Physical Description (include clothing generally worn): Ami has short blue hair that falls to just above her eyes, and her bangs are parted a bit to each side. Her eyes are a shade darker than sky blue to match her hair. She is about 5'4'' tall and somewhat slender with a feminine figure. She posesses a clear complexion and does not typically wear makeup. The only piece of jewelry she wears is a set of stud earrings inset with a blue stone. She also wears a simple watch with a silver band.
She dresses conservatively in earth tones. Most commonly she wears a pleated skirt that falls to below the knee with a blouse and a blazer with leather dress shoes. Other times she wears slacks, dress shoes, and a blouse. In the pocket of her blazer she always keeps a notepad. She has a pair of glasses that she wears occasionally, especially when reading.
Personality: Ami is soft spoken, often quiet, and studious. Because of her high intelligence and quiet nature she is often misunderstood by others as being aloof or anti-social and it has been difficult for her in the past to find friends. To the few people in her closest circle of friends who accept her as she is, she is fiercely loyal.
Ami has an overall gentle and kind nature but she also posesses a fierce competitive streak and can easily devote herself to something with singleminded focus, pushing aside everything else. She has a deep desire to help and to put her talents to the best use. She also has a curious nature that drives her to look deeper into things she does not understand, and it is hard for hr to let a problem or question go without an answer.
She is very reliable and extremely punctual, often arriving early. She loves to swim whenever she can get a chance. Ami likes her quiet time and loves to read. Sometimes she has to be drawn out by her friends at fun outings but once she puts the books down she can have a great time. Ami has a clear sense of right and wrong, and wants to help peple.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Her IQ is near 300. Her strengths lie in her intelligence and analytical skills.
History: Ami was born to a wealthy family. Her mother is a doctor in a large hospital in Downtown Manhattan. Her father is estranged from them and working as an artist. With the seperation and her mother's hectic schedule Ami sometimes hardly saw her mother for days on end but she strove to make her proud by excelling in school.
When she was younger she was an A student and though many women didn’t continue through school all their lives, she was enrolled in a private school for ladies to continue her education until she was 18. Her parents were well off financially so Ami was able to continue her studies without worry over money for tuition or the need to find employment. It was a gift that she knew not everyone could attain and it pushed her to work even harder.
Though female doctors were not the most common at the time, Ami had hoped to follow in her mother’s footsteps and studied hard for that purpose. But those plans changed when she met Minako. She was following up on a case and visiting a client in the hospital when they met, and Ami was able to deduce a few things about the case. After finding a fast friend in Minako, and helping unofficially with one of her cases, Ami began to feel that her talents could be used to help people there and eventually she and Minako became partners and Ami the future doctor became Ami the detective.

[b]RP Sample: Ami sighed and looked up from the pile of paperwork on her desk. She had taken to handling the bills and finances simply because she liked numbers, not that there was much in the way of high finances here with the way Minako sometimes took in charity cases if they were interesting enough, or if someone really needed help. But it was enough that they got along sufficiently, even if she did have to do some creative shuffling now and then to make ends meet.
It was still early morning and she took a break to sip her tea before it got cold. At that moment there was a knock at the office door, drawing her eyes to the silhouette of the visitor through the frosted window. “Come in.”, she said, getting up to open the door. But before she could get to the door the woman burst in.
Her hair was blonde and very long, tied to each side in a sort of bun with the rest of her hair hanging almost to her knees. And there were tears shining at the edges of her large expressive eyes. It looked like they might have another case after all.
