| Ok, so I know that pretty much everyone who has a Otaku Senshi has pretty much created their own Sailor Sun.
I know that in Sailor Moon's Galaxy, the Sailor Senshi tend to be planets. However, as seen with Sailor Stars, they can be stars and I remember reading on Wiki about the Cauldron how the Star Seeds of Senshi are pretty much sent to any galactic object that can have a protector.
So my question is why was the possibility of a Sailor Sun in Sailor Moons galaxy never brought up and do you think that perhaps the reason why we don't have a Sailor Sun is because that Senshi belongs to another galaxy? |

| As mentioned in the other thread, http://www.thegalaxycauldronforums.com/t157-theory-the-sun-in-sailor-moon, some look at Helios as the sun representation since he is like a guardian to Endymion/Mamoru. Feel free to check it out and post there as well Also as a side note, I have zero idea why people are fascinated with the sun's role in Sailor Moon; if it has a protector/representative. I personally never cared for the sun and whether or not it had those two things. It's a star. A huge burning ball of gas. That's it. No one can live on it or be near it or anything. So with that being said, I'm not really a fan of "star senshi". I'm a planetary senshi person (and I do have thoughts on Sailor Moon but that's another topic which I may or may not create). It makes more sense to me. I dunno why because Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, etc. are all gas giants, not terrestrial planets. (I do love Seiya though...though I don't get her senshi form name...) |

| Yeah but the Star Senshi are stars xD So I don't see why there's no Sailor Sun at least somewhere in one of the Galaxies! But thanks for that link I will definitely check it out! |

| [quote="Lady Tuxedo"]It's a star. A huge burning ball of gas. That's it. No one can live on it or be near it or anything./quote]^.~ The latter could be said for any gaseous planet; no one can live on any planet but Earth, and especially not Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus or Neptune, and living on Mercury and Venus would be hellish and impossible for life-forms such as ourselves. I always imagined the Sol Kingdom, when it was alive, to exist in an alternative dimension, like Elysion does. - Addelyn wrote:

I think that the Sol's sailor crystal was used completely in the protection of Earth, thus why Mamoru is protected by the Sun as he protects Earth, and it would explain his Golden Crystal (but I think this point was talked about in that other board Lady Tux linked. ^^) That lack of a sailor crystal would have invited the presence of Chaos which eventually coalesced to form Metalia. And if the Sol's sailor crystal did merge with the crystal of the planet Earth to become the Golden Crystal, Mamoru's crystal, then there would be no Sailor Sol in the future. |

That only explains our galaxy. It makes sense given the Golden Crystal and what I've read about it (I've only just started Super S in the anime and haven't read the manga yet!) But the galaxy if a very big place. I still believe that somewhere out there, there has to be a Sailor Sun or Sol or whatever you'd like to call her (or him if its a Guardian!) I think it's still fun to think about and to create designs for a Sailor Sol |

| Well i would image there are Senshi of Stars, however, i doubt they'd be call Sailor Sun. Sun is a name that we, people from earth, have given to the giant gas ball. Also, other cultures call it different names so.... i'd imagine in other galaxies, stars similar to our sun would have much different names. |

!! Yes; there are bound to be senshi named after the Stars of their system (their 'Sun's), but no where would there be a Sailor Sol because Sol is our system's star; if she existed, she would exist in our system and no where else because that is where her guardian celestial body resides. A Sailor Crystal is just a celestial body's Star Seed born inside a mortal being, imbuing the mortal with powers of the celestial body to protect the life on that celestial body. It wouldn't allow it's seed to be born outside its system (nor would it be able to!) as its mission is to protect the life surrounding it. |
