I am watching the 4 kids version and I am currently on episode 5. I just tried to watch the Nick version on netflix, and OMG I shut it off in a few seconds because of the voices. (My boyfriend is laughing at me for being 22 and suddenly becoming obsessed with Winx... XD )

Now, between the Italian (RAI) and 4kids, which is the better version? Does 4kids cut things out like it did with Sailor Moon? I feel like the 4kids version the girl's voices have personality whereas the other two they sound like girly girls.

i'm gonna watch on netflix cause that's really what i have. I honestly can't say much but did love the show when i got to watch it on tv.

OMG I love this show so so so much. between the two I would say either works. Nick I belive has the Rai and it's got a few changes between it and the 4kids. Sparks (4kids) becomes Damino (Rai) and Layla(4kids) becomes Aisha (Rai) but I think they pretty much stay the same. I've watched the first three seasons in the 4kids version. Season 5'5  and now 6 Rai I like both versions honestly though I think I like the animation in the Rai better than in the 4 kids.

What are some of the animation differences?

I think the animation itself is much much different in the rai version it's got more of a 3d feel to it and I feel it's just better overall not sure how it is in the first three season's and I'll admit it wasn't quit as good in season 4 but yet the colors seem a bit more vibrant and it seems to have the kind of 3D feel to it so I just like it better overall.

I see what you mean by the animation. It is much clearer in the nick version. I watched the same episode last night in both the nick version and 4kids. Honestly, I loved the 4kids version better. I feel like Nick watered the episode down and ugh.. their voices I can not get used to. XD

well, i watch it on netflix with my daughter, i don't know the other versions (only the brazilian dub one), so i can't really say anything.

With Winx i feel that they should have stopped with The Secret of the Lost Kingdom movie. Because every season after 3 was just boring with season 5 being the worst. Season 5 was just super repetitive and Tritanuss wasn't a very threatening villain and i felt they gave Icy a new personality. As for season 6,i haven't seen much of it but the minute i saw Mythix, i thought "Really? That's the best they can do?"
I prefer the 4Kids dub to the Nick dub.The minute i heard the Nick dub,i turned the TV off.

Ok,now that i've said what i dislike about Winx,i will sat what i do like. I find Roxy a really awesome character and was very disappointed that she didn't end up being the 7th member of the Winx (i heard that it was because Roxy wasn't that popular).Seasons 1-3 + the first movie are amazing.

I tried so hard to get into this show, but it's just so cheesy. The thing is I love cheesy shows. I know there's another English dub version I think it aired in Britain? IDK. I chose to watch that because 4kids screws up shows. Even a show that's not from Japan.

I've started to get back into the show. I've almost finished Season 3.
I'm only going to go up to season 4 though because Nickelodeon ruined the show (i only watch the 4kids dub)

Finally, a Winx Club thread. o-o
I've heard of that show since when I was like.. 6 or 7 years old..? o-o It was the 4kids version. I stopped watching it until the Nick Premiere on 2011, when I was 10. That's when I started watching it again. I've watched the Nick version of Winx Club for over 3 years now.
My favorite character is Flora. My two other favorites are Tecna and Stella. ^-^ Fourth favorite is Musa, fifth is Bloom, then Aisha, then Daphne, then Roxy. My favorite seasons are seasons 5 and 6. No judgie. >.< And my favorite transformations are Sirenix and Bloomix. XD

I remember I really enjoyed the 4kids version, though the voices were a bit off. While I was not obsessed with it at the time and would bare to miss a few episodes for Kirby right back at ya! and Mew Mew Power, I kept up with the storyline but then fell out of it in highschool. I was delighted when I heard nick had picked it up in 2011, but I didn't realize it was a cheaply animated, poorly voiceacted reboot. Can't say I've followed Winx after that. (Though if anyone would know where to find the 4kids/italian version please let me know, it would be nice to re-watch the original.)

Theres a channel on Youtube called MrWinxFan05 that has all of the 4kids episodes from seasons 1 and 2. For season 3 your gonna have to watch on WinxClubEnglish

So i went to re-watch the Season 7 trailer again, and it's honestly not as bad i as i remembered it. The villains are birthday party clowns but the animal plot means that Roxy may return and Butterflyrix looks so pretty

Winx Club is what got me into magical girls and I'm so glad that I found it. It's also the only magical girl show I know where the transformation songs have lyrics to them.
