Since we're down to four Senshi now, I thought it would be good to have a speculation thread about Minako.  How do you think Crystal is going to portray Minako's personality this time around?  In the manga Minako is a serious minded Senshi who always takes charge in the fights and pretty much seems to take over as the de facto leader for a bit there.  The original anime started off with Minako being so serious and capable of a leader but they later made her more comical and boy crazy.  PGSM went in the opposite direction and made Minako almost too dark and angsty, almost to the level that the Outers were at in the original anime.  Do you think Crystal will try a combination of the two personalities or will they just copy her manga persona?

I think of Manga Minako as a mix between the anime and PGSM versions. She was a solid leader, but she was also capable of acting immature or having a klutzy moment (she drops the moon sword in Ami's apartment and chips her tiled floor). Venus could flip the switch between happy and serious really fast.

Yeah, I prefer Minako that has that duality. Capable of being a leader and yet still extremely carefree at times. Based on the character profiles put up in the official site, it looks like they will go with this, which makes me happy. (They explicitly stated her as the leader, and that she's also a girl who follows current trends/can get obsessed with those silly things!)

I'm glad Minako is finally going to be the leader this time.  The original anime had Usagi be the leader and Rei was the de facto leader for PGSM so I'm glad they're finally getting it right now.

I have a feeling that Minako will pretty much have her manga personality.  I'm not totally sure but I feel like that is the direction that they have been going with all the girls so far.

I am excited to see her take on the leader role.  In the 90's anime, I never got a sense that she was a leader at all.

I want her to take the leadership role seriously but not too much like in PGSM. But when they are not in battle then I want her to be her cheerful and bubbly self. I also would like some "Sailor moon, stay away from Tuxedo Mask!" moments in Crystal like they did in PGSM.



And I loved that scene when Minako drops the sword in Ami's house.
