| Sailor Uranus has approved this Challenge as Sanctioned.Image courtesy of National Novel Writing Month.November is almost here! For me, that means one very important thing: NaNoWriMoWhat Is NaNoWriMo?NaNoWriMo stands for " National Novel Writing Month." It challenges writers to complete a 50,000 word novel from start to finish in 30 days. Why participate in NaNoWriMo?For anyone who enjoys writing, but finds that they do not actually finish their writing projects, NaNoWriMo can be a good experience to try and track yourself against a deadline. Writers—no matter whether they specialize in nonfiction, poetry, short stories, or novels—must actually write if they are ever going to finish anything. It is much easier to find ways to avoid writing than it is to write. Getting used to sitting down and focusing on your writing, rather than editing or brainstorming or anything else that is writing-related but not getting words down for your project, is useful! Personally, I love the pep talks! Published authors provide their tips and tricks to keep you going during the month! What if NaNoWriMo sounds too hard for me?It's worth trying. If you never try, you won't know if you could do it all along! And it's practice for next year. Plus, it's a great experience to connect with other writers! So, are you going to join in? |

It will be hard, but at least trying will help you get closer to, or even pass, your goal. ♥ (It's 2000+ words, isn't it?) |

| I'm going to try and join this year. I've done it three or four years ago and it helps when building a novel tbh (Nano is what gave me the series I'm working on right now so). Can't wait to try again if school can give me a break xD |

It starts on Nov. 1st, sorta like cheating if you start now. Isn't a novel....fanfiction? I'm not sure, but maybe this answers it: https://nanowrimo.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/329167-what-genres-can-i-write-in |

@Na11, have you seen the Young Writers Program? You might enjoy it! That site is so pretty.... And it's so...child-like- Thanks Mercury, It's sorta easier to work with as it's targeted for me and it's less professional. |

| Some of the resources might help you with your writing, in general. (Even beyond the scope of NaNoWriMo.) The novelist workbooks look great~ I used to have something kind of like that when I was younger—being able to plan stories in an organized fashion makes writing them out a little bit easier. ♥
That said, I tend to approach NaNoWriMo a bit more "surprise, time to write!" than I generally would like to, and this year is no exception. Still, I think I'm making an okay start.
How does everyone else feel about the first day? ♥ |

| A little bit nervous, but I've already written nearly 400 words, I'm planning to write 2,000 words per week at least.
Though, I don't want to set unrealistic expectations. I've written the prologue already.
Does anybody want to see it?
Not telling mom that I write, she would not be happy that I put kissing girls and profanity in my stories, and...things. |

| ✨✨✨ It's the final day! ✨✨✨ ✨✨✨ How is everyone doing with NaNoWriMo? ✨✨✨ I'm happy to report that I completed the 50,000 word challenge. My novel is not 100% "finished"; I outlined my final chapter instead of writing it. I was over 50,000 words and wanted to focus on holiday preparations, Festibration included. This doesn't bother me because rewriting will be needed as part of the editing process, which I actually think I might do for this particular fanfiction. I may legitimately have something to post on Fanfiction.net and such. |
