Hi everyone!

You may have noticed something new on our side bar. Something new and pink!  We (the Inner Senshi Admin) have decided to try out a a Shoutbox as our means of a chatroom. We felt the old chatbox was really lacking in features and wanted to try something new.

Things to Note:

• Chatroom Rules still apply!  Also, you are still very much welcome to join us in the GC Official Skype Chat. ^_^
  
• This will be a TRIAL RUN.  We get one week of premium for free, which allows private chats and instant chat features.  After the week is up, we will then get feedback from all of you to see if you prefer this new chat or the old chatbox.
  
• AN ACCOUNT IS NOT NEEDED TO USE THE CHAT. You only need to make an account if you want to have an avatar show up or post links. ^_^
  
• You may need to either refresh your theme, by going to the bottom of the forum and selecting a different theme. Or delete your browsers cache if it is not loading correctly.
  
  

So we hope you all will enjoy the shoutbox.  Like I said, this is a trial run and we will be asking for feedback once the week trial is up.


If you have any questions or issues getting it to work, please ask and we will do what we can.

Also here's my feedback after some very short use:

- Love the format of the chatbox
- What if your username that you use on the site is taken? Maybe we should have a rule about making usernames match?
- I wish it had a "popout" feature where I could open it in another window.

It's a great change to the old one!

I was playing around with it late last night, and I think I accidentally figured out how to do this one.  First, click on the Options tab (just outside the upper-right corner of where the Shouts appear).  Then, under the Actions header, click on the Expand button.

Try that, Henshinyo.

As far as the username thing goes, since accounts are optional I'm not sure how we can go about that, but I want to say the admin CP for hte chatbox allows us to at least delete users if someone takes your name. Though, i think thats a good idea to have a rule about that if we decide to keep it (which I have a feeling it will stay unless we find something better).

With this new shoutbox it always takes years until it loads the entire site for me - am I the only one or is there a trick to make it better or anything? xD

Actually I was having issues with forum loading slow until yesterday, but it would load fine in chrome for me.  It is slow for me again today. Slow forum loading could be an issue with forummotin. If the shoutbox itself is being slow to send things in, then its on yourshoutbox.com's side of things (they are the service provider).

Anyone still have slow issues?

I'm still having issues with the pages loading slowly even in chrome

Is that with the forum as a whole or just the shoutbox?
