Yeah, I could have told you that. I have 2 of the soundtracks from the dub and its got the credits for who sings the song.

Huh? The English opening remained the same throughout the DiC and Cloverway dubs.

Count me as someone that enjoys the English opening, though I prefer "Moonlight Densetsu" (DALI's version).

Fun fact: Sailor Venus never had a song on either English soundtrack, so, when "The Full Moon Collection" was released in 2002, they finally "revealed" that Sailor Venus sang the Sailor Moon theme.

Hey the english version is way better than this french song!

The english version's opening is pleasing to the eye and the beat is very catchy. Also it made me excited to see the other sailor soldiers.

This thread has me wondering with the redub, will we get an english version of Moonlight Densetsu?

Well, Viz generally likes leaving OP songs in Japanese nowadays (except for older stuff like Pokemon because Anime was still pretty fresh at the time), so I'm expecting just a subtitled Moonlight Densetsu...but the interview they just gave said that the voice actors they picked were good singers too. Maybe they'll make an exception and translate it this time just to mimic the old dub being completely in English.

Viz did Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha and both of those kept their Japanese openings/endings so I think they would do the same for SM.

Yup!  I love the 90s dub English opening.  I also love a bunch of the insert songs.  Back in high school, one of my favorite songs was "Rainy Day Man" and I sang it at a choir performance.

It's catchier than the sub though
