I've always wondered- and I don't doubt a lot of us have had the same thoughts- but where would the Golden Crystal end up if Chibiusa inherits the Silver(Pink) Moon crystal? Does helios get it? Does it go dormant?

It's one of those things that I thought was a little problematic with the one child rule-

What happens if there's two crystals but one child?

A senshi holds the responsibility for her planet and dies when separated from her starseed. A senshi capable of using two starseeds would not only be responsible for two planets, but would have access to twice the power. In this way, Chibiusa is an anomaly because she can tap into both the power of the Earth and of the Moon.

Females were decided upon as senshi so they can all be one gender so there would be no breeding between them and say a senshi could have the power of five different planets. Females being the choice because senshi were descendants of the royal family of their respective planet. Princes were too busy being future kings, but in another case a starseed would be passed to the wrong person (Endymion).

His starseed manifested in a weaker way so it wouldn't attract any attention and avoid him being prey to a senshi who wanted a daughter twice her strength. This could also be why those from the Moon couldn't marry those from the Earth--the earth was missing their senshi, so until it was reborn as a girl the Earth was quarantined to prevent senshi cross-breeding and other mutations (i.e slow growth).

Im alittle confsue wouldn't she have 3 crystals all together one from Neo Queen Serenity the other from her father and then the pink crystal created by her tear ? and btw sorry to come off topic ktenshi

Thanks for clearing that out for me Sailor Celestial I really appreciated and I also believe what you said can be true that She has both crytsals inside of her or maybe Endymion decides to hand it over to helios after all he will be his son in law haha I think helios would be the choosen one he's the guardian of the crystal

Well... actually I believe a crystal can go dormant and re-materialize once a suitable heir is found. So Chibiusa gets the silver crystal, and someone else gets the golden. As for the tear crystal, it's an anomaly, but in the worst case, the silver crystal can get someone else, as it's only fair.

But, fairness and Sailor Moon are mutually exclusive concepts.

To be honest, I don't think a persons crystal can be passed to another person unless they're directly from their bloodline. For example, if Sailor Jupiter had a daughter, she would inherit Jupiter's sailor crystal--or maybe a duplicate of it.

I'm of two minds on the subjects of Crystals/Star Seeds.

On one hand: everything indicates that every Senshi has a Crystal, and is inseparable from it without killing the individual. The Crystal is an aspect of their soul. In the manga, Sailor Saturn explicitly states something to the effect that Chibi-Usa must keep the Crystal secret because it guards her soul.

So removing the Crystal in this case (/Star Seed) is stealing someone's soul, and their body will falter and die.

In which case, any interpretation where someone 'inherits' a Crystal is wrong - they have their own. They might wield another's Crystal, but they have some form of permission. Chibi-Usa has her own Pink Moon Crystal (which seems to be a second Crystal of the Moon, but we'll come back to that), but can use the Silver Crystal and the Golden Crystal because FAMILY, nyah.

So long as the Crystals are around, there is a chance of rebirth for the individual in question.

(Also in this case: Sailor Moon's Silver Crystal ascended to allow her to become Sailor Cosmos, leaving the domain of the Moon - strictly speaking, it's like Usagi leaving home for college, with the acknowledgement that she's always welcome back due to FAMILY. The Pink Moon Crystal would have evolved from the Moon and gone to Chibi-Usa or some such under this interpretation. Or maybe celestial bodies are capable of holding multiple Crystals.)

(Second note: in this case, Queen Serenity would have had her own Sailor Crystal - Luna and Artemis perhaps believing this to be the Silver Crystal (and being mistaken) OR Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal (as Princess Serenity was FAMILY) for training/supplementary purposes/different and varied reasons.)

The SECOND interpretation: The Crystals/Star Seeds/celestial bodies are always somewhat sentient, and choose their wielder/Senshi based on how well they match that Crystal's 'requirements.' This doesn't mean that they might abandon their original wielder, though - it usually would mean that the original wielder has not been reincarnated, necessitating a changing of the guard.

Having 'chibi-Senshi' in advance could be a way of a planet allowing/accepting that an individual is ready to retire/die/move on to bigger and better things and is allowing them to train their own successor. THAT interpretation is pure fanon and is only somewhat supported by the anime giving Chibi-Usa the Silver Crystal.

(This would be one reason the White Moon family only has one child - because that child is guaranteed to be a successor to the power of the Silver Crystal, and now the mother is obligated to train that child in preparation for their own death/ascendance.)

Another possible interpretation:

A Sailor Crystal / True Star Seed is an incarnation of a planetary body, this separates it from "hostie / seitai" from the Infinity arc which be the physical representation of the power that is within the soul. There can be incarnations of the same thing that exist entirely separately and simultaneously to one another, but this is limited to particularly strong bodies.

Evidence? Look at the Chaos Seed? All those incarnations, Metalia, Death Phantom, Pharaoh 90, Nehelenia, Sailor Chaos, some of them overlap in time periods but they all seem completely unaware of one another. If the Cosmos Seed is taken under the same consideration (in some strands of philosophy, Cosmos and Chaos are opposite terms, Cosmos is the concept of existence and order while Chaos, the concept of the void and disorder --- sound familiar?) then it should also be able to exist in separate forms, so possibly Sailor Cosmos, Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibimoon, Princess Serenity, Queen Serenity, Sailor Chibichibi and Guardian Cosmos could all be incarnations of the Cosmos Seed at the same time.

This also means a Crystal can be "passed down" through a bloodline if it so wishes, but it is not restricted to it.

We've also seen many other occurrences of a "will" that exists separate of a true star seed but still seems to be very much connected. That is the Talismans of the Outer Soldiers, the Harp, Bow-and-Arrow, Leaves of Oak and Love Whip of the Guardian Soldiers, The Sailor Power Guardians, Helios bearing Mamoru's star seed, The Rainbow Crystals being in other individuals, Astarte and possibly the Vulcan Star Seed, Some shows of SeraMyu that imply the Silver Crystal is within the Spiral Heart Moon Rod (Sailor Moon & Super Sailor Moon's most used weapon --- Eternal Moon uses the Eternal Tiare where there are also implications it is connected directly to the crystal) Some musicals even go as far as saying the Silver Crystal has a will of its own.

And this also explains how the "Silver Crystal" and "Silver Moon Crystal" are the same thing but different, the star has evolved into a new incarnation within being reincarnated.

This means that the will of a planetary body is NOT limited to becoming a Sailor Soldier, perhaps when a star seed becomes a Sailor Soldier this is the "purest" or "highest" form of a Star Seed? This is implied through the fear that surrounds Sailor Chaos and the appearance of Sailor Cosmos. But that also does not mean that at any given moment an incarnation of a star seed must exist, they could be waiting for a reincarnation in between times.

To be honest, of these- I like Miki's interpertation the best. The idea that they can exist in all forms but also that the idea that it's not tied to a bloodline really sounds more plausible.

Because then I would have to ask, if it's tied to a bloodline- what if that Bloodline is snuffed out? Someone dies without an heir? What if they're incapable of children of any means? Be it they're too weak to go and create a child or simply can't have it the natural way.

Though I do agreed with Boro in a way, because it does sound like when a person is chosen/born with it that it means whatever they where genetically and maybe even personality wise is altered to suit that planet's needs.

I believe that no one shares a star seed because it is the embodiment of that persons soul and without it you die. Chibiusa has her very won crystal, the Pink Moon Crystal. Endymoin has the Golden Crystal and Usagi has the Silver Crystal.
