Ok so it's time for the new GC Art Contest! This time I've decided to change things up a bit. This art contest is for all the avvy and siggy designers here on GC!

Also don't feel discouraged if you are new at Avatar and Sig making, feel free to submit an entry anyway! Remember, its all for fun!


Challenge: Create a matching avatar and signature set with Galaxy Cauldron as the theme
Due: September 30th by midnight your time
Rules:

1. Follow all Avatar and Signature rules as per the Galaxy Cauldron rules (http://www.thegalaxycauldronforums.com/t32-signature-and-avatar-rules-and-tutorials-updated-4-6)
   
2. Entries must be related to the theme and the artist must be able to explain themselves if asked to do so (especially if it is more abstract for example)
   
3. Entries must be rated PG13 or lower. Nudity will be accepted on a case by case basis and will need a warning. Obviously no pornography allowed.
   
4. Your entry must be a new entry created specifically for this challenge.
   
5. You may only submit one entry.
   
6. Please upload your entry to a photo hosting website such as Photobucket. If you have a deviant art account, feel free to upload it there and link since Deviantart does not have any size restrictions like Photobucket.
   
7. Please submit your entry to me (Small Lady) via PM and no where else on the forums until the contest is over and a winner has been announced.

I got one entry so far! I can't wait to see others. And of course, once the contest is over, these will be open to everyone to use as their own sigg and Avatar.

As long as its ok with the creators and you follow the rules for Avatars.

what do you mean with galaxy cauldrom as the theme? something related to the forum? or to the real galaxy cauldrom?

When you say 'matching', do you mean having the avatar being a part of the signature that is just zoomed in, or do you mean just that the two have a similar theme?

Actually, Lady Tuxedo, you explained it well. What I mean by matching is that, they need to go together in theme. It doesn't necessarily have to be a simple crop of your signature to make the avatar, but they should match in some way. A lot of it is open to interpretation and if you aren't sure, feel free to send me a PM of what you got and I can answer any questions.

i still think this theme is too wide(?). i'm having trouble connecting with it and becoming inspired by it

But it gives us almost free hands ! I'm sure you'll come up with some ideas while making new siggies, that's what happens to me very often

Galaxy Cauldron can be up to your intrepretation. If you want something that has to do with the actual Galaxy Cauldron from the series, then do that, if you want it to be related to the forums in some way then do that.

If you can't think of anything then just wait until next contest. This is just a trial to try to spice up the contest. I wanted to try to get the avatar and siggy makers on here a chance to enter without feeling left out.
