Just as the title says. I've added a few topics to my watch list, just in order to easily keep track if there's any new replies and all that. But it seems that just adding a topic to your watch list automatically makes it so that you get an e-mail sent to you whenever a new post is made, which is... something I don't really wish for. Is there any way to turn this off? I looked through the preferences and settings but couldn't find anything. Do I simply have to stop watching topics?

I think you get the notifications when you watch the topics... If you just want to see if new posts are made when you're on here you don't have to do anything ^^. The brooches/wands change automatically when new posts are made and you haven't read them yet. I hope this is what you meant

Instead of watching the topics, you can add them to your favourites. There is no notification of activity ( i believe ), but the will be collected in one place for you to easily check yourself. The icon does change when there are new replies. On the top right of any topic, click on the 'actions' link and the option should be in that menu.

Oh, alright, I wasn't aware of being able to add topics to favorites instead, I'll try that. And I'll keep a closer eyes on those wands. Thank you for the quick help. <3
