Within the hustle and bustle of the frozen world of Winter Wonderland there is another place, with the warm glow of a fire within a beautiful library. Plush couches and chairs provide plenty of seating, with warm blankets and soft pillows tucked nearby. A small table contains a magical assortment of cookies, hot cocoa, coffee, and hot tea—always enough for everyone at just the right quantity, variety, and temperature. The decorations are exquisite, with boughs of evergreens and red bows on almost every surface. From inside, you can look out the window at the beautiful snow drifting past.
This is a place for Galaxy Cauldron Forums members to sit and socialize, enjoying the Festibration season as the year comes to a close!

Welcome to Festibration, everyone! I hope you are enjoying yourselves.
Personally, I'm thrilled to have the holiday season here! I've started doing some of my shopping, and last night I put up my decorations. Festivity everywhere!

I've found a hot chocolate that doesn't have soy in it, and have been enjoying hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream for the first time in like 6 years. There's been very little snow on my end though, it's all been rain. We're probably gonna wait till my sister comes home for her break to put up the tree, but we've got all our lights out already. (if you could see them through the pouring rain, that is.)

Wow, congratulations on finding hot cocoa that you can enjoy, Cosmos-Hime! I hope the rain lets up soon (or turns to snow)!
It's great that you've got a start on the holiday shopping, Diana~
I'm hoping to take my sister to see The Nutcracker, because the local company (Joffrey Ballet) has a new staging from a very popular modern classical ballet choreographer. Hopefully she'll soon tell me when she's available, so I can buy tickets~

The Nutcracker!! That's exciting! ♥ I remember seeing it once when I was really young while we were still living near Toronto. I had no idea what was going on at the time (plot-wise) but I remember really liking the sets!

I used to see the Nutcracker performed by the Houston Ballet every year with my father for nearly a decade. The Houston Ballet is putting on a brand new performance this year (they just retired their prior version) and I will be taking my husband, father, and my step-mother this year to see it. Also, my best friend's boyfriend works at the Houston Ballet as a techie. I've heard he has spent soooo many hours this year building the new set pieces. (I saw the old set pieces up close last year for the first time when I went behind stage. Omg, they looked pretty freaky up close, although they look so amazing from far away.)

In regards to musicals, I've seen the radio city music hall christmas spectacular twice. Once when I was 12, another time when I was 14 and it was a fantastic show each time! (Though that was at the local performance center. I WISH I'd had the money to see it in NYC, but that's the title of the musical.)
The nutcracker portion of the musical always blew me away-especially the costumes!

*Wanders in from the cold, dusting a bit of snow off my jacket.* Ah, what a lovely fire! I'll keep my hat on, as I sadly can't stay, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who organized and joined in the Festibration festivities! The month of December was rather busy for me (I didn't even get my decorations up until the 23rd haha) and would not have felt nearly as exciting as it did without everything going on here. It was so nice to hear about how you all were spending your holidays as well!
...Hmm maybe I'll just have a sip of this eggnog on my way out... Ah that's excellent...
Anyways, thank you again!! Enjoy the next week and the ringing in of the New Year! *Wraps scarf a little tighter and heads back out into the blustering snow*
