| Heyhi all, So it goes without saying that we have quite a bunch of talented artists here at the Galaxy Cauldron. And we also have quite a few aspiring young artists as well! Many, including myself, often have questions on how to continue to expand their artistic abilities but are not always sure how to go about it. Here is a place where you can request tutorials or supply your own. Feel free to post as often as you may like! Rules to Abide- You may request as many tutorials as you would like. But you must understand that some people may not have an answer for you or may take some time in searching for the technique that you seek.
- If you are asking a specific artist for their techniques you must keep in mind that they may not want to share them. You are expected to respect their wishes and not take offense.
- Please be specific in your Requests if you can! It will make it easier for people to help you.
- If you are sharing a Tutorial made from some one else (on Deviantart, tumblr, etc) make sure you include a link and provide proper credit.
- Topics may include anything from drawing, painting, siggies, avatars, psds, screencapping, screencap coloring, etc.
Enjoy! |

| So, I am not too sure what kinds of tutorials that people would like but since this is an animanga forum, I thought I'd start with a few of those. Now I personally have not made any myself but I do have a bunch that I know from DevArt and Livejournal. Click on the images to go to the tutorials! Basic Anime drawing and Coloring Tuts from DevArt. | That's really helpful Jupiter. I'll definitely be checking out those tutorials soon as I attempted some manga previously, got frustrated and ended up with many scrunched up balls of paper. Lol.
Great thread! |

| Request here! Would anyone know of any tutorials for Sony Vegas 8.0? I lucked onto a copy and would love to make an amv or two, but there are so many tutorials out there I'm not sure where to start. Anyone got any favorites that were helpful? |

Anyone got any favorites that were helpful? Well i don't know where your level of skill is yet on making videos. But one thing that i loved was coloring tutorials! So i guess to start off i would suggest taking a gander at this channel. X If you need any other help feel free to ask. I've been using vegas pro nine a little over a year |

| Request::
Can someone find me a good tutorial for digital drawing/coloring.
Also, I've been thinking about buying a graphic tablet. Any recommendations? I'm an absolute beginner willing to learn.
Idk why but I feel like making my own fanart |

Would someone be able to set up or show me a tutorial for doing siggies with motion with Photoshop CS5? Like the ones NQS and Averi have made? |

| Hmmm.... does anyone know of any good video converters? Teh interwebs is sorely lacking in Nyanko-chan animated gifs, so I have to source all of my own images. I'd be needing something to convert the lovely MKV files that SMC has provided into something like AVI, or other widely compatible video formats for further editing. |

I have used Any Video Converter and been satisfied with it If you're looking a converter to make GIFs in Photoshop, GIMP etc. I recommend you to extract the video image into JPEG images and make the animation from them in your photo editing software since some formats in Any Video Converter leave subtitles in the video. Oh and if you convert a MKV video, the best codec to use is x246 |

Yes, the version I'm using is a freeware ^^. Here's the link to the download page Any Video Converter Oh and if you prefer extracting the video into images (which gives you images without the subtitles) KMPlayer has very good capping and extracting options |
