[2/26/2016 8:50:31 PM] Kyralih: They came out of a partial Sailor Teleport exactly where they needed to be, and yet none had ever seen this place before. As boots touched ground they were immediately set upon by the intense jungle heat and humidity, mosquitos finding them easy prey and swarming at first, then dissipating - it was odd, until the little Goat appeared and hopped delicately from rock to rock until she stood atop an old fountain before a large, sprawling complex overrun with jungle vines. 

"We're here," she bleated, nodding her head back towards old stone doors, wrapped shut by the dense foliage, "Somewhere in that temple is the Sacred Star Fruit. If you could find some for me, I'm sure we could use it to lure out Monkey before it's too late!"

The goat looked very tired, and settled down atop the dry fountain top, struggling not to fall asleep from her year long vigilance that should have ended days ago. "I'll leave it up to you, Sailor Senshi; I believe in you!"
[2/26/2016 8:54:23 PM] BRITCHAN: "Yes! We can do it!" Sailor Chibimoon looked at her friends around her. There was nothing that could stop the Sailor Team! "Where should we search first?"
[2/26/2016 9:00:46 PM | Edited 9:01:09 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: Before Jupiter could even take in the jungle scenery, something that would have amazed her in any other less important situation, the less pleasant parts of the rainforest hit her. Too bad they didn't pack any sunscreen, or insect repellant...

"We'll have to find a way into that temple first before we can look anywhere," she said, Chibimoon's enthusiasm cheering her up a little. "If the doors aren't tied shut with vines..." Jupiter walked over to the stone entrance, scratching her new collection of mosquito bites on her other arm as she examined it. Maybe they could rip through the foliage and push them open?
[2/26/2016 9:02:48 PM] BRITCHAN: "Oh right..." Chibimoon mused as she looked at the vines.  Well it was obvious what they must do. "Attack the vines!!" Chibiusa ran, yelling to boost herself, towards the stone doors and began trying to tear the vines with her hands as much as she could.
[2/26/2016 9:03:44 PM] Kyralih: The vines were old and tough, but they were tearing as normal vines would! It just might need a little more strength... or something sharp...
[2/26/2016 9:07:31 PM] ☼Tsuki/Neptune: A yelp escaped Usagi as a mosquito landed on her arm. Swatting it away, she looked around, taking in their surroundings.

"That's right!" she nodded in agreement to Makoto's statement.

As Chibiusa began to tear apart the vines, Usagi's attention was drawn to her. The vines looked to tear rather easily...

"Two will dig through faster than one!" she thought and jogged to join Chibiusa.
[2/26/2016 9:08:21 PM] Addy: Neptune took a moment to examine her surroundings after their feet touched the ground. Where was this fruit hiding? 

Taking a step towards the vines, Neptune could see that they would most likely break with some force. Uranus' sword would have done the trick or another sharp object - using their powers at this point would be overkill and probably cause more damage than good.
[2/26/2016 9:09:28 PM] BRITCHAN: "Sailor Moon I can do this on my own!" Even though, she was glad for the help, she knew she could do it...though her fingers were starting to hurt from the vines..._"Besides, you'll probably just hit me in the process with your clumsiness"_
[2/26/2016 9:09:52 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: Jupiter took a step back as Chibimoon charged the door and started tearing away the plants quickly followed by Sailor Moon. It seemed like they were going with her plan after all. Well that made it easier to help at least. "Hey, leave some work for the rest of us!" Seeing that the vines were weakened, Jupiter shoved against the stone doors with as much strength she could put into it, her boots digging into the soil.

When Makoto's push didn't succeed in opening the door, Usagi felt her shoulders slump down.

"You're kidding me!" If Makoto couldn't open the doors without attacking, who could?
[2/26/2016 9:16:03 PM] BRITCHAN: Chibimoon cocked her head as she watched Jupiter push the door. She looked at the dor noticing deep grooves. "Hey...whats this?" she pointed at them.

As she was wondering how to somehow push the door even harder, Chibiusa's observation caught her attention. "Are those... door handles?" Jupiter blushed as she realized what was going on. "I was supposed to pull..."

After a moment, Makoto succeeded in opening the door.

"Hmm... I think we should go straight ahead!" She suggested.

If there was a puzzle here, she certainly didn't see it. In her mind, the straightest path was the least confusing one, and it would logically lead deeper in.

"Chibimoon! Are you alright?!" she asked, squeezing her hand in turn.

"That's right, we shouldn't split up!" The thought of what could happen to any of them if they split up snt chills down her spine.

"Michiru-san, do you feel anything from that direction?" Michiru's intuition was something Usagi could trust, just as Rei's. It was better to ask before any more doors slammed shut all of sudden.

"We need to be on guard, I sense hints of danger down both paths," she murmured as she continued to focus. The right path ended quickly, with the left one going on longer. Something about the left told her it was the way to go. 

"Left is our best choice," she said as she opened her eyes. Neptune couldn't help but wonder what danger waited them.

[2/26/2016 9:42:07 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: Usagi stopped her just as she was about to walk towards the door. Oh right, Neptune could sense things as well as Mars could. That would be useful in a place like this, with no map to guide them. "Alright, uh, left it is then!" Jupiter said. At least they weren't going in blind now. But there was still danger. being cautions as she approached the door, Jupiter took a few steps through the left one.
[2/26/2016 9:43:22 PM] Kyralih: The hallway curved away from them, tilting counterclockwise if they were in the 6 position. Everything was made of stone; some dry parts, some damp; in some spots, the floor was covered in those thick vines again... they were hard not to trip over...
[2/26/2016 9:47:13 PM] ☼Tsuki/Neptune: Usagi followed in suit as Makoto entered the hallway. The curving path made Usagi feel slightly dizzy - it was like they were walking in one huge spiral. Then her foot caught on something (a vine?), and she fell over with a yelp.
[2/26/2016 9:47:46 PM] BRITCHAN: "Aieee!"_Chibimoon, who was still holding on to Moon's hand, fell along with her. "Baka Usagi!!"_
[2/26/2016 9:48:04 PM] Kyralih: The hallway, and the rest of the temple, was actually lit rather okay due to unfortunate holes in the ceiling that let some light in, filtering down in soft beams in places, or providing just enough illumination to see in others. 

! Just as the girls hit the floor, a sharp whoosh! sounded!

[2/26/2016 9:50:02 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: "The floor's overgrown with plants in here. Usagi, be care"- Jupiter looked back as both Sailor Moon and Chibimoon fell over. She should have expected that. The strange sound after caught her attention though, and Jupiter was on high alert in an instant.

[2/26/2016 9:50:36 PM] Kyralih: The sound was coming from behind.... WHAT IN THE WORLD?! ARROWS WERE FLYING ACROSS THE PASSAGEWAY, CHASING EVERYONE FORWARD!
[2/26/2016 9:51:08 PM] BRITCHAN: Chibimoon's eyes widened as she turned around seeing the arrows. She quickly got up and pulled on Usagi. "RUN!!!!"
[2/26/2016 9:57:09 PM] ☼Tsuki/Neptune: Usagi dared to glance over her shoulder, only met with fast approaching arrows. Right at that moment, she felt Chibiusa pull on her and jumped up as fast as she could. Srcambling to her feet, she started running as fast as she could.

"What's up with these booby traps!?" she cried.
[2/26/2016 9:58:27 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: "moon turds!" Jupiter struggled not to just pick Usagi up and place her on her feet as the wave of arrows came closer. "No time for questions, just run!" She grabbed Usagi's other hand and ran with her, hoping Neptune was following.
[2/26/2016 10:00:39 PM] Kyralih: They ran as fast as they could down the hallway, jumping over groups of thick vines, but -- the floor was suddenly slippery! Water had leaked in through the cracks in the ceiling, oh no! Arms flailed as legs attempted to find purchase and -- WHAT IN THE WORLD, A GAP IN THE FLOOR AHEAD?!? ANOTHER BOOBY TRAP!!

They were slipping and sliding towards a pit! They'd need to jump across, but how?! The arrows were still coming!

She had an idea but didn't know if it would work, she'd never use her attack in this way before....What else could she do?  Calling forth her Pink Heart Rod to her hand she cried out "Pink Sugar Heart Attack!" and aimed the forthcoming hearts at the ground in attempt to bounce her up and over the hold all while still gripping onto Usagi.

But then pink sugar hearts popped out and the pair bounces high and sails over the pit to safety!
[2/26/2016 10:08:04 PM | Edited 10:08:36 PM] ☼Tsuki/Neptune: Exactly how were they supposed to survive this? Arrows were still flying in the air and Usagi was focusing all of her energy into dodging and struggling to stay up on the watery surface. 

And then she saw the gap and the empty pit in her stomach grew. They had no opportunity but to jump, did they?

Then Chibiusa called her attack, right before they jumped. The next moment they were mid-air, flying to safety. 

Usagi sighed in relief before turning to Chibiusa.

"Chibimoon, that was amazing!"
[2/26/2016 10:08:20 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: Jupiter wanted to say an even stronger word at the sight of the pit ahead, but focused on trying not to panic. They'd  have to jump it, but how would.... Her brainstorming was interrupted by Chibiusa's attack, and she watched in shock as both Sailor Moon and her were pushed over the gap. Well that solved one problem....

Determined that it was possible to get over, Jupiter tried to build up speed without falling over on the wet floor, and then tried to jump the gap herself.

[2/26/2016 10:14:48 PM] Addy: Having been a little further back than the rest of the group, it gave Jupiter enough time to clear the jump before Neptune launched herself over the pit, landing in a perfect gymnast pose on the other side.
[2/26/2016 10:15:26 PM] ☼Tsuki/Neptune: Usagi pulled at Makoto's hand with all of her strength, Chibimoon as her aide, succeeding in their task. The strength Usagi put in her pull, however, was so strong she was close to falling on her back, her balance lost momentarily.
[2/26/2016 10:16:01 PM] BRITCHAN: Chibimoon looked at Neptune in awe and surprise. The look turned slightly into envy. There always had to be a perfectionist in the group....Though she forgot for a moment she was helpig pull in Jupiter and she lost her balance along with Moon.

Neptune wasn't feeling any bad vibes coming from this hallway anymore; were they in the clear?

"Thanks guys..." she said, getting off them and brushing herself off. She wasn't sure whether to clap politely or be surprised by Michiru's landing.

She brushed the thought off and followed after her friends.

[2/26/2016 10:26:28 PM] Kyralih: On top of each chamber was a symbol with a monkey... one covered its eyes, one its ears, one its mouth. In the center of the room was a large tree surrounded by a pit of hissing snakes; up in its boughs were the star fruit!
[2/26/2016 10:27:45 PM] BRITCHAN: Chibimoon gazed in awe at the expansive circular room.  When her eyes finally saw the star fruit she cried out in joy, _"That must be it!_"  They were so close! Just needed to get the fruit.
[2/26/2016 10:28:57 PM] JupiterThunderCrash:  "Not sure how to handle the snakes though..." Jupiter said. How would they cross the pit without getting bitten? She looked at the three chambers, studying the different monkeys. "You think those have something to do with how to get to the tree?"

But her momentarily joy was washed away as she spotted the snakes. They still had way to go before they could call the task finished.

"Mako-chan, you're genius!" she turned to her friend. "But... what are we going to do next?"
[2/26/2016 10:33:17 PM] BRITCHAN: Chibimoon thought and thought...she had recognized these symbols from somewhere before but she couldn't remember. "Ah..." she thought a moment more and turned to Jupiter with a blank happy expression. "Jupiter, Throw me as hard as you can."
[2/26/2016 10:35:52 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: Mako couldn't help but grin at Usagi's compliment, and did her best to figure out what to do. "Hm, I think there was a saying about monkeys that had something to do with those symbols... Wait, what did you say!?" She did a double take as she registered Chibimoon's request. ""Are- are you sure you want me to throw you?" What if she didn't throw her high enough, and Chibiusa hit the snakes? Or worse yet, she overshot and hit the ceiling?

"Chibimoon, you can't be serious?! What if you hit your head, or fall down to that pit, or...?"

[2/26/2016 10:40:57 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: "If... if you say so..." Jupiter gulped, and then looked determined. "Alright, here it goes!" She picked up Chibimoon, held her over her head, and then threw her up towards the higher branches, hoping she hadn't just brained Usagi's child on the stone somewhere.

WAIT THE TREE WAS NOT REAL AND CHIBI MOON WENT STRAIGHT THROUGH IT!! She passed over the entirety of the snake pit and looks like she'll land, butt-first, on the floor on the other side.
[2/26/2016 10:42:51 PM] BRITCHAN: "Aaaaah!!!" Chibimoon yelled as she went through the tree and fell right on her butt, then tumbling further. "Oof! ooowww!" She looked back at everyone with tears in her eyes. "MY BUTT!"

But then she flew straight through the tree and landed on the other side.

"Chibimoon, are you alright?" Usagi asked as she jogged to her. What on earth was up with that tree? Was it an illusion?

[2/26/2016 10:46:16 PM] JupiterThunderCrash: "Sorry!" Jupiter called after cringing, running over to meet her. At least she hadn't landed headfirst... "You're okay, right?" She really did feel terrible now.
[2/26/2016 10:47:41 PM] BRITCHAN: Chibimoon wiped her tears. "Yes, I'm fine! But I think I remember what these symbols mean. I remember learning about them in school! They are hte three wise monkeys. "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" But what does it mean? Where do we get the fruit from?"
[2/26/2016 10:47:50 PM] Addy: Something wasn't right here. After watching Chibiusa go through the tree and land on her behind - Neptune couldn't help but wince a little with that landing, it had to have hurt - she reached out with her senses once more. There was something about the three rooms that lead off the room they were currently in, although she couldn't get more specific than that. 

"I get the feeling we're meant to search those rooms that lead off this one," Neptune said, gesturing to what she meant.

Over Usagi's head, the ceiling slipped away to reveal the actual Starfruit tree! As all three rooms glowed, a single, juicy, delicious looking piece of fruit fell down into her hands.

They did it! They got the fruit!

Bewildered, Usagi stared at the fruit in her hands in disbelief before her face lit up.

"We did it!!"

Before them stood the Goat, who weakly curtsied before them. "Thank you for finding the fruit! Now we just have to come up with a plan... we need some way to advertise that we have the fruit, and then figure out a way to catch him - or make him stay in one place, anyway - to make him take over as guardian of the new year."

She looked to the senshi gathered, _"Any ideas?_"

He reached out, his legs wrapping around Mercury's waist, arms straining to reach the fruit Mercury had on her.

Goat watched on, nervously, her eyes wide with fear and fright. "Monkey... What is happening to you? Monkey, you need to take up the protection of this year - something is wrong with you - you need to take responsibility before you turn back into a mindless monkey!"

But Monkey wasn't listening!

"Maybe... maybe giving him the fruit would be okay," the goat said to Chibimoon gently, glad that soon her ordeal would be over
