We know that in the Silver Millennium the inner and outer planets ally themselves with the Moon Kingdom but what about the other Alliances? How did they begin?

Phobos and Deimos hail from the planet Coronis to be with the princess of Mars. The Sailor Quartet ally themselves with Chibimoon. Luna and Artemis ally themselves with the moon but were originally from the planet Mau.

How did these alliances begin? What are you theories?

I heard a theory once (which I kinda tweaked for myself), which at least explains the cats and maybe Phobos and Deimos.

In the Dream Arc, Nehelenia states that Queen Serenity came from far away. I think that for some reason, she left her solar system and came to the moon. Once there, she almost created a kind of refugee planet for those who has lost their own worlds (kinda like Traverse Town from Kingdom Hearts)

When Mau and Coronis were destroyed, the few inhabitants left came to the moon. From there, they met the Sol Senshi and aligned with whoever they got along with.

But when Luna and Artemis came to serve Queen Serenity that was many, many years before Galaxia took over their planet, same with Phobos and Deimos. I think the light of the White Moon drew individuals from other worlds to the Silver Millennium. Perhaps it's like a case of immigrants coming to America; that at the time of the Silver Millennium the Moon Kingdom was the most advanced, most prosperous place in the galaxy, and so drew people to it, be it because they wanted to gain a better future, or for the desire to serve under a wise ruler.

I agree that it was before Galaxia took away the other worlds because the Crows and Kitties were shocked to find out their planets Senshi were killed and their own kin betrayed them.

The immigrant theory is pretty good but Luna and Artemis and Phobos and Demois have such a huge amount of Loyalty to the Moon Kingdom and to Rei that I feel as if it's more then that.

Luna and Artemis even have crescent moons on their head which I don't think is a trait of Mau and Phobos and Deimos declaired to Rei they would always be with her and they adored her. They don't seem like they were drawn to the Moon Kingdom but to Rei specifically

Queen Serenity wasn't originally from the moon, yet had the symbol, so I feel that it is either "her" symbol that was later adopted by the moon or the high ranking members of the Silver Millennium royal court adopted it and had it like tattooed on

Making stuff up is good though! Why do you think they chose to alliance with her though? I'm bad at making the ideas up from scratch :/ I can only add to the ideas

My first thought was that perhaps Queen Serenity had the same purity and happiness that Usagi had, which drew people in. especially those who are lonely and looking for a new friend.

Maybe when the cats met Serenity, she was so warm and welcoming that they chose to be with her, in the same way Usagi's friends did.

If we go into that Cosmos theory, Queen Serenity would also have that guiding light that everyone naturally wants to be a part of.

Good Theory^^ What about Phobos and Deimos regarding Sailor Mars?

Woo! Finally thought of something for them....ok I thought ofit 2 days ago but I have been busy....watching Avatar...and eating. ANYWAYS!

Phobos and Deimos appear to have similar psychic powers to Mars. They all seem to sense evil spirits pretty well. Perhaps, the ability to sense things this way creates a kind of mark on their own spirit and those who have the mark are drawn to each other.

My thoughts on Serenity's crescent symbol is that when she came to the Moon, she allied herself with it; her sailor crystal and the Moon's joined forces (or whatever; I got pretty in depth with it in my silver millennium creation fanfiction, "Serenity's Story") But one thing to remember about Luna and Artemis (and Diana) is that while they are Mau and have human forms, whenever their crescent symbol is disturbed they cannot communicate ((such as with the bandaid in the very beginning, and the destruction of those symbols by Sailor Mau in Stars)); therefore, I think the symbol was given to them by Serenity to allow verbal communication when the cats are stuck in their cat-form away from Mau. It supplies them with just enough energy to speak -- maybe though waves reflected by the moon? thus the non-covered bit?), while not enough that they can stay in their human forms for too long.

I think with the case of Phobos and Deimos, that Princess Mars actually -went- to Coronis because Sailor Lead Crow did say that the twins were chosen by Sailor Mars and that they were actually senshi-in-training themselves.

This lends the idea that literally anyone could be picked as advisors/guardians as long as they have some kind of power, no matter how small. Same token, Luna and Artemis could've been chosen by Queen Serenity from Mau (or picked up from there?) to be both P. Serenity and Princess Venus's guardians/advisors.

Which means that they travelled outside our Solar System at one point and time- maybe once, maybe several different times.

Coronis and Mars seem like similar planets, and the people themselves seem similar in looks.

The crescent moon symbols being communications devices are absolutely AWESOME!

Everyone's theories have given me an idea.

Perhaps on Mau, the people look like cats unless they are given powers in the way NQS gave the senshi new powers.

When it comes to senshi, they all have a human form and can naturally understand people of different worlds, and when the animates took their senshi's stars, they gained these abilities.

The planet of Coronis, they might be crows or very small fairy people.

I remember Lead Crow saying they were chosen^^ I forgot all about that!

So maybe Luna and Artemis were also chosen by Queen Serenity, and they were gifted with the crescent moons in order to communicate and to have other abilities like human forms^^

Any more theories I would love to hear them, theories are fun to think about, even if we disagree with them^^

Politically, the idea of alliances makes a lot of sense. Considering the expanse of the Silver Millennium, most likely many political/diplomatic alliances existed, which weren't covered in the manga/anime.

Well in the manga the political aspects were mentioned a bit more. Kakyuu said thatwhen Mamoru and Usagi took their hands and created Tokyo the peace would be felt throughout the entire galaxy^^ so it might be safe to say Crystal Tokyo's political influence is farther reaching then her mothers but then again we have a connection from the Silver Millenium reaching out to Mau and Coronis as well
