As we get older, it's easier to wind up paralyzed with fear—that bit of perfectionism whispering in our ears that it's not worth trying if it won't be completely perfect the first time around. Don't let that control you!

Find somewhere to start... and take a chance! There's no penalty for failing, but if you succeed, that could be great!

What counts as "an element of chance" for this Challenge?
Feel free to interpret this in whatever way suits you! An element of chance could be a holding yourself accountable to a task you have been intimidated to do. It could be doing something opposite of what you usually opt for—for example, deciding to roleplay as the fiery and passionate Sailor Mars when you usually choose cool and logical Sailor Mercury. It could be writing a comedy if you usually write romance. It could be letting a random generator make decisions for you! Here's another option!

Stretch your wings! Get some variety!

What are the requirements for this challenge?
Commit to adding an element of chance to your writing practice for July!

• Join an existing Storyline or start a new one where you play a character that is unfamiliar to you!
  
• Branch out beyond the genre you usually write in, such as trading romance for comedy!
  
• If you're stuck with an existing project, try utilizing a random generator to help you move forward!

@-@ When I travel, the "element of chance" is always my nemesis where writing is concerned. Plan to spend mornings writing? Surprise! Family time! Plan to head to town to update something? Surprise! Their internet is down! Plan to attend an online group roleplay? Surprise! Gramma wants to go out to dinner XD

Leaving this until so late but I was hemming and hawing over it ^^;;. I will accept this challenge and take a CHANCE by finally posting some of my work on fanfiction.net!

I've always wondered if joining the community there might help egg me on to keep writing since I always just let things be abandoned on my own. But I've been super shy especially of sharing multi-chapter stuff because I don't tend to always write linearly ^^;;;. So then I go back and edit a bunch on the first chapter and... OTL.

BUT, then Sailor Mercury shared this eye-opening article and I think I owe it to myself to take that chance! Even though I have no designs on becoming a full-fledged WRITER necessarily... but STILL! XD (I'll have to figure out how to update with edits, but that can always come later!)

I posted one thing that I'm happy with and for EXTRA CHANCE, one thing that is super incomplete and I haven't looked at in years and isn't Sailor Moon XD.

Let me tell you this was not easy from mobile OTL. I'll have to get to the second piece tomorrow. Still! Challenge complete!
