Appearance: She is humanoid in appearance, though what’s underneath her thick rock like skin is a different story all together. Her skin, hard as stone, is reminiscent of the night sky just after the sun has set and the inky darkness taking over still has a purple hue to it. Her hair and eyes are the color of flowing, molten lava, with her hairstyle being wavy and length is apparently as long as it can get, to her feet (she might need to like put that up into a Rapunzel braid or something, let’s at least hope it’s fire proof). She is average height for her people, though she may be tall to some others, standing at five feet and eleven inches. In terms of clothing choices, she covers very little of her body, choosing shorts and sleeveless blouses that let her be closer to the heat of her home.

Voice: When she speaks, her voice is low and has an almost rumble to it.

Appearance:

Personality: Hot-headed, determined, quick thinking, physical, short-tempered, impatient. She looks before leaping and often has to deal with the consequences. She is fierce and will do anything to get the job done. She tends to be a little explosive when angered haha get it, guys she’s literally volcano incarnate. Because she is hot-headed, she can’t stand by and do nothing when she sees injustice. She can get impatient and rush things as well, which makes her peace keeping duties a little more difficult for her. She can be a little idealistic as well, especially in her goal of peace between the clans of her planet.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Beneath her more humanoid appearance, her body is constructed of molten lava and igneous rocks, allowing her to ignite herself and heal quickly from injuries by absorbing more volcanic material. She is internally heated and can't be injured by fire.

History: Obsidia is from Vulkan, a world that is still constantly shifting as its core cools. The rapidly moving tectonic plates create an abundance of volcano chains, lava, smoke, and igneous rocks, and from these volcanoes came the Vulkan people. Legends and myths say that the planet's soul itself, known and worshiped as the Burning One, first gave life to the Vulkans. They are igneous personified, their skin made of chunks of stone and their insides magma. The Vulkans formed clans based on the type of rocks they resembled, and these clans became the basis of their civilization, battling each other for power and order. As Planet Vulkan cooled, the once plentiful lava flows began to recede, and the clans struggled to have as much access to it as possible.

Obsidia was born as heir to the Felsic Clan, one of the higher ranked ones who still held control of an active volcano. Beyond their territory, others struggled and died from lack of resources. Kept ignorant from this by her family, Obsidia trained to fight what she assumed were greedy Vulkans that wanted to take what was rightfully theirs. This illusion was broken when she saw her first border skirmish, and noticed how weak the other side was. Horrified by this, she channeled her anger and sadness into prayer at the Burning One's temple. Over the years, the planet's influence felt as if it were fading away, but Obsidia's will was enough to wake it one more time. The Burning One gave her a single glowing shard of concentrated power, and with it, she became Sailor Vulkan. Her new powers allowed her to call upon lava at will, and the drought was ended, along with the clans' reasons for war. They united as one kingdom and grew beyond their warrior beginnings, though Sailor Vulkan was still needed to keep the peace until their transition was complete.

6 months into the Sailor War: Sailor Vulkan has been in the fray for the past six months, she hasn't died but obviously she has not been having a good time, since until 2 months ago, they were losing. While she and others had fought with all they could, it never seemed to be enough. Then suddenly those that had been lost returned to them! Praise the Burning One! Yet the war still goes on, given the choice, Vulkan decided to attend the Conclave with her representative Quetzal. Left to her own devices upon arrival, she spoke to a few, happy to at least meet others in a hopefully safe environment. She attended the sessions, choosing a mix of classes (Techniques for Decreasing Ability Cast Time, Citizen Defense Forces: Helping Civilians Help Themselves, Techniques for Regaining Enemy Strongholds, Directing Group Decisions).

Obsidian Rain-Her body flares up from within, and she expels small shards of obsidian in all directions.

Vulkan Eruption-She creates a small, localized volcanic mound, and summons a geyser blast of lava from it.

Ash Storm-She creates a dark, choking haze that hides her from foes and disorients them.

Superheat-Using the heat in her body, she overheats an area, say her hand and it becomes super hot, like molten lava hot, ~~hello new dooropener~~

Lava Sword-She expels lava from her hand that cools and become a sword (although a power up to this would be expelling from anywhere in her body)

Guardian: #fairyrock Her guardian is the size of your hand, a small molten core that’s constantly moving, with shards of volcanic glass orbiting around it, spaced out enough that you can see the core inside.

RP Sample: Dark, rough fingers fiddled with the ends of her hair as Obsidia listened to the squabbling between the two Vulkans seated on the rock with her. She huffed impatiently, what were they even arguing about again? Something to do with land, of course. She heard a small hum from behind her, turning around and hoping for a distraction, she instead found her brother. He nodded his head between her and the other two, warning her to pay attention. The slight sound of grinding could be her as she glared at him before turning back around and attempting to insert herself back into the conversation. Why couldn’t they just share? She screamed internally, her leg fidgeting as she fought the desire to tell them both off.

RP Sample V2: The day had been interesting to say the least. Obsidia sat on a ~~sturdy~~ chair in some common area where other senshi sat to discuss the day's events. Dinner had been boring food wise, she had learned to eat as others did, knowing that to do so otherwise could cause confusion ~~really how was her snacking on some delicious silica any different from the others and their soft mush??~~ Though she didn't quite have the same requirement schedule for nourishment it seemed most of the softer species did, she did have some tasty rocks stashed away in her room to enjoy before going dormant ~~please volcanoes don't sleep they go dormant~~. She had spotted another senshi that appeared to be something like her and yet not like her.
