildings he could have jumped from in the direction that he came from are way too low and too far away, so where did he come from and what if he missed?  And when did Artemis get green eyes?

He has green eyes in the manga. I like him with green eyes. They're so pretty in SMC.

Some people are wondering why they stuck with having the battle at Tokyo Tower rather than the Tokyo Skytree, which is taller and newer. Personally I like it that the animators stuck with Tokyo Tower; it's so iconic, with its orange and white painted steel, and it has been an often-used location for big show downs in a number of anime and manga. The Skytree, while it also looks nice, is too new and it lacks some of the character that Tokyo Tower has.

I know it would probably be animated the same way, but after all the Sailor V flashbacks, I want to see that animated into a short series or OVA.

re-remake by a not cancer studio when? even F/SN managed to get away from Studio DEEN and is now saved by some god called Ufotable....

I'm still finding the episodes rather boring. By now i'm really not liking the music, too generic sounding. However, gotta say, V does have the best transformation, I like it more than her original anime one, though i don't think anything beats her PGSM transformation. I also liked Venus trying to get Kunzite to remember, I wish that had been elaborated on more. Maybe they will after next episode? cause honestly the story change to the shintennou is the only thing SMC's got going for it at this point.

Don't understand how anybody can say these are boring.  I'm loving this series so far, even if I'm still not a fan of the anorexic looking art style.  I had chills for most of this episode, and for the preview for the next.  I hate that we have to wait two weeks between episodes!  Wish they had started actually making these a lot sooner, but I guess doing it this way is a pretty common thing for anime these days?  Was so glad to see Usagi's kiss to Mamoru being done just like in the manga.

I'm really, really, REALLY hoping for a redemption of the generals, where they will all be healed of their evil energy and turned into good guys.  They aren't really bad, they're just brainwashed.  Would be great to see them healed this time around, instead of being punished for someone else's sins.

It's time for a big rant. Sorry guys, but after a few days my opinion changed. I need to vent.

Crystal was about to actually do something. It was about to flesh out the story and the characters. But nope! We don't get it!! We get the MamoxUsa show instead! No disrespect for that pairing. 

Why keep the generals alive IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WITH THEM!!! Like seriously! After talking to a friend the other night I realize that they have like zero personality expect for wanting to please Beryl. Yes they're brainwash, but in PGSM they had personality! It's not like they're zombies. They can still think! They're just brainwash into thinking that Beryl is their queen. 

I want them to be healed, but I want their healing to be meaningful. Right now I don't care about it! Crystal has done nothing with them so why should a viewer care about them? 

I get that the show is about Sailor Moon and her team. It's a girl show so yes the focus will be on the female characters. But that doesn't mean that male characters should suffer!! You can have a story target a certain gender, but flesh out female and male characters. heck I think the other female characters are suffering in Crystal!! Poor Rei she has like no personality at all....

JUST UGH!!!!!!!!
