I had a question about where to put Anime Music Videos (AMVs)? They go in the Artist forum, but do I need to make another thread separate from my fanart one?

I think you can do either or. I have an AMV thread way back in the pages,  and an art thread. And a pixel thread. 
Just make sure you use the tags format
