| Does anyone here read any Western comics/graphic novels? I've always loved Catwoman, and DC released sometime last year "The New 52", which is like a reboot of all their franchises, so I've gotten into that recently. I was just curious if there's anyone else out there who's into these. |

| Unfortunately, I do not necessarily buy recent comics, but I do browse through Half-Price Books specifically for Wonder Woman and the Green Arrow.
Did anyone ever use to read the Archie series? I gave up on that a long time ago, but I must have bought (and kept) several hundreds of those things over the years. My father has them up in the attic somewhere. |

| I only got into the new series because it just came out, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. It always would have been such an ordeal to jump into a series that's been running for a while, especially if you want to know what happened.
I never got into the Archie series, or any other comics as a kid. Honestly, Sailor Moon was my first "graphic novel", the only other thing I owned in my adolescence was the #0 issue of DC's previous generation of Catwoman. |

| I was brought up on a lot of Spider-Man and X-Men comic books when I was a kid (I was particularly fond of the Scarlet Spider when he was around), with Batman and Superman comics on occasion. I'd be interested in checking out some of DC's new 52 if I ever got the chance. Namely the new Supergirl comics. I love her new look. |

| The only graphic novels that I read and keep up with are The Walking Dead comics, they're so much better than the show! Don't get me wrong, I like the show, but it left out a lot of stuff in the comics that I just love. ^_^ |

| I loved the cartoons dearly (From Superfriends to Young Justice) so after my stint of manga, I collected some or had some old ones still around. My mother and her stepfather were big superhero fans (seriously mom said she wanted to marry Thor as a kid and watched the Batman show). Pity she couldn't keep his comics.
Anyway-
I only have Aquaman new 52 (only up to issue 12 I think?. did I mention I'm a huge Aquaman fan?)
Mr. Terrific II from 52
Some Batwoman
Most of Batwing
And probably like one or two of Static.
and some of the new Youn Justice Earth-16 stuff.
from Marvel- I have one X-men current comic dedicated to Storm. , though I want the Runaways and Young Avengers. (I also have an old thor comic, along with Spawn and some x-men.)
Other comics: I have two Midnighter comics before DC absorbed them.
so..yeah. xd;

| I do enjoy western comics as well. I've recently started buying graphic novels. I have about fifteen in my book collection. I'd like more.
I'm a DC girl, born and raised... the only Marvel comics that I really enjoy are Amazing Spiderman and Thor. |

| How did I miss this thread? D: I LOVE comic books <3 Most of what I read it's from Marvel, I've been a fan for several years now; but these are some of my favorites:
- The Amazing Spiderman - The Uncanny X-Men - The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Some limited series:
- The Infinity Gauntlet - House of M - Civil War - Marvel Zombies (And I know, half of these are so badly written but yet so fun xD) - X-Men First Class - World War Hulk
Non-Marvel stuff:
- The Walking Dead - Scott Pilgrim
And finally, a few graphic novels:
- Watchmen - Kick-chibi ( xD you know what it's supposed to say! xD)
The only thing I've read from DC is Young Justice, and I love the cartoon as well. <3 |
