Name: Usagi Tsukino
Gender: Female
Birthday: June 30th
Age: 21Birthplace: Cardiff, Wales, UK
Physical Description (include clothing generally worn):Usagi is the type of girl that never gets second glances - she never gets catcalls or asked to the dance. She isn't unattractive - quite the opposite really - but she is the kind of person that blends in. Despite some erratic behaviour (and a definietly questionable fashion sense) people never really take notice of her. Even her hair, shining like gold, held in the strange Odango style fails to attract much interest. She typically wears large sweater-shirts and mini-skirts, paired with tall striped socks and converse sneakers. In warmer weather the sweater is swapped for a turtleneck and the skirt, a tight pair of jeans.
She's a little short for a woman, standing at just five foot four. In her youth, she was a little chubby, plagued with a love of sweet treats and video games. As she has matured, however, this particular shortcoming has dissipated. Usagi is now lithe, though not at all graceful; her clumsiness knows no bounds and her strength is nil. Her clear blue eyes reflect her innocence and inherient wisdom while belying her devious childishness.
Personality:Sweet. Innocent. Kind. Edgy. Rebellious. Sarcastic. Usagi is a complex girl: sweet and kind at her core, but shielded from the outside world. While friendly to just about anyone, her kindness only extends to the surface. She has difficulties allowing people to see her for what she is; fearful that she will be hurt and, more recently, exposed for her dual identity.
Usagi has a fierce dislike of conflict and when voices are raised or even the slightest of aggression tints the atmosphere, she will become withdrawn and silent. While this tendency is less apparent in her soldier form, she always seeks after peace and solutions involving healing as opposed to destruction.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills:Does being able to eat an entire pizza solo count? no? How about being able to beat Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in under 8 hours? ..with your feet? Still, no? Then I guess she's not spectacular in a ordinary sense. She can't see the future, isn't really smart, burns everything she tries to cook and couldn't hold a note to save her life.
What makes Usagi special can't be manifested in a way people can see, not unless they look at the people around her. Like the waves of the ocean drawn by the moon, they change under her loving glow. Time spent around her brings smiles to their faces and dries the tears that stain their cheeks.
History:Usagi Tsukino is an English-born half-Japanese college student. She was born in London, England but called Cardiff her home. Her mother was a translator for the BBC and her father a British businessman. The two met and fell in love on their first date; a few years later they decided to move to Cardiff and raise a family. Her mother became a homemaker while her father did business in London, returning for long weekends. Ikuko was the ideal mother and woman; beautiful, tall and talented - she could sew, cook, clean and was very intelligent. Usagi was born on a warm summer day, two weeks early, while the newlyweds were out on a picnic. Quickly they rushed to the hospital and with all the grace of Selene herself, the little rabbit entered the world. Ikuko and Ken beamed down on the chubby infant and they couldn't be more proud - little did they know their darling daughter wasn't really their own, but a holy goddess reborn.
Soon after Usagi came a little brother, Shingo, and the couple decided to stop there. Life progressed as it naturally does and for a long time the family was happy. Usagi had a sweet tooth, was constantly late for school and even a little chubby. She loved to read comics with her friends at the arcade afterschool and giggled at any boy who but glanced at her. All was well. Until her mother discovered that her father had been seeing another woman - such a common vice, but no less devastating. Usagi was just entering High School at the time and took the blow as a deep betrayal. She withdrew from her family and friends; she escaped to night clubs instead of the arcade. Her mother became increasingly strict and as a result, Usagi's behavior became more and more delinquent. After graduating High School she decided to move to London and instead of attending university, she tended a pub downtown.
A year ago, Usagi became the sailor-suited vigilante, Crescent Ace. The night was late (or the morning early, depending on your point of view) and the blonde found herself wandering [read: stumbling] down a filthy alley. She was in search of her 'friends; try as she might, they had apparently left the night club and her.. again. This was the third time in a month they abandoned her. They warned her though, when she got tipsy, she got weepy and clingy. Not only was it a buzz-kill, but pretty embarassing as well. And there she sat on the wet cement, arms hugging tucked in legs, sniffling to herself with only the full moon for company. So absorbed was Usagi in her own problems that she failed to notice the gunshot echo two blocks away, or the tires screeching one. What she did notice was the trashcan, not 10 feet from her, crashing to the ground.
Before her was a stocky man in a blood-stained business suit; she tried to hide in the shadows but a shrill gasp escaped her lips before she could clamp her hands over her mouth. Her grabbed her ponytail and forced her to stand; the cold metal of a blade rest at the base of her throat and the barrel of at least three guns were aimed at her assailant. For one frightening moment she thought herself a human shield, the victim of circumstance. In a flash of crystal clarity she felt a warmth and weight grow within her hand and by instinct rose it above her head shouting, "Moon Prism Power". The light of the transformation surprised everyone and while Usagi doesn't remember the rest, 'Crescent Ace' (as the news came to call her) was able to knock the knife from the hand of the murderer.
When she awoke, Usagi heard the birds chirping and closed her eyes against the coming sun. She stretched and yawn - stiff from the drink, fighting and the.. park bench she had slept on. More than a little freaked out by the mysterious bruises (not to mention the bench), she headed home and for a month had no more incidents. Then it began happening - patches of her memory, just gone. She had no idea what she'd done or where she'd been, only injuries and increasingly strange tales of justice on the television. Eventually she did work out that she was indeed the one the people loved and the police loathed. Once she embraced it, she found herself gradually able to recollect the incidents until one evening she was in complete control.
Her justice-dealing began to interfere with her tending and after three weeks of late rent, her roommate had enough and kicked her to the curb. With nowhere else to turn, Usagi decided it was best to head home for a while. However, her mother didn't drive her home - but to the airport, instead. Her mother felt it best that Usagi spend some time on Tokyo, Japan. Live with her aunt, take in some culture, experience a different way of living. While initially she protested the idea it quickly grew on her and after a time through customs, off she flew. Away from her home and towards her destiny as Sailor Moon.
Her aunt Keiko is a kind woman, a decade older than her mother (50) and lives alone. Never quite able to live a full life, she mostly stays at home writing short stories and political commentary. She is a calm and quiet sort of woman, very reserved and extremely traditional. As per request of her mother, Keiko has enrolled Usagi in the local prep school part-time. Usagi has decided that before she gets a job (her aunt is really very well off) she will adapt to the different culture of and explore the city of Tokyo.Senshi Information
Senshi Name: Sailor Moon
"Crescent Ace"Senshi Fuku:Her hair is its usual blonde Odango, though the buns themselves have crimson caps on them. Her golden tiara is a simple 'v' shape, extending from within her hair, dipping to meet between her eyes. A white mask sits on her nose like glasses and helps to protect her identity, the edges curve upward like feathery wings. At the center lies a diamond-shaped ruby. She wears earrings with a dangling crescent moon. A silken collar fits snugly around her neck, a golden crescent moon shining from its center. A simple white bodice starts off the largest section of the outfit, which mimicks a traditional japanese schoolgirl uniform. From the middle of her chest springs a navy blue collar; it wraps around her neck, over her shoulders and extends nearly halfway down her back.
A large crimson bow covers the area from which the collar spings. After she has finished transforming, her brooch, the center of her power, is stored as the center of the bow. The sleeves of the fuku are composed completely out of three layers of white piping. The gloves, which extend to past her elbow, are white and have similar piping at their end, except in that the piping is red. Around her waist, dipping at the navel, is another layer of white piping. Springing from it is a single navy blue skirt, extending a quarter-way down. In the small of her back another crimson ribbon sits. Finally, she wears a pair of long, crimson boots - the topmost part of which are lined with a white ribbon and indents into a golden crescent moon.
Henshin/Transformation: Moon Prism Power, Make Up!
Powers: Moon Tiara Action: She removes her tiara and holds it up, deftly spinning it to a blur, before throwing it towards an opponent. If all goes well, it acts as a boomerang and returns to her hand after striking its target.
Moon Healing Escalation: With a circular motion, she unleashed a torrent of healing energy upon victims. It can be used to heal those transformed into monsters or to purify anything which holds evil properties.
Weapons or Magical Items: Transformation Brooch: In a time of desperation, Usagi found the small golden compact within her hands. Instead of crying out for help, she cried "Moon Prism Power!" and the rest was history.
Disguise Pen: Discovered for her shortly after her Brooch, the pen allows her to go undercover, if the situation calls for it, in order to get more information.
Black Pistol: She carries around a small gun in her purse at all times for protection. When Sailor Moon, she'll often use it to be direct and grab attention. Its really just a novelty lighter.
Moon Stick: A symbol of her leadership, the moon stick is a large gold crescent attached to a pink wand. Not a weapon of violence, Moon uses it to heal those afflicted by Chaos.
Musical Locket: A small golden star attached to a necklace. The face is engraved with a crescent and if opened, will play a mysterious memory.
Silver Crystal: While she doesn't know it yet, the crystal is held within her body. She is the catalyst needed in order for the seven rainbow crystals to coalesce.
Guardian: Not applicable.
RP Sample: (I just made something someone relevant to the story)Cool sheets. Warm sun. Buzzing.. Alarm? Usagi flung her arm out from under the sheets and smacked the pink kitty alarm right off her nightstand. As it crashed to the floor, she grumbled, tucking herself into a fetal position. With her head over her pillow and the thin cloth wrapped around her lithe form, she willed away the oncoming day. If she opened her eyes, the day would be real. If she opened her eyes..
Pulling herself tighter (if it were possible) she held back the waves of sobbing. She was frightened. So scared. Today was the big day. She would reveal herself to the feuding soldiers and she would meet.. him. The man of dreams. The regal one who beckoned her, urging her forward, driving her towards the Silver Crystal. So long she had helped them, fought alongside them. She knew that she was a source of derision among the warriors - a mysterious, gun toting, warrior of gold shows up - always knowing when and where their battles take place? Yeah, Usagi knows it is beyond suspicious and if she could explain it she would. But as she can't..
Finally, she let a single tear squeeze from between her clenched eyes. With a deep breath, she opened her eyes wide, threw off the sheets and placed both feet firmly on the floor.
