Azorth 


Azorth arrived at the Castle where his soon to be wife lived. He met her a while ago, and the Small Lady had been fascinated with him since. Azorth didn't really care for her, although he agreed to marry her. Now here he was moving into her castle.... the castle where the Kingdom of Moon Royals lived. He grew up hearing stories about this other Kingdom, the more powerful of the two in the land. Growing up in the Northern Lands where the Kingdom of Dark Moon resided was not a happy memory for Azorth. His father always told him how his miserable life was the blame of the Kingdom of Moon.

"Is anyone going to let me in?" Azorth shouted up at the gate guard growing impatient. It was getting late, and all he wanted to do was sleep. He was chilled to the bone from his long journey. After the gates opened he and his personal helper who accompanied him through the journey went inside the castle's main hall. The helper unpacked Azorth's luggage from the cart their horses were pulling then quickly made his leave. Of course the Kingdom of Moon would have allowed the helper to stay for the night, but the helper refused before the offer could even be made. He preferred to stay at a small inn somewhere off the main road and not at the home of who he thought was an enemy.

Azorth waited patiently for someone to show him to his room.

The queen watched from her window as the boy who would marry her daughter stood outside the gate. She had as a child had it drilled into her that the Dark Moon was bad, but no one really knew why any more nor was the reason the kingdoms had split anymore. And the Queen being sensible in some way thought it best to put that all behind them when the the proposal for marriage came to them.

So straight her shoulders and taking a deep breath to regain her regal demeanor she made her way to meet their guest as her daughter was engaged in other actives at the moment.

"Open the gates and let the young man in!" She commanded and her order was carried out. "I am so sorry you were kept waiting." She smiled at the young man before her. He wasn't much to look at but he seemed to carry himself well. His eyes were dark pools in pale skin, he was handsome and her daughter would have no trouble falling for this boy.

"I'm sure you are tired from your trip, please follow me and I will personally show you to your rooms." She smiled and waited for the young dark prince to follow her.

Princess Small Lady Serenity  

Small Lady was supposed to be in bed and asleep, but she had been waiting at the window. In the night sky, the blue ball of the Earth glimmered faintly in the darkness, surrounded by twinkling stars. She knew that her betrothed would be arriving tonight; the thought filled her with excitement. The butterflies in her stomach were whipped into a frenzy, and there was no way she could have slept. When the horse and cart pulled up outside the gates, she felt as if her nervous heart had stopped for a moment. She couldn't see much detail at this distance, but she knew it was the prince.

They did not know each other very well--they had only met briefly before this. Yet now he would be a resident of the castle. It was both everything the princess had secretly hoped for and something so frightening that she dreaded it. She had already begun to like him, just a bit. His dark hair and blue eyes reminded her of her father, who Small Lady had always regarded as extremely handsome, and there was something about his posture and expression that had touched her heart. Despite his tough and sometimes sullen expression, she though that he looked lonely. She sensed that their lives and upbringing had been very different. She hoped desperately that he would like it here and that he would like her.

When he was ushered inside and the horse and cart left, the princess climbed down from the window and wrapped herself in a thick quilted robe, sliding her feet into similarly quilted soft-soled shoes. She opened the door to her chamber just a slight bit, peering into the dark hallway, and tiptoed down the staircase that led from the tower, heading to the hall where visitors would be received. Careful not to make a sound, she peered down from an upper balcony level, seeing her mother greeting the prince. He was just as handsome as she remembered him, although he looked to have had a rough journey to their domain.

She kept silent and still, not betraying her presence in the hall, and watched the exchange.

 Azorth 


Azorth bowed to the Queen as she approached him. He had seen the Royal Lady from afar, but here she was speaking to him up close. What was this women hiding that caused the Kingdom's to split? His father never got into detail about this, but regardless of the reason it wasn't important. All Azorth knew was that he was raised to hate the very lady who stood before him and the rest of the Royals in this castle. He would win their loyalty, marry the Queen's daughter, and bring justice to the Kingdom of Dark Moon.

"Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. I will do everything in my power to be a good husband to your daughter." Azorth said as he followed the Queen to his quarters. 

Some of the servants in the castle followed behind carrying Azorth's items.

"I had hoped that you would have been here sooner." The Queen commented. "Was there trouble on the road?" she was genuinely  concerned. This boy was to become part of her family and soon, she had made a point to try and care for the boy as she would her own child. "I do hope there was little trouble, if any." she had never made the trip herself but her Husband had a few times over the years, it was never common for women to travel great distances for any other than winter and spring court.

She knew that some where her daughter was watching, and really while the Queen wanted to be upset she found herself thinking back to when she had done the same thing when Mamoru had come for their wedding. She just hoped that the union between The Dark Moon Prince and her daughter was as full of love. Sure the Love she felt for Mamoru had to grow over time but now, they were deeply in love and that was something that could never be arraigned. "So Azorth," The queen stopped outside a door, turned and faced the boy,"These will be your rooms till the ceremony." She smiled a real smile at the boy."I hope they are too your liking. " She opened the door and waited for the prince to enter.

 Azorth 

"The travel was fine, minus a few overgrown roads and the rain storm we had. It could have been much worse. Thank the Kingdom's I didn't encounter any thieves during the journey."

The Queen stopped in front of a door and noted that the rooms on the other side would be his home until the wedding. He stepped inside followed by the castle servants who were carrying his things. "I'll unpack myself" Azorth shouted a bit too rudely at the servants before scarring them off. He grumbled and turned back towards the Queen, reminding himself to be nice.

"Thank you..." Azorth mumbled over his words. "what will be a proper name to call you? I mean we are basically family now. Queen just sounds so formal for family, don't ya think?" Azorth asked the Kingdom of Moon's Queen.

After the Queen replied Azorth yawned and took his leave. He was tired, that he would not lie about. Pretty soon, the kingdom would be under his control.


Psychic Rei can see: Azorth's thought: Pretty soon, the Kingdom will be mine.

The Queen followed the boy in and hid her shock at his tone with the servents. That was unusual but the young man had just gotten off the road that was more than likely the cause. "It is our pleasure." she said to his thanks. She thought for a moment, Mother wouldn't do yet as he wasn't married to her daughter and he was right Queen or Majesty was too formal for family to be."Lady Serenity is fine for the time being." She said with a smile. "Have a good night." She smiled again and left the lad to his unpacking.

She made her way back to the royal apartments and sighed as she closed the door behind her. She wanted to speak with Rei first thing in the morning and see what the physic has to say about the dark moon prince. "This is not going to be an easy week." She said kicking of her shoes and taking down her hair. She changed into her nigh gown and slid into bed next to her king. As she slipped off she had a feeling that this was going to be the last easy nights sleep she got in a long time.

Makoto

Makoto was up bright and early as usual to do her morning patrol around the castle gates. Yesterday their princess’ future husband had finally arrived in their kingdom. It had happened late at night and so Makoto hadn’t really gotten a chance to see him properly beyond hearing his shout from outside, ordering someone to open the gates for him. He sounded a little bit irritable, but she figured it might just be from the long journey.

She knew that she wasn’t the princess’ mother, but she had come to think of the girl as her own family and couldn’t help worrying about her. She hoped Azorth was going to be a good husband to her because if not… Well, Mako knew this marriage was also meant as a political thing and all, but it would be really hard not to hurt him if he broke Small Lady’s heart.

After making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and nothing was amiss, Mako made her way into the throne room and stood at the ready. Soon the royal family would wake up and the place would be lively once more. She couldn’t wait to see how their new guest adjusted to life in the Kingdom of Moon.

 Rei

Her dreams were spiraling out of control. The clanking of armor and the smell of black smoke choked her while she fell into a black abyss, all the while hearing one phrase repeated over and over again.

This Kingdom will be mine...

Awaking with a start, Rei looked around in a frenzy while she tried to get her bearings. When she finally remembered that she was in her chambers, she rubbed her hands over her cold, damp face. She didn't know the meaning behind her dream, but she knew exactly what kind of dream it was.

She'd had a premonition.

It wasn't uncommon, her being the Kingdom's Psychic, but one that infiltrated her dreams usually meant that something bad was coming. Something that would affect more than just a handful of people.

She needed to warn the Queen immediately.

Rei jumped out of bed and got ready for the day. She knew that the Queen wouldn't be up just yet, but she figured she could be there and ready to report her vision when she did start the day.

When she arrived at the throne room she took her usual spot just behind the Queen's seat. While she waited she noticed Makoto already standing at her post and ready for anything as she usually was. Giving her a smile and a wave she then turned her attention to the rest of the room and the scattering of people that were preparing for the day.

Sleeping seemed a foreign concept to the hyper active blond the night before. He was finally in the castle and couldn't actually wait to see him. She did however get a decent amount of sleep the night before she was up and getting dressed the second the sun peeked in through her window. She all but jumped out of bed and pulled on the first dress she found. She ran to a mirror tying her hair back in it's signature red bow. She needed to get down to the throne room before very many people got there. She knew Rei and Makoto would likely already be there. Running down the stairs she ran down another hall and skidded to a stop before the door. She walked in though she was sure all anyone was going to see was a whirl wind of blond hair. Not that it bothered Minako everyone here knew what she was like or well most. 

"good Morning everyone." 

the blond said in a sing song voice as she stopped and caught her breath a bright smile on the blonds face.

Rei

As Rei stood at her post and watched the castle workers busy themselves she began to get a strange feeling. Her body perked up the slightest bit and her eyes carefully scanned the room, trying to find the source. When she heard a voice coming from her side, she pushed the strange feeling away and looked toward the man speaking.

His tone sounded pleasant but forced and his bow was just poor enough for Rei to catch his stiff body language during it. She cut her eyes at him slightly and bowed back to him, all the while keeping her eyes up and on him as a way to pay back the same attitude he had given her.

"And a good morning to you Sir. May I inquire as to your name?" Just as she finished her sentence a bouncy, bright-eyed Minako popped up on her other side exclaiming good mornings to the group.

"Good morning Minako. I see you're feeling rather bright on this fine day." Rei's mood and demeanor instantly brightened at the sight of her other friend, and she realized how sharp the contrast in attitudes would be to those that were watching her.

The Queen was enjoying her breakfast. She always seemed to take her time in the mornings. She yawned and stretched, before setting her tray to the side. "Time to get dressed, I suppose." She said to herself and walked to her wardrobe. Pulling open the doors she scanned the dresses inside. She needed to wear the right gown for today. She sighed and flicked the hangers to one side or the other as she looked for her dress.

Once she had found it and it had taken almost an hour, she allowed herself to be dressed and her hair to be tied into buns, as she always wore her hair. She settled the crown on her head and took a moment to double check her appearance. "Perfect." she smiled and opened her chamber door.

She walked with a steady pace towards the throne room. She slowed as she neared the doors that would allow her to enter the room. She smiled as she heard her friends. She was glad that they were already there and she hoped like most mornings she didn't keep them waiting long.

She nodded for the doors to be opened and she walked with her head held high to her throne. Turning around to face those gathered, "Good Morning all." She said taking her seat.

Makoto

As Makoto stood waiting for everyone, she was not kept on her own for long. Soon Rei walked in, and Mako waved back at her, smiling at the psychic. Her expression seemed neutral enough that it seemed everything was alright, but she was also someone who was pretty good at hiding her emotions. Mako was curious whether she had seen any interesting things about their newest guest.

Just as Mako was thinking about him, the boy himself stepped inside the throne room, and again, there was something in his expression that bothered her a little. Some kind of… smugness. “Good morning, Your Highness,” she replied nonetheless, maintaining her polite respect until she had something more to go off of than just a hunch or an instinct. Besides, it wasn’t her place to judge him. She would advise the queen if necessary, but everyone wanted this wedding to go off without a hitch. “Did you manage to sleep well in our quarters?” she added, curious how he would answer.

Minako entered next, bringing the sunshine with her as always, and Mako smiled at her. No doubt she was already planning every detail of the party in her head. Another reason why everything needed to go as planned. Near her, Rei had spoken up again, and Mako was surprised that she hadn’t found out who their guest was yet. Would it offend Azorth to know that someone in the court had no idea who he was?

“That’s our princess’ fiancé, Azorth, from the Kingdom of the Dark,” she half-whispered.

Then finally their queen arrived, and Mako’s face brightened. She was not only her queen, after all, she was also a good friend. “Good morning, Your Majesty.” She was wondering where the princess was. Surely today of all days was not the time to sleep in.

Rei

When Mako explained who the strange man was, Rei only allowed her surprise to be shown by a slight cocking of her eyebrow, but on the inside she was kicking herself for not knowing about Small Lady's beau. She, of course, had heard about the man and had spent countless hours with the Queen trying to get a read on his future or his intentions with her daughter, but Rei had not expected him to look and be like he was. The man was definitely arrogant and that immediately put him on Rei's watch list.

Her inner turmoil was tossed into the wind with the arrival of the Queen and the Princess. Rei bowed deeply before her Queen and her friend. "Good morning, Your Majesty. I trust you had a pleasant night of rest? And good morning to you as well Princess." Rei bowed to her as well. "I see someone is taking to a bad habit of waking up late?" Rei winked at pink haired girl and smiled. She then leaned over to Mako and added, "Much like someone we already know?" in a much quieter tone. Looking at the Queen she smiled again. Rei had always been one to tease the Queen about trivial matters. It was just another sign of their strong friendship.

The Queen smiled at Rei. "I did thank you." She said. The physic was one of her best friends. She knew that through anything she could depend on the raven haired mystic. The queen nodded at her daughter's entrance. "Good Morning Lady." She said. "I trust you are well rested?" She teased, knowing like the queen did when her husband had arrived, stayed up to see the man she would marry. She let slide the jab from Rei as they teased each other often. "I hope she doesn't pick up any of my other bad habits though." The queen smiled. 

The queen let Minako ramble for a moment. "Minako there will be time for planning after proper introductions have been made." She smiled and gestured to her daughter. "Prince Azroth of the Dark Kingdom. This is my daughter and your bride-to-be Princess Small Lady Serenity."

Bump

The Queen smiled and nodded at the young man's response to her morning greeting. However she did not like the way he greeted her daughter. It was far to familiar for her, but they were getting married, she hid her dislike and smiled at her daughter. "I was wondering how long you would keep us, Chibiusa." she said with a hint of teasing in her voice. 

The queen smiled and clapped her hands. "Well how about we get to our daily tasks." She suggested and turn to her advisors to start her day and dealing with matters of the court. She turned to Minako "Let me know if there is anything you might need for me, Minako." she said before turning back to Rei and starting her day at court.

 Rei   

As Azorth took her hand and kissed it Rei had to admit she was a little surprised. It was obvious that this young man did not like mingling within another humans personal space so the fact that he so easily invaded hers and his own to kiss her hand meant something significant. 

And then he turned around and did it again with Small Lady. Narrowing her eyes a bit she tried to get some kind of feeling or reading on this strange and confusing man, and came up empty handed. 

The Queen clapped her hands together after that and Rei snapped out of her analyzing to return to her post beside the Queen. Keeping her face stoic and straight she looked out on the court before her and the line of people waiting to address the Queen. Rei knew she more than likely wouldn't have a chance to address the Queen about her premonition which meant that she would have to wait until the Queen was done with court for the day. Sighing a little in anxiety she prepared herself for a long day of waiting.

The light clinking of silverware against the plates echoed through the room. The Queen sat with her husband and her future son in law on either side of her. She watched the young man beside her from the corner of her eye. She wondered if she should allow her daughter to marry him, even though they were so close to the wedding. Pushing the though aside it was nearly to late and her daughter seemed happy, for the Queen that was what mattered. She glanced down the table to her daughter. 

The Princess didn't know where to begin, they had such little time to talk before and now here they were crammed together at the high table, with nothing to talk about. She wondered for a moment if she should try to start up a conversation. She had heard her parents talking earlier. Just little things about this and that last moment preparations for the wedding. She was feeling more and more nervous as the day came ever closer. Well they would have to start some where in getting to know each other, so might as well start while they were trapped. "So Azorth, "Lady began."What sort of things do you do for fun?" she asked quietly, hoping not to embarrass the young man next to her. 


The Queen heard her daughter try to strike up an conversation with the prince, and listened closely to the conversation. This could provide information on the man that would be joining their family.

Azorth

The question caught the soon to be heir off guard. 

"What sort of things do you do for fun?"


No one had ever cared about his interested before, not even the people from his Kingdom of Dark. Not even his own blood... his parents.

A bit embarrassed, a new side of Azorth, he replied. "I like to paint. I am very good at it actually. Maybe one day I can paint a portrait of you and your parents. Azorth said, quickly gleaming to the Queen next to him. "I am also skilled at the piano, but I do not enjoy it. My parents drilled it into me, so I never learned to love it, like painting. Maybe you can help me enjoy it, one day?" Azorth replied a bit emotionally off balance.
