I got a PS3 this past Christmas. I was wondering who else had one. My PlayStation Network ID is ToriJenova.

My PS3 is the slim version and is only backward compatible with PS1 games. I still have my PS2 so that isn't much of a setback. It came with The Last of Us and Batman Arkham Origins, so I say we got a good deal there. I also got Deadpool, Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous 1 & 2 (Collection Edition), Game of Thrones (yes, there's a GoT game) and Doctor Who The Eternity Clock. Yes, Doctor Who.

That is nice! I need to figure out my Network Id.... I obviously don't worry about it lol.

I have Final Fantasy 13,  Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean, AVengers, Lord of the Rings, and Both Harry Potters. Yes I like legos =) A few others that I honestly cannot remember. But between websites, school, work, and my dog I don't have a ton of time. I did spend all of winter break playing FFX... even though I am going to have to play it again come march lol. ALL THAT TIME!

Were PS3s every backwards compatible with PS2 games?

Yes, the launch ones were.

The Last of Us has got some award, but i can see that, being made by Naughty Dog. 

My fiancé is very proud of the fact his PS3 is backwards compatible with PS1 and PS2 games. He'll never get rid of it, I bet. I'd tell you what my collection is, but I'm not currently near it. ):

For a moment I thought my PS3 was compatible with both because it has the option to create a PS2 memory card on the system, but I can't play PS2 games. Sony be trolling.

XD My husband's original PS3 was the original PS3 so it was backwards compatible, but after a time it broke, and he had to send it in to get it fixed; they replaced it with another PS3 but it was a later model and wasn't backward compatible. (( ;_; and all of my saved games were lost. loooooooost!)). When that one gave out ((he may or may not use the PS3 all the time... ^^')) he got a slim. 

I'd list his collection, but he's got over 80 games. ^^'

I've been thinking about getting the PS3 because there are some RPG games I want to play. How much is the slim? I don't own any sony games I dont really care about backwards  compatible. Though I wouldnt mind getting a copy of a PS1 game called Harvest Moon: back to Nature.

Depends where you buy it from. Mine only cost three hundred.

I had one of the first generation backwards compatible ones! But it broke recently =[ So my boyfriend and I bought one of the newer ones, I think the newest model? I'm not sure xD But it's small, thin and silent!

I have: Chrono Trigger and Harvest Moon: Back to Nature that I downloaded when we had the original one. We also have Uncharted 2 and 3, Assassins Creed 1, 2, and Brotherhood, Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2, Kingdom Hearts 1.5  Final Mix, Midway Games Arcade, White Knight Chronicles, Paradise City, Resident Evil 4, Saint's Row 2 and 3 and probably some other ones I can't remember right now xD
