I just had some neat thoughts if some characters from the manga of Sailor V were incorporated into the original for some of Minako's episodes.
Like episode 42, replace Katarina with Natsuna Sakurada, Alan with Toshio Wakagi, and make it more about old friends and companions and not about unrequited love.
Or have one of Minako's old friends, like Hikaru Sorano, appear as a victim of the week. Or maybe have Umino meet Gurikazu Amano (neither of them seeing the resemblance).

I would have loved to see more of Minako's friends and family in the 90s anime and learn more about Minako's life.
