the manga makes it sound like, they were reborn so what were there partners like then?

Well....I also thought that Kunzite would have gone into Law, either as a lawyer or as a cop...so, assuming that he wanted to do that to be more like his father, maybe his parents were cops...or maybe his father was a lawyer and his mother was a stay at home mom, focused on raising her children. I also don't see Kunzite as being an only child...maybe the oldest of all of his siblings, so he's used to taking care of other people.

Nephrite, I think, would have gone on to be a professor of astronomy. And, I think he would have been supported by his father. I think his father would have been a politician of some sort, and he would have loved and supported his son, even though he was disappointed that his son didn't go into politics like he did.

Zoicite...I think Zoicite was the baby of his family. And his mother doted on him, maybe he was a miracle baby, or he was sick as a child, which makes him smaller and "weaker" than his siblings. I think that maybe he was raised in a single mother household (maybe his father was killed, maybe he left), but his mother was the person who raised him. I think he would have been a college student when he was corrupted again.

Jadeite...I think he was a negotiator, and was an only child. I think his father was away a lot, and his mother was sort of vacant, and Jadeite got used to being alone, or with his nanny. I think he got into the habit of trying to convince his nannies into doing something, and he ended up making a career of it.

Well. This turned into a whole thing about the Generals. Sorry.

if zoi was 17 in the manga, I don't know if he would have been in college yet, 

but, yea because someone posted in here

....maybe Zoi was a genius and he went to College early? Or he started school early?

Or, maybe he was homeschooled, and he went through all of the Material so quickly that he was allowed to enter College early?

Here are my versions of modern-day!shitennou families from Cardinal King!

Kunzite: Born and mostly raised in Iraq; father is Iraqi, mother is Japanese; father died when he was between 5 and 8. He was a man of principles and equality, and though he had a cool and honorable outward face, there were bits of rebellion in him that had him reaching out to help the underdog. He was strong and a man of his word, and Kunzite (Khalid! ) idolized him. His mother was strong, too, but was very much his father's supporter. When he died, she lost a lot of her spunky spirit and retreated into herself. Kunzite found himself taking care of her, rather than the other way around. Less than two years after his father's death, despite the care his side of the family gave them, Khalid and his mother moved back to Japan to be with her family, and reverted to her family's surname - Kobai - but Khalid kept his father's surname as a middle name.


Zoisite: Zoisite's (Kaito Hanada!)'s parents aren't in the picture much for him. Nouveau Riche, they spend a lot of their time working and continuing to rise in their respective careers; his father is a straight-laced executive in a financial company, his mother a lawyer working for that very company. In his mother you can see his critical eye and quick wit.


Jadeite: In my eyes, Jadeite (Yuu Moegi!)'s parents are average, if a little annoying to him. His mother presses him to do better, to reach farther, and take no prisoners! His father's a guy who likes to laugh, but that usually puts him on Yuu's bad side (as Yuu can take himself a little too seriously XD). Yuu has a sister a year younger than he; they're more competitive than protective of one another.


Nephrite: Oh, Nephrite. XD In my version, Midori Nero is a super-unbelievably-rich-and-just-a-tad-spoiled kid who has money, spends it on stupid small stuff, and doesn't think twice. His mother is a suave business woman, heiress to a diamond mine, and has alllll the money in the woooorld. She's shrewd and knows how to cut a deal. His father is the head of the household; when Nero was younger, he spent a lot more time with his father; they'd play tennis together and go hiking; his father introduced him to video games. His father is laid back, but as Nero got older they've drifted apart.

Oh, I like that! But...how would they have been corrupted, I wonder? Unless the corruption was already there when they were born, like they were hardwired in the new life to betray their prince?

I don't like that theory...hold on....

Maybe...maybe they were killed in the Silver Millennium, and they were sent to the future with everyone else, but the Generals that Queen Beryl was using to destroy everything, were nothing more than clones (made of magic and some DNA) and those clones were easy enough for Beryl to recreate, while the original generals were living their lives.

That's much happier. I like that. 

Although, Mamoru still doesn't have his guardians....

Kunzite: I agree with the lawyer thing. I feel like his parents would hold some kind of high degree profession. He would also be the older sibling. Very mature and always does the right thing.
Zoisite: Because I love him in PGSM. His parents would be musicians and Zoi is brilliant at the piano. 
Nephrite: Because in the first season in the anime I picture Nephrite being a super model. So his parents could be photographs or make up artists in the model business. Heck maybe his mother owns the magazine! 
Jadeite: Average family? Average jobs? Maybe his dad is a dentist? I really got nothing for the youngest general.

for the part of Zoisite's dad not being in the picture. i see it has this, His dad waned a boy, someone who could be a football player, but he ended up with Zoisite.... i see him verbally abusing Zoisite because he was effeminate and gay,  but his mom loved him... so then his dad left the two of them
