Callisto turned again to try for a third attack, only to be forced to jump out of the way of a barrage of pearls. She turned to see Oberon on the ground instead, the Clam having caught her in the crossfire. Instantly, all the voices in her head cut off. 

Damn. She needed to finish this quickly before- Sedna struggled to slash at Clam with her halberd as she fought the ocean's pressures, only to be struck with pearls again. If her face could make the right expression, Callisto would have cringed.

Now it was just her and an injured senshi against this thing... She turned back to the Clam and growled, going for one last tackle. Her transformation was about to fade, and she had no idea what she'd be able to do after that besides try to hold out with Sedna until the seed was destroyed.

That hadn't gone like she had planned. The pressure slowed her down tremendously. Pressure...wait, the crone had said something about pressure, hadn't she? Grabbing the pills and the potion from where she had stashed them, Eshana quickly swallowed the pills, followed by the potion, hoping that she was making the right choice. 

Perhaps a magical attack was the way to go, but with Callisto going in for another tackle, she couldn't risk hitting her companion. Instead, she moved towards the space between the eel and the dragons, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. 

I'm sorry dragons, she said in her mind, knowing that the Clam could take this out on them.

Oh God, Ribbon thought, her mouth opening to emit the radiation she had built up, It hurts so much! She couldn't think anything beyond that, the rest of her mental capacities going towards gathering her power and preparing to fire; she didn't notice the absence of others' thoughts in the fresh wave of pressure, and had no idea Leviathan had warned her against this action.

It was so tough to move, though; her scales were having a hard time vibrating - it would take longer to charge then normal, but she would do it. She would help Leviathan!

Chaos Seed Group

Sailor Nocturnus

The eel noticed that something was going on! Sailor Nocturnus was not about to let the guardian of the Chaos Seed return to her post. They needed to keep her distracted while Leviathan did what she could—especially now that their mental link was abruptly cut. She didn't have time to think about what that might mean for Oberon and his group. They couldn't stop now. They could only keep going.

The pressure hurt. It made her entire body ache, squeezed painfully and compressed as the Chaos Seed tried to protect itself and warped the planet in the process. But she still had that pill. She hastily swallowed it, not even waiting to feel the impact before proceeding.

"Ecliptic Rotation!" her voice rang out, hoping to hurt the Eel or at least trying to keep her from firing her electric attack.

Attack:

Enoch

Enoch couldn't believe what he was hearing. Did the eel just say she wasn't trying to blow up the planet?

"If you're not trying to destroy the planet, then what exactly are you trying to do?" he asked in strange curiosity.

But then she went away, straight toward the seed. He noticed something strange was happening toward it. It was cracking, which made sense if Leviathan was attacking it invisibly. But there was something else. He wasn't sure what in the world Ribbon was or what she was doing and now the eel was quickly approaching where Leviathan was punching the seed.

"Leviathan!" he shouted in her very voice. "Get out of there!"

A decoy?! 

Well, alright then - she could play along --

But before she got the opportunity to, Leviathan's attack hit the seed and the pressure increased again; she sudden shock kept her in place as the enemy stalked Enoch-as-Leviathan. She started to pull herself back to her feet when the pressure increased even more, this time actually hurting her rather than just feeling uncomfortable. She coughed blood and made to move after the creature before it could reach the seed --

But why was Leviathan not using her magical attack again?

If this headache would just go away maybe she could think --

The pill they had been talking about. Enyalius quickly dug it from her fuku as Nocturnus fired on the enemy and shoved the concoction into her mouth, swallowing it whole.

As the effects of the pressure wore off, Enyalius rolled her shoulders, watching the eel-woman be struck by Nocturnus's starlight beam; she had hoped that it would be enough to deter her, but she still had her eyes set on the seed, and whatever Leviathan was up to there. 

Before she could reach the seed, Enyalius struck, dashing forward, calling on her sword --

 The Eel, struck by the invisible beam, is thrown backwards by, to her, no good reason, but that 'no good reason' seemed to overwhelm her, and in what should have been a momentary blink, she died.

Ribbon blinked after firing to clear her head, but instead of seeing the seed explode or something, the Eel woman that had been after Leviathan was thrown backward.

Did she...? 

She did that. 

She hurt that woman, but in doing so she might have saved Leviathan.

She helped.

She had wanted to help and she had actually done it! "You can do it, Leviathan!" she cried.

The pressure was gone, but now it was back and it hurt.  Achelois could feel damage being done because of the pressure.  A flurry of attacks meant the eel was dead but Enya was hurt, the seed was still alive but it seemed Leviathan was out of energy.  Achelois sent healing energy to Enya and yelled for the others, "Leviathan just has to deal the final blow, everyone else can attack it to make it weaker for her!"

While Callisto was keeping the clam occupied, Eshana used Oceans' Grace on herself while she looked to see if there was any indication of how the Clam was hurting the Dragons.

It didn’t take long for them to defeat their enemy, which was great. As she was vanquished, Nix took the down time to pray to the amulet she carried with her, summoning more magic from her planet. She did it twice over, leaving the last burst of magic for later.

The pressure hit her unexpectedly, and Callisto almost collapsed as she was forced to reorient herself under it. The pill must have had an earlier time limit than she thought, but the Clam wasn't defeated yet... As if to compound her problems, she reverted to her senshi form as Vengeful Ursa ran out. As the rage and adrenaline faded, her entire body felt sore, along with the pain of being crushed by water.

Callisto decided to try and get back to the dragons and Sedna, and struggled to cross the distance back to them. If she could get a shield up, maybe they could survive this...

With Callisto no longer a bear and trying to maneuver herself away from the clam, Sedna took the opportunity to launch her own attack. While the clam was still focused on her companion, she shot forward as quickly as she could, bringing her halberd down to strike. 

Her sword struck true, but the woman twisted away, intent on the seed - after the thrust it would take another step to reach her, and by then --

but suddenly she was pushed aside by an unseen force. She hit the ground hard, and Enyalius moved quickly to cover her, kneeling by her throat, putting her tiara's blade to the exposed blue flesh, but the woman didn't move. Her gills didn't twitch, her chest didn't budge. Enyalius put a quick hand on her chest to feel for her heartbeat, but found none. 

Whatever attack had struck her had killed her. 

She removed her hand, the thrill of battle leaving as she realized her duty was done. She had nothing else to do here - nothing but watch as Leviathan destroyed the defenseless seed and saved her world. She stared down at the dead opponent for a moment, taking in what that meant, her chest tight and uncomfortable. She had done what she had decided to do: she had helped save Andromeda's and Leviathan's planet. But not her own. With eyes open but blind to the world, she slid her tiara back into her hair and sat back on her folded legs, her body in a posture of defeat, her hands in her lap.

Grateful to Sedna for covering her, Callisto got to the dragons and turned to face the clam, wondering why there hadn't been a counterattack. Instead, all she saw was...a shell? Was this another ability the clam had? But now that it was clearly stationary, maybe she could still attack after all.

But...the last time she had thrown her disc, it hadn't ended very well. Instead, Callisto summoned her shield. "Major Guard!" The curved barrier extended to protect as many of the prone dragons as she could.

After seeing the Clam ensnare Sedna in a strange net, Callisto decided to stay put and hold out as long as she could. She grabbed the health potion and drank it, trying to keep her shield up as long as possible.

"Ribbon," Sailor Leviathan said in wonder as Ribbon tore apart the eel with gamma rays of all things. She was so shocked, her illusion fell about her, leaving her quite visible there in the core. She held out a very proud and enthusiastic thumbs up to her new friend, still stunned by her power.

But then there was the problem with the seed. She breathed heavily as she came to the conclusion that her battered knuckles would do nothing against this catastrophic machine of evil.

"I can't do it," she said as salt tears began to build up in her eyes. "I'm not strong enough... I've run out of power. This sucks. I shouldn't be the one to save this planet! I'm a failure!"

At this moment, Enoch watched on with a devastated face. He hadn't lost hope in the princess, but he knew that this development would only force him to come to terms with something he would have rather left in the dark.

"Azazel Power... Suit Up," he muttered to himself.

A yellow light overcame him, replacing his coral and sea themed uniform with what appeared to be a white colored uniform, not unlike one a Japanese school uniform for men. About him fell a brilliant yellow cape that was tied about his shoulders with a gold rope. The uniform was simple, but those who saw it could easily recognize it as belonging to someone who possessed a Sailor Crystal.

It was clearly Enoch, but at the same time it was clearly not. His hair and eyes seemed to pulsing with electricity, bright and neon as they were. He was no longer a fish person, but appeared to be an alien of some other kind. The way he carried himself suggested this was his true form, not the ones that they had seen before.

He strode up to Sailor Leviathan, who looked as though she was seeing a ghost. She wasn't happy at all in this revelation.

"Enoch, you're one of them," Leviathan asked, feeling nearly betrayed. "Did you know? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm sorry," he said, looking downtrodden for but a moment. "I was... scared. I knew it for a long time but I thought if I admitted that I was different, that would mean I would have to leave. But now I know I don't have to leave. I'll always be here, Leviathan. We'll always be here. You're not alone! I've pledged my life to you like every one else on Planet Leviathan. That doesn't change just because I got a new set of shoes... and armor... and everything. Wait. Where are my gills? WHAT IS THIS? IS THIS BREATHING?"

Enoch began to pat the sides of his neck in terror as he suddenly came to realize that a vital part of his body was gone. Leviathan soon calmed him down, however, and Enoch resumed his speech.

"I'll lend my power like how the sailor soldiers did in your Sailor Moon manga volumes. With it, you can destroy this thing and prevent whatever that eel was trying to do to our planet!"

"Our planet," Leviathan said with a calm smile. "Yeah."

Holding onto Enoch's hand, she grinned at her friend as the two began to glow in a mix of yellow and green light. She held out her free one toward the Chaos Seed. She unleashed the true form of Leviathan's Wrath. The stream of water once again took the form of a dragon, but it was more bestial, more surreal. One could be forgiven for thinking that it was an actual dragon coming to life in the water. It opened its wide jaws and chomped the seed, busting it apart in the pressure of the water attack.

It cracked and let out a sound like a woman screaming. It collapsed inside of itself like a black hole and exploded into ash that floated about the water.

"W-we did it! We saved the planet!" Leviathan exclaimed as she fell over in surprise. She let out a grateful laugh as the sudden joy overcame her. Enoch remained frozen in happy shock. He waddled around in a circle like a penguin.

Chaos Seed Group

Sailor Nocturnus

So much happened, and so quickly! She attacked the eel, but it wasn't going to be enough...and then it was. Something else contributed, but right now she wasn't sure what it was.

The most important part was that the Chaos Seed had been defeated. Leviathan's friend revealed powers as well, lending the sailor soldier of this planet a much-needed boost of energy. It was a heart-warming and inspiring thing to watch.

Sailor Nocturnus's mind immediately snapped back to Ribbon. Unencumbered by the pressure thanks to the old woman's pill, she hurried back towards the other girl. She didn't even notice Enyalius's strange posture, so concerned about what might have happened to the one she had assigned herself to protect.

"Ribbon? Are you okay?" she called.

They weren't finished yet.

"We have to help the other group!"

It was an amazing thing to watch as Leviathan and her friend worked together to defeat the seed. When it was finally gone, suddenly, everything was calm.

Too calm?

Nix looked around, realizing something had been missing for a while. They’d talked back and forth for a long time, but now there was only absence in her mind.

“This certainly is cause for celebration. I hate to be the one put a damper in things, but… The link is down… does this mean something happened to Oberon…?” she asked worriedly, wondering what had happened to the other group, whom they had not heard from in a while. Hopefully their silence did not mean everyone was…

No, that was not possible.

Ribbon smiled, feeling great to have received a thumbs-up from Leviathan, and could do nothing but watch as she and Enoch - who had transformed - destroyed the Chaos Seed. They had won? ... They had won! She knew they would win!! Well, she hoped they would win but now they had won so she could say she knew they would!! She wanted to cheer Leviathan on, but it still hurt to breathe, let alone try anything else, so she just smiled.

As Nocturnus rushed over to her, Ribbon looked at her with the same smile, "We did it!" she managed, "I'm fine, but I can't... move," she looked apologetically up at her friend, and then listened to Sailor Nix, wanting to nod her head. She had noticed that the link was down earlier and hoped that didn't mean what her heat automatically thought it meant.

Even though the seed was now defeated, the pressure still remained.  Achelois debated taking the pill but decided to hold off and see since it was still manageable for her to move.  She took stock of the others, everyone seemed to be okay, except... Enya was just sitting there?  As Achelois moved over to Enya, she listened as Nix talked about the other group's possible situation.  As she reached her companion, she moved to rest a hand on her shoulder.  "Whatever happened, we should head over as quickly as we can."  She may need all of her strength depending on how bad things had gotten with the dragons.  Achelois felt her amulet and focused on her planet's energy asking for everything it could giver her.

OOC:

She had failed. Somehow she had failed to forsee the Clam having a trap and now she was bound, leaving Callisto alone to protect the dragons. Was this her fault? Had she rushed into this? All she could do right now was pray that the other group with the seed could defeat it quickly and find them. 

Maybe she wasn't meant to be a senshi. Maybe those in her mothers kingdom had been right, she was nothing but a fake, a mockery. If she could hang her head in shame at this moment, she would, but bound as she was, she was unable to move. Every sound of pain and fear coming from the dragons felt like needles piercing her heart. This was her fault, she was a failure. 

Doubt and loss of faith in her abilities heavy in her heart, her senshi fuku began to flicker around her, threatening the loss of her transformation.

Achelois gets all the MP

The seed had been destroyed, and Leviathan had gained an ally in the process; she could form her own Sailor Team, and continue to live on her planet. Enyalius was... it wasn't destroyed yet, she felt she would know when it happened. She could barely breathe, her heart felt like it was made of molten lead, burning her chest from the inside out. Had there been a guardian there, too? They would have sent troops in to defeat the seed, or attempt to; how many lives had been lost?


Hers were a brave people, if misguided. But... visions of The Collector's museum came back to her, the Enyalius Captain he had brought back to life, their fight, images of battlefields on her planet... it would not be forgotten.

'[...]does this mean something happened to Oberon?'
'Whatever happened, we should head over as quickly as we can.'


There was still work to be done, battles to be fought. She put a hand over Achelois as she pulled herself to her feet, every inch of her aching, and turned to the larger passage out of the coliseum. "Let's go then," she said simply, before jumping up and swimming as fast as she could through passageways out of the mountain, every kick of her legs attempting to propel her father from thoughts of her home.
