I MIGHT get a ps4 just to play this... omgomgomg the footage from the gameplay looks amazing. I'm kind of surprised that he doesn't look much older?

Well I think personally they didn't do too much on Sora yet because it probably JUST started development. I mean, he was in his KH2 clothes instead of an entirely new outfit. He most likely will gain a new outfit and they should probably mature his appearance, even a little.

I'm going to predict that KH3 will be released early 2015

I live next to Microsoft (almost literally 2 minute drive). I have so many issues with that company it's not even funny. Doesn't help I went to the high school who was heavily supported by Microsoft. The technology we received was great, but they really pushed the math and science which hurt a lot of us since majority of us didn't want to pursue a career that was math and science heavy.

Or mid-late 2014. Since they said in the trailer they are currently working on it. Maybe they'll do the same thing like Nintendo is doing with Pokemon. Have an full out international release for the game.

Angry parent got one at the release and let their kid play it for like ever, and when it died angry parent came into the store and threw it at my head. I duck and pop back up from behind the cash rap and tell him that voids he warranty. My manager couldn't breathe cause he was laughing at the way i handle the situation. Well that's my reason for never getting an xbox that and all the problems that Microsoft always seems to have. Sony is just the way to go, besides, the playstation has been known for getting the good RPGs, (Like KH) And i can't see that changing any time soon.

Yes, Playstation has been the platform for many great RPGs like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and my current RPG love, Persona 3 & 4.

So, anyone else thinking this will be the last Kingdom Hearts game? Having the amazing complex story wrapped up. Or maybe even one more game after Kingdom Hearts III?

I can see Kingdom Hearts, IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO, going on kind of like Final Fantasy.

I kinda want the Kingdom Hearts series to wrap up after the third installment. I think I got frustrated with the ridiculous amount of side-stories, so I kinda just want to enjoy it and end it.

I think the earliest it'll be released is Holiday 2014, but we all know that stuff happens and it could get pushed back. I doubt they are that far into making the game where they could release it mid 2014..plus it'd be better to release it right before the holidays

Ed is also a fan of the Persona series. She is trying to collect them, she's gotten quite a few.

I hope not in a way, i really love the story and I feel that if could very well be one of those games that keeps going make with a new set of main characters and what not, but I really think that it could keep going for a while. I say this because I want to work on a KH game. It's sort of like a big dream job for me.

I know I really want to see more. There's so much that could be done with all this, really. The options are at the moment sort of open. I could even see Sora and the others training the next group of Keybalde peoples, and their adventure. that would be so much fun to see, BUT then I just really want to work on one of these games.

 Nope. KH3 is just for PS4 (maybe Xbox One? not sure) and will not be for PS3. I guess all us Kingdom Hearts fans can finally rejoice now that the game is finally being made 

I read on one online source that it was set to be released for the Xbox One as well. If I could only remember where I read that.

Doesn't matter to me what games they get for that, though. I just cannot bring myself to support the Xbox One. I see no advantages to having it over the PS4 in the slightest. Microsoft has flown too close to the sun

Well, I say I want Kingdom Hearts to stop releasing side-stories and end... but I know I'd buy every Kingdom Hearts the companies could produce.

in all honesty im not really upset about it, I already expected the development to take quite awhile, with all the delays we had to wait through with KH2, im thinking ill be around 3-5 years before we see kh3
but that's just my pessimistic opinion

So a few days ago there was a bit of KH news.

Second: the KH 2.5 Remix site is up.  It looks like BBS will be playable on the PS3, and the featured video collection will be Re:coded.  This leaves Dream Drop Distance as the only game out of the line up so far.

They've been putting it off for a long time now. its about the right time of it to come out. I can't be sure but I think it's been in production for awhile now. I think they announced a couple years ago.

Nope they announced it just last year. production hadn't started until summer of last year
it hasn't been in production all this time
Nomura originally wanted the team that made KH1 and 2 to work on KH3
but that team was busy with Versus XIII, so after all the years FF XV is taking it looks like they forced Nomura to pick a different development team and get on with it

"Even though the Osaka team has developed numerous Kingdom Hearts titles before like Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], andKingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX-, this will be their first time developing a numbered title on next generation systems from scratch"

the game is being developed by a different team away form Nomura who is going to be in Tokyo the whole time it is being made

I have a pretty grim outlook on this game being as good as it can be, because of the team who has NO experience making games on a real console "trying their best" to make the KH III we have been waiting for for the last 9 years

So it sounds like they are doing the best they can on making us the best possible game. Despite them not having worked on games for "Real Consoles" they are at least series Vets and that something to be thankful for. And KH1.5 was on the PS3.

With KH3 coming to the Xbox one and PS4 it's a new frontier for everyone, very few have developed for these consoles and as it stands it might be a good thing to have a different Development team for this one. New eyes never hurt anything.

I'm excited by all i've seen and read about KH3, and honestly I don't mind if it's pushed to 15 or if it drops at the end of the year. From what I know of the Development process in games, they could give us a great game by the end of the year on the PS4, since they have a lot of the characters and environments made, they would really just need animation, sound and the minor touch up here and there. I say this sine as far as we've seen for this one in the trailers and the like Sora's character Model hasn't' changed much, I'm hoping that means we're going to see some character development this time. He's starting to become a little flat over all, while Riku keeps growing. I can only hope for that thought.

And when they announced all they said was in development. That is not an indication as to how long somethings been in development. I bet you they've been working on this title nearly since the last number title was out, if not before. 3 is suppose to wrap up the Xehanort Saga. I bet they had a plan for the numbered titles for years now and don't have to go all the way to the drawing board to make the games.

Well, im pretty pessimistic about Equare-Enix in general, ive been watching them closely since Kingdom Hearts 1 came out, and over the decade, im not really liking what im seeing from that company, as far as poor decision making and pretty terrible treatment of the fans, I mean, there was the whole FF XIV debacle, the 5 mostly poor side games KH got instead of KH3
and the nearly decade long wait for both KH3 and FFXV
im just really bitter about it now, im sure KH3 will be an enjoyable game, but when you make fans wait 10 years for a game, sometimes, their expectations start to become beyond reach, and thats what I think will probably happen
