I'm not really an artist. That's a phrase I use a lot but I should stop because oh man, so many different ways to be an artist. Instead: I'm not trained, I don't generally even try to draw realistically. I generally go for kind of stark black and white designs. I also take a lot of photos.

Anyway, to start with here's a kind of interpretation of my home town, done as an ink silhouette:



An impression I guess? Rocks and houses and factories.

I will be back with photos! Maybe after I've cooked dinner.

You can still call yourself an artist even if you are untrained. Call yourself an "amateur" if you will, but anyone can be considered an artist no matter what they do. As long as its a form of a expression: visually, through sound, or through writing. There are even other ways too, but thats the basics.

And interesting photos! I really like the one with the hand up at the concert. Really nice.

All your photos are very very well proportioned! I definitely prefer the flower shots though, I feel like the focus and lighting on those shots is more "professional" than the other compositions.

That very first photograph blows my mind, it's so beautiful! I really like the way you compose images, too. They're very different. And I could wallow in all the textures for days... fabulous! I think my favorites are the one of the corner of a window and the last one of the train station.

Wow those pictures are great! I especially like the shadow of the girl, the metro perspective and the hanging bags, but they are all good and interesting to look at! Also, the subjects are cool, even the phone for its contrasting color with the wall behind. Good job!
