The sailor senshi and Tuxedo Mask are in pursuit of a Droid created by Koan, who is chasing around Chibiusa. Chibiusa hides herself just as the senshi catch up, and a battle between them and the monster Magnes begins in the middle of a street. After the monster finds Chibiusa, it fires a blast of energy at her. The other senshi are closer than Usagi is, and they jump in front of the blast to protect Chibiusa.At the same time, Chibiusa's crescent moon mark reacts to her fear and gives off another burst of power. The two forces collide and create a magical explosion. The senshi are knocked down, but seem to be okay after a few moments. The Droid and Koan retreat for another day, and the senshi decide to just go home and prepare for another encounter. 


The next morning, everything is less than okay, as Ami, Makoto, Rei, and Minako seem to have undergone drastic personality shifts, which is noticeable to everyone they interact with. Ami's new attitude causes a few issues at school, and Makoto's sudden demureness turns heads as well. Usagi catchs onto their behavior and starts questioning it after school ends. Meanwhile, Rei is much more friendly with Yuuchiro, much to his deep confusion and delight. She acts less aloof at school and more like a bubbly teenager, and gets into minor trouble.
