Subject: Outer Senshi Violin cover 2nd August 2011, 7:12 pm
Back when I introduced myself, I mentioned I was a musician. I promised Sailors Jupiter, Mercury and Venus that I would post a cover some time or another. I recorded a brief performance of the Outer Senshi theme. Not all of it--just Uranus and Neptune's transform sequence.
It's super short and it probably isn't at the exact timing of the original song, but, whatev. Today was the first time I played violin in a long time and was decently satisfied with how I sounded

Oh and feel free to move this I didn't know if it belonged in General SM or Galaxy Lounge.
Cheers.

Rofl that "slightly personal touch" is "f*** it, I don't want to hold out this rest" ahahahaha. I'm so impatient for a classically-trained musician. But, thank you!
And thank you. I use Garnier Fructis sleek and shine before blow-drying my hair and follow-up with GF smoothing milk after I straighten in.

Makes me wish I continued Violin... i haven't picked one up in, oh.. 6 years. However, it has really helped me with guitar what with awkward finger placements and all So yahh, you're really good!! Love it!!

@LoLo, I play guitar also! I started a year after violin. Thanks to that one year of classical training on a string instrument I literally skipped months of lessons on guitar. Violin also helped because guitar seemed like such an easy instrument compared to the horrific struggle I had at violin (I sounded like a dying cat for months).
String instruments are so easy to pick up because they're so instinctive. One you learn one you can kind of play them all. You should start playing again!
And thanks for the kind words.

Horray for another guitar player!! I started guitar the same time I was doing violin so it was easier.. Back in Oregon I went to a catholic school and in 4th and 5th grade we were required to learn violin.. Needless to say that most of us that weren't in the orchestra and hadn't been playing for years also sounded like dying cats.. At the end of 4th grade my teacher said that I should join the orchestra the next year.. I wanted to, soo badly because that's what all the "cool" kids at school did. However, that summer I moved ALL the way across the country here to Florida.. I really wanna play violin again but I don't have the time or money It makes me sad because the violin is so beautiful and there's this one kid at our school that's just amazing and I'm like "I miss it so much!!!" I'm just rambling now about how much I miss it so I'm gonna stop
You're welcome!!

Good idea! if it hasn't already been implemented, I'll look into it. ^_^ And also, amazing!! The timing seemed pretty close to me, maybe a bit slow, but really not that big of a deal anyway. Lols! You should have smiled at the camera and bowed!

Wow, that's a complete 180 from how orchestra was perceived when I began. It was such a nerdy thing back when I was in school. I didn't let that affect me but its interesting noting the lack of respect string players get.
I hope you are able to continue one day. If you love it, you'll find a way.

I'll say the same thing to you as I did to LoLo: if you love it, you'll find a way. I know with some aspects of art, interest isn't enough--you need to be passionate to get into it. For me it's like a pull: I just tend to gravitate towards my instruments at the strangest of times. These are the best times for me to play though. I always end up surprising myself with my skill. When I finish playing, I always think "I was meant to play at this time, that's what I felt."

Lol it wasn't that good... I'd have felt like a pompous ass if I did that.

Thank you for your kind words!!! I'm definitely going to look into it once I have time

It's very nice and you're very pretty.
I'm glad I clicked on this--for some reason, I imagined someone dressed up like Sailor Uranus dancing or something. XD

Wow... that'd be pretty crazy. I guess if I had a green wig I would wear it. Hmm, that is very interesting. I guess people do cosplay sometimes when performing. I've seen a guy dress up as Mario to play the Super Bros theme. I'm no Michiru though. If I cosplay as anyone, it'd be Mars. But she plays piano and I don't...
Thanks for the compliments.
