| The first Sims game I played was about 8 years ago. It was "Urbz: Sims in the City"for the GBA and I fell in love with it. I haven't played Sims on the computer. I played Sims 3 for the PS3 and it was really good. I traded it in though because it kept glitching on me. I really miss that game. My favorite Sims game is Sims: Castaway. |

| I feel bad that I missed out on the second game. I enjoyed Sims 3 up to the University Life expansion. It just feels a bit glitchy in some portions of the game. Here's hoping the next update, whenever it's released, fixes some of the bugs and inconveniences in UL. |

| The newest expansion, Island Paradise, is coming out this Tuesday! Who's getting it either on Tuesday or later on down the road? I think I'll get it after I get Animal Crossing: New Leaf. They released a new patch a few days ago. It seems to be running a lot better than before. This is compared to the University Life patch. |

| I'm not getting the newest expansion. I always stop buying the sims expansions once they've released the year for the new game. It just doesn't seem useful to me to keep buying expansions when they've upgraded to a new game entirely. =/
They released a new patch? Gotta go in the sims and update!!! <3 <3

| That's a good question. I'd have to say my favourite thing to do is build a family and try to maximise my sims' skills as much as possible. There's so many things to do in that game. |

| It seems impossible to do everything. xD I have yet to do the following:
Make a band Lvl riding (Most of the lifetime wishes) and alot of other stuff.
I actually use my sims to get as rich as possible. xD I pass money on from generation to generation.
Other than that I use them to tell stories in my head. I tend to fall in love with my sims and refer to them as real people. My husband actually got upset with me a couple of weeks ago. I was talking to him about the mafia game I hosted with the sims 3, and since I had given all the mafia players their own sim, and I was referring to all the players by their sims' names, he thought I knew everyone by first name and felt like I was giving away too much personal info. I had to explain they were just sims character's names! |

| Oh my gosh you guys, I love the sims! I played the original sims and the sims 2, but didn't really get into the third. When it first came out it just felt the same as the sims 2 with easier neighborhood browsing. I recently noticed that if you get the 'showtime' expansion pack you can play online with friends/visit each other's towns. Why it took the sims this freaking long to make that possible, I don't know... lol BUT NOW I'M EXCITED AND WANT BACK IN.
Where do y'all download your mods from? I used to use modthesims for the sims 2. They had all sorts of stuff, but their sims 3 section is lacking. I've managed to find lots of pretty hair - but where is everything else? Specifically object mods is what I'm on the search for. |

| Well, custom content is typically a game crasher for me, so i'm not using them right now, however my favorite place to get custom content is "Thesims3resource.com" I love getting clothes, hair, objects, jewelry, make up, eye shades, shoes, and sometimes even houses from there.
Also, showtime is such a lame expansion, it's not all that good and it crashes your game alot. I've never used it to play with friends though. |

| Showtime only really crashes for me if I'm online. A huge part of it has just has to do with ym computer being old and cheap. My hubby wants to buy me a new one, so, we'll see on that. |

| What are everyone's favorite challenges?
Of course, there are the classics (the Legacy Challenge, Prosperity Challenge, Asylum Challenge and Apocalypse Challenge,) but I thought I'd draw attention to some lesser-known ones.
Sims 2 -> There's the Chastity Challenge, which I'll admit offended me the first time I read through the rules. But then I decided to give it a go. It turns out that keeping Romance sims happy without fulfilling a single romance-related want is incredibly challenging, and very fun (if not a little frustrating). I kind of ignored the "next generation" rules though.
I'm also fond of the String Me Challenge, which involves getting to the top of a career... without skill-building.
I haven't tried this challenge yet, but I want to playtest the Merry Merchant challenge sometime soon. Maybe I'll mix them with the Chastity and String Me Challenges. |

Which ones? The ones I posted earlier on this thread, or ones like the Dynasty Challenge threads in the Writer's subforum? |

| Well, You're still new to the game so you don't need them yet. After a while you tend to get bored with the same old same old. It gives you a goal outside of the sims game related to the sims game to focus on. |

| Pretty much what Natasha said; it's instinctive to play the same way every time you play a Sims game, which can get pretty boring after awhile.
The Chastity Society Challenge is a good example of that. When it comes to Romance Sims, Simmers usually will have them seduce as many people as possible or, if they're offended by that concept, will avoid playing Romance Sims at all. This challenge breaks the mold for both types of Simmers by featuring chaste Romance Sims. |

| I only ever played the console versions. I played The Sims and The Sims Breaking Out GameCube ports and SimCity 2000 for the original PlayStation. I once got a girl pregnant from kissing. True story. |
