| Welcome to Less is More! Hosted by Addelyn and Anait Zelleire! We hereby challenge you, the members of GC, to a writing challenge! How well can you tell with so little? The object of the game is to tell a story, as best as you can, within a word limit. Each week the world limit will become smaller. Starting at 100 words, then 75 words, 50 words and finally in the last week 25 words. Each week we will present you with a different theme for your story, one that will challenge and inspire you! If you should happen to win our challenge that week, you shall be presented with a glorious bumper, lovingly crafted by the amazing, all mighty mistress of graphics Sailor Mercury herself. The Rules of the Challenge, should you chose to accept are as follows:  Word counts cannot go above that weeks maximum. One word over and your story is disqualified. Your story can be less than the maximum, as long as it makes sense. Once your story has been submitted, you cannot edit it. I highly suggested writing in a word document of your choice until you are satisfied with your entry. HAVE FUN! This is about challenging yourself and being creative above all else. You can enter the challenge at any time, just post all of your challenges up until the week you are entering in in one post and grab your bumper if your entries are under the word limit! The Challenges Week One: You have 100 words this week! That means your entry needs to be 100 words or less. Your theme this week is: Elves Week Two: You made it past your first challenge! Now it's getting trickier. You have 75 words to craft your story, with the theme of Cherry Blossoms
Week Three: Well wasn't that fun! Getting harder, 50 words is still quite a bit of wiggle room, can you do it? Your theme is: Thievery
Week Four: The hardest week is upon us! 25 words are all you have to craft a story about Elegance

| Everyone seemed to be in a good mood and why shouldn't they be? Christmas was beginning soon! They were busy finishing their toys and presents for Santa to bring to all the good boys and girls. Kittybell loved the Holidays! It was part of her elf blood she guessed, but there was more to it than that. Everyone was happy and giving, it was amazing! Plus she loved shopping for presents for her friends, Snowflake and Singsong! She couldn't wait to give them their gifts this year! Kitty smiled to herself and got back to working on her gifts. - OOC:
Hope this is okay and the right way to do this! Also, cookies to anyone who remembers these characters =P

| Here's mine. No one notices the elves. It’s all about the big man. We build the toys, we wind the winders and spring the sprockets. No one thinks of the elves when little hands open shiny presents screaming in glee. It’s a thankless job, long hours, backbreaking labor, and nothing but our songs to move the day along. But you know what? I love it. We’re the unsung heroes that make Christmas happen and I love every single damn minute of it. Rock on my fellow diminutive pointy eared friends….rock on. |

| Elves..what are elves? Who are elves? Elves are small, Elves are tall. Male Elves, Female Elves, young Elves and old Elves. Wise ones and smart ones. Elves are Santa’s best friends, Elves make the toys for the good girls and boys. Elves are sweet and they are kind. Elves run the business and the run the shop. They work all day and they work all night. They always try to get it right. If it weren’t for Elves, Santa’s shop would be a mess. So when you send Santa your letter, don’t forget the Elves. |

| Looking at the chaotic pile of metal, plastic, and wood, the young elf shook his head in disappointment as he closed his eyes in order to avoid the horrible sight in front of him. A plastic playset for kids is what it was supposed to be. A playset, he recalled. A simple playset. If he did that on purpose?Immediately he shook his head. No. Why should he, after all? Why would he give himself additional work? No, that wasn’t on purpose. This was simply…a lack of craftsmanship. “...And this is why you should leave it to us elves, Santa.” - Spoiler:
 It may look as if I missed the point...but if you read between the lines...super carefully...you'll see that there's a suuuuuuuuper deep moral about elves in the story xD *cough* appreciate elves and their work, they're important *cough* super deep I know

| He walked through the burned remains, the smoke still smoldering in the foundations. He pulled his scarf higher over his face, protecting it both from the icy wind and the hot smoke. He had been walking as though in a trance, until his foot bumped a half burned teddy bear on the ground. The small elf collapsed in the soot and snow, cradling the bear in his arms. The elves had thought their technology would help people, save children, bring joy to the world. Instead this destruction had changed the world forever. |

| The smoke towers were billowing, and there was a faint scent of peppermint in the air. Elves were bustling to get ready for the big day. There had been an influx of demand on electronics this year, as well as teddy bears. One small elf decided that today would be the day to experiment a little. He locked himself in his office, leaving the others to wonder. One of them was about to get the big guy, when he popped out, his invention in hand. A teddy tablet, a tablet that was entirely plush. The kids were gonna love this! |

| They had been to many houses that night, but this one was particularly quiet. Only one occupant was sleeping soundly. Lights on a modest Christmas tree twinkled silently.
“I think we can give her something special,” one of the elves declared. She went into the kitchen followed by her friends. They whispered conspiratorially as they worked all night, preparing their special gift.
When Makoto woke up the next morning, there was a Christmas pudding on her dining table. She stopped short; her heart clenched.
Her eyes turned glassy. It was just like the way her mother used to make it.

“I hate my hair. The kids at school tease me about it because it’s pink and not brown or blonde.” She sniffled, clutching Luna P tighter.
“My maiden does not have ugly hair. She has hair the color of cherry blossoms.” |

| Cherry blossoms what was so special about them she didn’t know, but what she did know was that her boyfriend loved to walk in the park when they where in bloom, so if it made him happy it made her happy and she guessed that was all that mattered. She could see said boyfriend up ahead already buying drinks. She still didn’t see what was so special about the cherry blossoms, but she was happy.
