As you might have guessed, I'm completely new here, thus I'm confused about the personal settings on the site and, as a result, I don't have a signature uploaded yet. Sorry if it's a dumb question, I couldn't find the answer in the rules or the newbie packet. I already made a file which complies with the size allowed on the forums but I have no idea how to insert a file off google drive. Is that even possible, to use a google drive file somehow or would I have to make an account on some sketchy photo hosting website? If I absolutely have to make a imgur or whatever I will, but I'd really like to avoid it. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It's not a big deal to be a little bit confused at first, since there can be a lot going on around here. But don't worry, we are here to help you figure things out.

Before I answer your question, I'd like to show you our Senshi-in-Training Program! If you have a hard time finding your ways around the Forum, you can Sign Up as a Mentee, and a more experienced Lotus Crystal will be assigned as your Mentor. This person will answer all your Questions you might have, and help you find your way around.

But coming back to your main Question: To edit your Signature, you need to click on "Profile" directly under our Forum Header and then you need to click on "Signature". There you will be in the Signature Editor. To use your Signature Image in there, you need to use BB-Codes. You can find Instructions on how to use them in the FAQ, but basically all you have to use is the img tag like this:

I'm not sure if you can use Images from your Google Drive though, you'd have to try. If it's not working, try uploading them to imgur. And don't worry, you don't need to Sign Up there! All you have to do is click on "New Post" on Top of the Page, and then choose the Image File from your Computer. It'll then Upload your image and you will see the link to it on the right.
