Emiko smiled quietly to herself as she walked, maybe even glided a little, down the crystalline halls of the Palace. Her wings glimmered gently in the filtered light through the thick crystal walls, and her dress trailed behind her much like her mother and grandmother's had. Thank goodness the staff were so adament about keeping every bit of floor spotless. She didn't really want to think about how dusty all of her sister's dresses, and some of their hair, would get trailing on a dusty ground. She gave her head a brief shake to be rid of the thoughts and sighed, then smiled again. Where were her sisters...? With fifty of them, it should be difficult to not see at least one once in a while.

Kamiko sat in her room, very accurately decorated and modelled after the insides of a shinto temple. She was sitting on a thin but comfortable cushion in her miko robes, hands gently clasped together and her eyes closed as she meditated. She could smell the incense she was burning somewhere on the other side of the room, lit from the sacred fire she kept burning at all times in a room adjacent to her own. In the winter, she would leave the doors open so the fire could warm her own room, and so she could keep an eye on it in the cold. But now with it being spring, it was far too warm to leave her fire room door open. She breathed in and out slowly, at peace and calm.

Selene sat quietly on her balcony just outside her room. She was curled up on a a chair staring into a giant telescope. She loved to sit on her balcony and stare at the stars and study the phases of the moon. This was her favorite thing to do, even when it was cold outside she'd curl up on this same chair with a blanket wrapped around her. But the weather today was nice, it was warm and refreshing.

Hyperia was really happy. It was her favorite time of year, spring, a time of new beginnings. All of the animals were out and the flowers were blooming. Of course today she had been asked to help one of the gardeners plant some flowers, so she had been helping most of the day. By the time they were done, the garden looked beautiful and she smiled at the way the flowers added beauty to everything. Then her stomach growled and she realized she was hungry. She hadn't eaten most of the day, so she ran to the kitchen to grab food on her way back into the palace.

Queen Serenity stepped out of a conference room, sighing heavily as she adjusted her tiara.  It had been a long day, and she needed some well-deserved rest.  The month of May was always a busy one, what with the oncoming of summer and the preparations that needed to be made, both around the palace and outside of it.  She hadn't seen Endymion all morning, nor her fifty daughters.  Serenity began walking down the corridor towards her bedroom when she paused.

Where...were her daughters?

Hikari had just gotten through her morning shower. She slipped on her robe and went to go begin the process of styling her hair. She blew her hair dry, and today, because it was a beautiful Spring morning, Hikari was inspired to try something new. She played with some  new styles and decided on a down do with curls and  a braid. She had grown so used to seeing her updo lately, she just wanted to try something new. 


As she began applying her make-up she wondered where her sisters were, how was it that she had the bathroom to herself this morning. She looked at herself in the mirror and decided she was looking her best.  She made her way back to her room, and slipped into one of her more casual gowns. After she was dressed, she left her room and walked down the palace halls, hoping to come across one of her sisters.

Emiko was admiring some swirling statue of crystal, on the verge of inspiration for a new necklace she had been trying to craft for a few weeks, when her attention was caught by one of her sisters. She turned her head and smiled gently, elegantly, as she saw her elder sister. "Hello, Hikari. Finally done with our beauty regime for the morning?" her voice was gentle, as surely Queen Serenity had been, but with Usagi as her mother, her voice held a slight playful and teasing tone.

Approaching the Crystal Palace from the east, out of a forested area dotted with lakes, a daughter of Serenity puffed out a rhythmic breath timed to the pounding of her feet on the soft morning earth. Sora, one of the few daughters that got out of the palace daily and also one of the few that went for a run so early and often, was returning from one such run. The sun was shining behind her and lit up the spires of her home in front of her. The Palace glistened as the early summer sun began its slow warming of the earth. 

The moon had set early this morning, and Sora had gotten the opportunity to watch it set. Just one month now till the celebration. She wondered what her older siblings had in mind, let alone what the 'official' celebrations would be for the royal anniversaries. Chibiusa was so lucky to have hers at the same time, she grimaced.  Sora finished up her run, passing through the gardens noticing all the fresh work that had been done already, probably Hyperia. She headed for her rooms which were thankfully, easily reached as she escaped the palace so often, and debated taking a shower. Her efforts would be wasted though if she went right to the gymnasium to practice the high rope with the Quartet as she planned. She decided just to grab her bag and go straight there. Maybe she would see a sister or two on the way, she had fifty of them.

"Hi Emiko" Hikari said smiling at her sister as she walked toward her. "I can't believe how fast I was able to get ready this morning, I think its because i had the bathroom to myself" She said is a surprised tone. She linked arms with her sister and started walking again.

"Hey are you, hungry, because I am starving, should we go see if there is anything downstairs?" Hikari asked her sister in a bubbly tone.

She chuckled quietly. "It's not surprising, considering Mother and Father decided to give us all our own bathrooms." She smiled as she walked in step with her sister, taking care not to smush her wing against her and possibly hurt it. She laughed lightly at her sister's chatter. How normal for her. "I suppose I could eat something. Perhaps that is where we will find everyone else. I'm quite surprised, usually they are all running around...especially the children. So tell me, what have you been up to lately?"

Hyperia walked into the kitchen to get something to eat. Now the question was, what did she want to eat? There was so much food in the kitchen, there always was. With her, her parents, and her 49 siblings there were a lot of mouths to feed, and so many of them had specific food they liked or didn't like. Hyperia didn't really have anything that she didn't like to eat, well maybe calamari, but that was about it. As she was pondering her many options she heard some of her sisters coming down the stairs.

Selene had been gazing at the stars and then she realized she was getting hungry. She decided that maybe it was time to go downstairs to the kitchen to look for some food. As she was traveling down the stairs she ran into Emiko and Hikari. She smiled sweetly at the two and joined them in walking down the stairs.

The ever-curious Queen hunted for her husband and chilren, wondering how they could all manage to stay out of sight all day.  Remembering the arrangement for Hyperia to work in the gardens, Serenity headed towards the large outdoor area at the back of the castle.  She didn't ser any of her daughters anywhere, and sat on a nearby bench to ponder.  Perhaps Endymion had taken them all out to converse with the civilians?  But he wouldn't do such a thing without telling her, right?

Exhaustion tugged at Serenity eyelids, proving that the previous night had not fulfilled her need of rest.  Leaning back, Serenity turned her face towards the sun and closed her eyes, listening to the sounds of bees, birds, and a nearby fountain as it trickled water into a small pond.  It was soothing, but it didn't calm Serenity's worries about her children.

Hikari was excited to see two more of her sisters join her and Emiko in the kitchen. She looked at her sisters and asked "do you think we should see if there is any food waiting for us, or should we go see if we can find anymore of our sisters, or maybe even mother?"  Hikari loved her family very much and treasured the moments they spent together, although lately it seemed like they rarely saw each other anymore. She suddenly could smell the palace chefs cooking something that smelled absolutely amazing and looked forward to her meal and the family she would share it with, but she hoped more of her sisters would show up.

"I imagine the cooks would be happy to make something for us. "She pipped up, smiling and nodding at the girls. "I haven't seen Mother...though that's not unusual. Mother and Father have their responsibilities, as king and queen." She gently removed her arm from her sister and headed towards the extremely long table the seated her entire family during personal dinners and sat at her usual seat, settling in as a servant approached. "What can I get for you today, your highnesses?" the servant smiled pleasantly at the princesses.

"I would like something simple please...perhaps a small salad. My usual favorite, the one with the walnuts and chopped dates, and raspberry vinegrette." Emiko smiled, laying her hands gently in her lap as the servant nodded and looked towards the other girls.

Hyperia looked up when her sisters walked down the stairs into the kitchen. Emiko had suggested to have the cooks make somethin for them. They made their way into the dinin hall and sat at the table. Emiko had been the first to order and it was not Hyperia's turn. She had to think long and hard about what to eat. She loved food, but she could never make up her mind. "Um... I'll have some chocolate chip pancakes and bacon please. Can you bring out some maple syrup as well?" Those were Hyperia's favorite type of food. Now she couldn't wait to eat!


Selene had been listening quietly to her sisters talk and then realized that she a servant had asked what they wanted to eat. "I would like a chicken Caesar salad please." Selene said after some thought. Then she turned to the rest of her sisters and smiled. "How have your days been so far?" She asked quietly.

Serenity was awakened from her small cat nap by the hand of a gardener on her shoulder.  He asked if she was feeling alright, and she nodded before standing and stretching.  Her stomach rumbled and Serenity shook her head, silently scolding herself for skipping breakfast.  Now that she thought about it, perhaps her daughters were eating as well?  With that new mindset, Serenity walked off towards the dining room.

Hikari walked into the kitchen. Inhaling all the wonderful aromas. She couldnt decide what she wanted to eat.  She wanted something filling, she smiled at the cooks as she asked "could I please get a breakfast sandwich with cheese and sausage, with some hash browns on the side.?" The cooks told her they would get it right up.


Hikari walked over to the table where her other sisters were sitting. As she sat down she heard   (barely, she wished she would speak up more) Selene ask how everyone's day was going.

"My morning has been fairly mellow and quiet, I was surprised to run into so many of you actually." Hikari said with a smile.

Emiko leaned back into her chair comfortably, looking up and down at her sisters as she waited for her food. "Mine has been quiet as well. I was trying to get inspiration for one of my new necklaces. Something inspired by the Palace." She brought up her hand to rest her cheek on the back of it, her elbow supported on the chair. "I do wonder where everyone else is...Ah, here we go." She turned her head as the door opened, seeing Kamiko walking in.

Kamiko held her hands inside her sleeves, a faint smile on her lips as she nodded to her sisters. "Good morning everyone. I thought I had smelled food."  She walked over to her chair and sat down, looking at a servant who approached her. "Oh...a fruit plate please, with a little honey on it. And a few thin slices of angel food cake." The servant nodded and walked away to get her food. "So what is on the agenda for you, sisters?"

Selene smiled at her sisters as each one of them came into the room. Kamiko had asked if there was anything on the agenda for them. Selene had been thinking of something they could do for their mother. It was close to Mother's day and she thought that maybe it would be nice to have a surprise party for her. "I wanted to talk to you guys about throwing a mother's day party for mom." Selene said smiling, "What do you guys think? Any ideas about what we could do?"

Hyperia smiled at Selene, that sounded like an amazin idea. "I like that! I'm not sure what we could do though. Where would we have this party? It would be hard to hide somethin so big from her in the palace." Hyperia said.

Emiko smiled and nodded to a servant as her food was brought out. She delicately picked up a fork and began to eat. She leaned over her plate so none of the vinegrette would drip on her dress. She paused mid bite and looked towards the eldest among them. She swallowed and tilted her head. "A party for mother's day?" she asked, though a smile began to tug at her lips. She used her fork to lightly stir up her salad a bit. "You realize that such a thing will be quite chaotic with the fifty of us?"

Kamiko had had her eyes closed, serenely meditating once again but to her sister's voices now. She would know whenever her food came out from the sound of the plates being set in front of her. But her eyes opened fairly quickly at Selene's suggestion and looked towards her, an eyebrow raised. "I agree with Hyperia. And Emiko has her point. There is so many of us, how will we even plan a party? We all have our own...personalities..." She was putting delicately. There wasn't a day that went by that at least three fights didn't break out among the royal siblings.

Selene smiled at Emiko's comment. It was true that it could get hectic with the fifty of them. She took all of the girls thoughts into consideration before speaking. "I understand it could be hectic, but don't you think mom would be so happy to see all of us working together? As for how we would plan the party, what if we divided parts of the party and a small group could work on each thing? I'm not entirely sure about where we could have it though."

Hikari sat listening to her sisters conversations, waiting for her food to be brought to her. A few minutes later, Hikari had a plate placed in front of her. She took a bite of her breakfast sandwich. She was thinking of an idea for the party. It would be hard to plan with 50 different opinions, but surely some sisters could agree on some things.

Once Hikari was done chewing she chimed in, "I like the small group idea, surely there are some of us who can work together without causing chaos." She said playfully. 

"We will also need to have some sisters to help distract mother so she doesnt catch on to our plan."


Hikari continued to eat her breakfast, letting her question sink in for a moment.

Neo Queen Serenity grinned broadly as she entered the dining room, seeing a few of her daughters eating and conversing with each other. She mentally scolded herself for not thinking they would be in the dining room sooner.

"Hello girls," she said, walking to the table and sitting down. "I'm sorry, did I inter-"

Serenity paused as her eyes cast over the crystal clock mounted on the wall in front of her. She had to be somewhere...but where?

She looked at each of her daughters in turn, examining each of their faces. Her eyes fell over Selene, and it hit her. "Endymion!" she squealed, standing up and pushing her chair back in.

"I'm sorry girls, I had forgotten a meeting with your father in Elysian. We will all talk later!" the queen said, rushing to smooth her dress and leave. As she practically ran to the teleportation room, she couldn't help but feel bad that she hadn't gotten to talk with her children.

Emiko continued eating her salad slowly, listening to Selene and nodding a little. She did have a point that it would thrill their mother. “That's a good idea. At least it'd lower the amount of arguments. Perhaps Chibiusa could be the over all director...you know, the go between of the groups. She is the oldest after all. And you're right Hikari. Someone to distract mother is a very good idea...the question is who” She paused and blinked as a 'speak of the devil' moment occurred. She watched her mother surprised as she settled down at the table, and wondered how much she had heard. Was the party ruined before it even began? Then the queen had that pause, and Emiko knew what was going to come next. She sighed, unsurprised as their mother ran out, late for a meeting. “Well that was close.” she commented, taking another bite of salad. She began wondering though, where could they have the party?

Kamiko listened silently, nodding to the servant who delivered her food. She smiled lightly as she gave her slender arms a light shake to slide her sleeves down, to ensure they would remain clean, before she picked up slices of angel food cake, delicately using a fork to place a piece of honey covered fruit on it before taking a bite of the whole thing. She smiled at the delicious sweetness, then blinked as Serenity walked into the dining room. Was this a design of the gods? She opened her mouth to say something, but she had run out to meet their father before she could get a word out. She blinked slowly and looked at the rest of the girls. “Indeed.” she answered Emiko before she continued to eat her food.

Hikari chimed in at Emiko's question. "I could help distract mother, maybe ask her for some of her beauty secrets and have a mini pampering session, because I will want to look my best." Hikari looked around, so many sisters still missing. Could they pull off this party for their mother? She believed it was possible and wanted to help in any way she could to make the party for their mother successful.

Hikari walked over and sat next to Emiko. "You know we can always have father help distract mother if need be." She remembered the countless times he had walked her and her sisters around the palace or the gardens, talking about anything and everything. She remembered being absorbed in his conversations and when they arrived at their destination, she had always been surprised at the event that awaited her.
