Ami and Makoto were hanging out together getting ready for a picnic with the rest of the girls. They strolled into a park, not just any ordinary one, but one with multiple cherry blossom trees. The two girls liked the trees and the blossoms that fell and decided that under one would be the best for lunch. The girls laid out the blanket and the plates and food and waited for the others to arrive.

The day had come. The day to test my invention. It was an invention of lightning speed. It would allow me to cross the entirety of the United States in 2 hours. This invention, my life's work, it came to me in a dream, elves running gracefully, their agility unhuman. I call it E.L.F.S. (yes i know that is improper grammar, but bare with me), the Electrosuit of Light Fast Speed. I put the mechanical head band that covered my ears and gave me the likeness of my inspiration. It was time.

Did you know that most cherry trees are planted around important buildings like schools? This makes it less likely that the trees would be cut down. If someone were to bury something under one of these trees, chances are that it would go unnoticed. This is where she found it while trying to bury an old sketchbook. A child’s letter to Santa dated from the nineteen fifties. Does Santa know to check under these trees?

That day when Usagi left to face Nehelenia on her own, Rei had tried to stop her.

All she got was a fistful of cherry blossoms.

Rei would never forget how it felt.

Months later, she died in Usagi’s arms, and when Usagi reached for her, she only got a fistful of lights.

It’d take Rei a long time to forgive herself for letting Usagi feel what she felt that day with the cherry blossoms.

I didn't have an idea for this originally, but then that scene from Stars popped into my mind and I thought it was perfect.

Wow, I was floored by that one. Amazing that you made that connection.

You guys stop it with the feels or I just night cry. LOL

They had flowers that resembled this where they come from. It wouldn't be there anymore, or their memories would be left in a pile of ashes, but those small petals bring familiar feelings unto his chest and a rather annoying lump in his throat. Those were larger, of course, their curves not as round, but he took some in his hand and kept walking. Kinmoku was gone but not its heart.

Meh, headache doesn't help the writing but I missed the last one so.

Breathe in. Breathe out. They listened to her, the fearsome warrior with flowers in her hair and ribbons on her chest. And Sailor Ceres listened back with a smile on her lips. She held out her arms, embracing the sun like her floral soldiers. And with a melody as gentle as a song and powerful as a battle cry, the sky turned pink with the petals of cherry blossoms.

You’d gone over to your boyfriend dorm the day before and ended up staying the night because it got late, you woke up to one of his members stealing your clothes.

Looking at the pathetic young man that just fell to the cold dirty ground, the old hag began to smile, eventually bursting into laughter as she saw the indentation on his face that appeared just after she hit him with her purse.

“This is what you get from stealing, deary.”

It's him... it's always him.... he knows about the past, doesn't he?

"What do you know, Endymion?" I ask, for he could be helpful, but he also could be Serenity's killer again. 

"I have no memory." he answers, and before I can catch him, he's disappeared.

Thievery...the act of stealing... for me it's not an act, its a work of art and something I excel in. Who am I?  Well, thats on a need-to-know basis and well you don't ...just as long as those pesky Sailor Brats and their cat don't get in my way.

Here's my 50 word one! I'll probably get around to the others soon

Stealing a few kisses, stealing a glance. It's a hot blooded Christmas with the thief who stole my heart. Tall with dark eyes and darker hair. When he gets close to me... when I can feel his breath on my cheek, I close my eyes and then - swoon, swoon, swoon.

I have wanted to try my hand at this ever since I read most of the first category's entries.  Now I consider myself to have been successful enough to submit my entries in two of the three categories so far.

Cherry Blossoms - 75 words (which I hit right on the nose   )

A father wasn't supposed to outlive his daughter. Especially this father and this daughter. For months after it had happened, he had been a complete wreck, unable to do anything for even himself.


Finally, on the anniversary of her death, he was able to gather many petals of her favorite flower and head to her grave. With a heavy heart, he dropped the hundreds of sakura above where his pink-haired daughter lay, then collapsed himself.

Thievery - 50 words

They kneeled on the floor of the church facing each other and prayed for success. Then the master thief headed out into the young night, about to attempt her biggest test yet.


Seira watched her head away and smiled. Seira knew her friend would succeed again, as always.
