(I searched for a topic like this and came up empty but if there is already one then I'm really sorry!!)

Have you ever said, done, or seen anything that just screams Sailor Moon? How about encountering another Moonie at the bus stop or having someone ask you where you got your new Sailor t-shirt from Hot Topic?

For me these encounters make my day! (Especially before I joined the forum because I felt like yes, I'm not the only Moonie out there!)

One example I can think of is the time I was in the grocery store and looking at something and one of the workers was walking by and all of a sudden she stopped and demanded to know where I got my Sailor Moon t-shirt. (the black one with the Inners and Luna on it).

Actually, that same day, I had to take my dog to the groomer and the two groomers there started talking about how they watched the show when they were little and have seen some of the new merchandise at Hot Topic and are really excited that it is starting to come back.

Of course I've had some negative experiences too. I'm a super shy person and don't like to draw attention to myself so wearing my Sailor Moon t-shirt to school was a big step for me (not exactly sure why). I was afraid someone would say something negative about it (some people were like aw, I loved her show back in the day). But this one guy said to me "Is that a Sailor Moon shirt?" and I said yeah. He then shook his head and said "Sailor Moon..." like it was a bad thing. I just kind of shrugged it off but then I had another class with him and he did it again. So I mustered up all my courage and told him: "Tsuki ni Kawatte Oshiokiyo!! " He looked a little taken back and held up his hands and told me to settle down.

I've had others too but I want to hear about yours! So have you ever encountered any Moonies in your real life?

XD lol I like that you yelled that at him but I have that new sailor Moon sticker from hottopics and I have it on my new computer.
So I'm sitting down and their having a high school touring our campus and I believe one of them asked us something. I can't remember and she pointed at my sticker and said I think your missing people. lol
I'm like only the outters but they never released that sticker yet. lol

Once I went to a theme park and the ticket attendent was wearing her hair in odangos. She looked like an older version of sailor moon

well, my tattoo makes me have lots of conversations about sailor moon. it is really commom for people to ask me if it's a sailor moon tattoo.

and i find lots of people who visit my website as well. it's super cool =)

There was a girl at Sam's Club who had one of hte new Sailor Moon shirt on. And i was like "love your shirt!" Hopefully she appreciated it. :3

I seen a girl at hobby lobby like a year ago and she had a sailor moon shirt on, and I told her I loved her shirt. Also back in the summer I went to see the avengers with my parents, and I was wearing my sailor moon shirt like you had on Luna and a girl around 8 or 9 came up and asked where I got my shirt lol.

I saw a girl at dinner yesterday wearing a hot topic SM shirt. I wanted to say something to her, but she was too far from me.

I went to one of my friend's house for his daughter's first year old birthday and while randomly talking with his girlfriend which I get along with pretty well, I realised for the first time she was a fan of Sailor Moon too. Soon to discover we were maybe 4 girls there who admitted they were or had been ''huge'' fans of Sailor Moon. It was actually pretty funny to see everyone looking at us like we were the kids out there. The night ended as I was drawing tattoos of Sailor Moon on people in the party LOL And that included the guys in the place wanting to have ''sexy'' versions of a Sailor Senshi Ha! Ha! Ha! What a night! Now I know when they will see me again, they will remember about Sailor Moon LOL

uwu Since I have my Luna Tshirt, I attract every SM fan in my school. I didn't expect their would be so much x) They are like ten people or something that went to me all like "Heeeey, I love Sailor Moon too"

Once when I went to buy a volume of the manga at a bookstore, the girl at the register looked at it and started talking about how much she loved Sailor Moon, and how she hadn't watched it in forever. I think she said her favorite character was Minako.

Once, before class, a guy played Moonlight Densetsu on full volume. Told him to turn it down. Didn't feel like listening to it. Complimented him on his bravery at the end of the class.

^__^ My tumblr soul mate, IdesofNovember, sent me a Tuxedo Kamen canvas tote bag that I've been using as a purse for almost a year now; it's a purse, so I take it everywhere with me and often forget that there's a very flowery man in a tuxedo and tophat just chilling on the front of it until someone points it out and gets really really excited xD

o_o I've been using those random encounters to spread the word about the new anime.


XD I get the most reaction when shopping and it's usually girls around my age (early 20's) who call me out on him. Sometimes they immediately know who it is, other times they're bumbling around it like "Oh!! Oh I know that show!! It's --- aaaah what is it?! DUDE I USED TO WATCH IT EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL! THAT'S TUXEDO MASK." and we'll geek out together XD


!! Oh! I also wear my super!old Sailor Moon wrist watch to keep track of time at school and a handful of students have noticed it and three have been like "You like Sailor Moon? I have to tell my friend ___, she's nuts about that show." and I go =3 and wish I could invite them to join the forums without being UBER. CREEPY. lol

I went into Hot Topic to buy a few Sailor Moon items I saw. I asked the woman working there if they had the shirt I wanted in a size small and as she got it she was like "Damn, I use to love Sailor Moon when I was a kid and now I work here and it's everywhere." I started getting giddy and I was like "Oh! That's because they're streaming a reboot of Sailor Moon in the Summer of 2013!"

Also, I was in the lunch line the other day and I a girl walks past me sporting the Sailor Moon shirt I bought at Hot Topic a few months back. I yell at her "I LIKE YOUR SHIRT!" and she didn't hear me. So once I got out of the line with my friend I look around and go "I gotta tell that girl I like her shirt." So ~creepily~ I find her and walk up to her and go "I REALLY LIKE YOUR SHIRT!" and I flash my Sailor Moon wallet and she's like "ermagerd I like ya wallet ~" and I'm like "thx!!!~!~!~!!!" and then yeah well I do my best to make sure everybody knows my obsession with Sailor Moon is a little un healthy and that I possibly need a straight jacket.

Ahahaha these remind me of the encounters I've had. I work next to a Subway, so I was getting lunch one day, and had my SM wallet and the girl was like "omg thats so cool". Then I started geeking out about it with her.

And then there was another time in Barnes & Noble where a girl complimented me on my wallet. Then i started geeking out too. xD But I try not to get too geeky so I don't see creepy. o.o

i use sailor moon t-shirts at work. one time i had my odangos on and one of my students saw it and went all like "look, it's sailor moon! it's serena!"

The girls who are pledging my sorority have a dress up thing today where they dress up like their Bigs, and my Little came over to borrow some clothes when I wasn't here and she's gonna wear one of my Sailor Moon shirts

One time I went into Hot Topic and saw two different Sailor Moon shirts and were all, "OMG IT'S SAILOR MOON! I NEVER SEE ANY SAILOR MOON STUFF ANYWHERE ANYMORE, I HAVE LIKE ONE SHIRT AND THAT IS IT. OMG I WANT THOSE SHIRTS WHY DON'T I HAVE MORE MONEY?!"

Just not out loud.

Back when I was working at the prize counter this pizza/arcade place, there was this one woman who had came up to the counter with her family, and she had a vintage Sailor Moon shirt on! (This was before they started making the new shirts.) I made my way over to her, just so I could comment on it. I wanted to talk with her longer, but we where swamped with kids from 2-3 different birthday parties, all wanting their prizes at once. @_@ Ah well, I guess a very, very brief conversation is better than none at all.

I'm so jealous of all of you. I've never met a single person in my life who knew what Sailor Moon was before meeting me. Although, one of my friends's freinds who's also kinda my friend said, "Am I not good enough for you?" In a conversation, and though I didn't say anything, I was thinking, Did you just quote Seiya??

Back when Suncoast was around, I saw a bunch of stuff that was SM and when my brother sent me a picture of a mall that he and his friends went too and there was a bunch of SM stuff and I went "Why don't I have money and why can't I visit that particular shop? I try to keep my SM liking a secret though. More so than LOZ for some odd reason.

Since the 20th anniversary boot-I've had a lot of people notice whenever I had sailor moon merch on me. As a kid-I was the only one who watched it out of my tiny group of friends. It's kind of nice, actually. More then half of them started a discussion, mostly on the old dic dub, then I'd inform them of the censorship and they'd be all "NO WAY I GOTTA WATCH THE ORIGINAL NOW" it was kinda fun.

I have Sailor Moon clothing, jewelry, purses and other accessories, and I wear them a LOT. my wallet and lanyard for my keys are sailor moon, i have big pink crescent moon decals on my 3ds and water bottle, and my phone is COMPLETELY decked out. case, screen protector, home button, lock screen, home screen, AND my ringtone is Moonlight Densetsu!

i've only gotten positive responses from people about all these things, even if it's just my purse and/or its contents that i'm rocking that day. it feels awesome to find fellow fans and to be acknowledged as a fan in a positive way <3

also, i was on the plane home from hawaii when i was 17, and i was already seated as boarding continued... and I SWEAR ON MY LIFE that I saw a woman who looked exactly like Haruka from Act 44. E X A C T L Y. short, flowy sandy hair, right jewelry, loose white blouse mostly unbuttoned like that...

it took so much self control to not say something, if not just outright scream HAHAHAHA
