Mamoru woke up the next morning feeling a bit empty. Things would go back to normal, the same boring strict routine, but Mamoru wanted to become King, if for nothing else than to change the way things were run. He would never argue with his father especially now.

He made his way to his shower, then dressed in his royal regalia, he walked out of his room down to the dining hall to get his breakfast. He was hoping for a glimpse at Usagi and was disappointed when he didn't see her, of course he wouldn't, the workers had their own dining area. 

Mamoru quickly reported to his fathers quarters to be given his tasks for the day.

OOC- Mamoru's Attire:

Usagi eventually awoke when one of the higher ups in the castle staffing ranks banged on her door screaming at her to get up and tend to her duties. Usagi never saw her face, but replied and was showered and dressed within the half hour. She let her hair hang around her shoulders as she looked herself once over in the mirror. She wasn't at her best, nor did she currently have any interest in making herself look favorable. 

Down the hallway she went, and went to the dining area to get whatever was left from breakfast. This time, however, she went to the dining area that was in her wing, the one meant for the castle staff. She only went to the one meant for high counsel and family prior because Mamoru had invited her on her first days. When she entered the dining area, a few girls stopped talking and glared at her and giggled. 

"Who do you think you are coming in here and cozying up to The Prince like that? Know you're place here in this castle as one of the staff. How dare you make the rest of us look like slaves." The two women left. Usagi dropped the stale bagel she had in her hand, and tried hard not to cry, but she couldn't help it. She skipped eating and went to the spare room with a few staff she was in charge of to begin redecorating for the new counsel room. The day went by slow, and the staff was stubborn when it came to listening. They all felt she thought she was entitled to more than anyone else, which wasn't true. Usagi was breaking. 

Usagi's Outfit:

Mamoru sat down across from his father, he could tell the King wasn't happy by the way he sat. Mamoru braced himself as he sat down.

"Mamoru, I don't know what power you think you have when I am gone, but its no where near what you think you have. This thing with this girl, she should not have been hired, not until I gave my approval, now I am going to let her stay, but she has to deal with the staff, thanks to you she will be ridiculed and tormented. And your little stunt with my governing room, did you really think I wouldn't find out, I gave specific orders for Camilla's things to be removed, destroyed and you ignored me." The king said as he furrowed his brows and took a moment to compose himself, all his shouting was bound to get attention. The king continued, "I get you miss your mother, I miss her too, but I can't have constant reminders of her. Now you are going to go and tell that girl, she is to remove everything from that room, and it is to be turned into a record keeping library, I will allow my governing quarters to remain where they are, but I need a library to keep track of all the records, as well as my literature collection, now get out of my site, and you had better listen to me, if you want to continue to live in luxury."


Mamoru turned, holding onto his anger as he walked out of his father's quarters. He stormed out, smacking the wall as he walked, he hated that Usagi was going to suffer, all because he had gone out of his way to be nice, to try to be a better person and it was all for nothing. He brushed himself off as he walked into the room Usagi was working in. 

His composure was completely different now, he had a coldness to him as he stood and summoned Usagi. When she arrived, he spoke in a cool and stern voice, no sincerity in his voice or in his eyes, "you are to continue working on this project, but the king has another project he would like you to work on." He said through clenched teeth, oh if he could go against his fathers orders he would, but he valued the life of luxury too much to give it up. "You are to go to the late queen's quarters, remove everything and it is to be turned into a library for record keeping and the King's personal use. I will send you some helpers later today." Mamoru said thinking of a way to let her know items he wanted that were his mother's. He may regret this later, but he wasn't just going to stand by and watch his mother be erased from his life.

Usagi stopped, frozen, looking at Mamoru in the eyes. Her eyes were finally clear from any stray tears, but she was still struggling. 

"Why?" She asked, not out of defiance, but out of curiosity. "That room means so much to you. Why...why..." her voice trailed off. She was holding some cloth in her hands, and she prayed it covered her shaking hands. She was nervous and anxious. Why would Mamoru so willingly be alright with what his father was asking?

Mamoru felt his heart sink, he hated being the bad guy, especially with Usagi, she had come in and was willing to work according to what he had asked and now he was asking her to go against he wanted so the king could get what he wanted. He clenched his fists and looked at her with cold eyes, trying to hide what he truly felt. “Just do it, the Kings word is final and he wants her room to be renovated so make it happen.” He said as he stormed off to the outer parts of the castle.


His mind was filled with rage as he paced the gardens, he kicked a small statue causing it to fall. He was madder about how he had treated Usagi than how he felt towards his father.



Mamoru had never seen eye to eye with his dad, he couldn’t really remember a time where he was happy with his dad, not in his adult life anyway. He needed to clear his mind, so he went and saddled up his horse and rode to another one of his secret locations to clear his head.

By the time Mamoru had visted Usagi, it was late, and helpers would be arriving shortly to help her remove everything from the late Queens Quarters. Usagi left the soon to be Counsel Room and walked down the hallway to the late Queens bedroom. She lifted a small chair pillow and ran her fingers over the satin designs. Usagi couldn't bring herself to strip such a memory filled room, and she knew Mamoru didn't want this, but was confused as to why he was ordering this. She knew it was the King's wishes, but she didn't care, Mamoru was going along with it as well. 

Usagi placed the pillow back down on the chair and left the room. She retreated to her room, packed the small bag she had arrived with, and unknowingly left the castle after writing a note that she left on her night stand. Night would soon arrive, and if she hurried, she could make it back to her home before then.

Prince Mamoru:

Mamoru rode back to the palace after clearing his head. He had put his horse away for the night and walked up to his room for a long hot shower. When he was done he went to find his right hand man, while the man, whose name was Motoki was still a servant, he was like a best friend and a brother to Mamoru. He requested his friends presence, he wanted to send Usagi some helping hands, as much as it pained him to do what the king asked, he didn't have the energy to fight with his father....that is until Motoki returned with her note, informing Mamoru that Usagi was gone.

Mamoru thanked Motoki for the information he received, but he was quite angry, that his father's and his own words and actions had driven her off. He hated that the workers were spreading rumors about her. Usagi didn't deserve that, she was too sweet, too innocent. Mamoru stormed through the palace halls until he reached his fathers bedroom and burst in and didn't even bother to knock.

He walked over to his father who was sitting at his desk and grabbed him and pushed him against the wall, as he shouted, his voice and his eyes full of rage. "I hope you are happy, because of you she is gone, you drove her away because of tour stubbornness."


The king almost didn't seem phased at this and met his sons rage, with his own level of snarkiness, "Oh really, its my fault, maybe it's your fault for being so close to her, you know people like to talk and yet you put her in this position because you think you are on such a high horse when I am away, but let me tell you, your foolishness and arrogance to be so caught up in a woman is unfit for a prince, you should be focused on training to be the next King and courting ladies in your class, not lowly peasants who are the scum of the earth like that girl." He said as he shoved his son back with all his force.

Mamoru was raging now, he could take the comments his father directed at him, but he would not allow his father to speak so lowly of Usagi, he didn't know her, well Mamoru didn't know her either,but he knew she was more genuine and more unique than any princess he had been forced to court, he had a real interest in getting to know her, maybe even court her, the fact that she was so willing to preserve the memory of his mother spoke largely to him and for that he would not allow his father to say such crude things about Usagi.

The arguing and fighting continued for some time until Mamoru was gripping his fathers arms and arguing with him when his father suddenly clutched his chest and wheezed for a few moments before collapsing, when he hit the ground he was dead. Mamoru looked in shock at his father, and could think of nothing else to do but run, for his father was dead.

Mamoru fled the palace, no doubt people would assume he had killed his father, as their arguments and bickering could be heard clear from the palace halls. He packed a small bag and left a note for Motoki before he fled the palace, making sure to disguise himself, he went back to his horse and fled, searching for a place to stay, and hopefully one day he would find Usagi and apologize to her for his stubbornness in following his father so willingly.
