| I was wondering if anyone watches gamers like Jontron, Gamegrumps, Peanutbutter Gamer, ect?

Sometimes the Nerd's humor can be a bit unfunny.
I used to love the Game Grumps, but their humor sometimes gets a bit gross. They like to talk about guy things which make sense seeing how their audience is mostly male. But still. >.> Also they have become repetitive. A lot times it's just them wondering around the game not knowing what to do. I will admit it is funny to watch people struggle in a game, but not when a game TELLS you what to do. They mess out on important info with their lacking.
I like it when the gamer is funny and actually playing the game. It's fun to watch people play horrible made games, but at least put some effort into playing it. |

| My favorites are Totalbiscuit Projared Brutalmoose Game Grumps* Peanutbutter Gamer PressHeartToContinue Jontron Sw1tcher (Two Best Friends Play) I also like Rachel and Jun's new gaming channel. I'm a fan of their main one and Rachel is playing Legend of Dragoon right now, which I grew up with and am fond of. It's a good start, and Rachel has constantly been trying to improve the quality of her streams, which makes me think her channel might go far. * - Spoiler:
Regarding Game Grumps, they're one of my favorites but I don't actually watch them right now.
I started watching the day it started. It was the most exciting thing ever, my two favorite Youtubers teaming up. Absolutely magical time. With the Jon era, my main complaint was that Jon relied too heavily on making noises and that Arin and Jon would get into these awkward miniature arguments about games, haha. But it was still fantastic.
I was pretty bummed when Jon left, and stopped watching for a few weeks, but went back to it and grew to love Danny. (It's hard not to love him with the NSP albums working as an introduction!)
I love Ross too. Anyway, this set up was awesome for a while, and I adore Steam Train's Sierra game playthroughs, but Game Grumps has started to feel extremely "samey". They tell stories so less often, rarely improvise, the burping is getting on my nerves, the fanbase for the most part is frighteningly mean spirited, and I'm just not interested anymore. A nit pick is the click bait icons/video titles they're adopting... though I think it might hint at another quality drop.
I'm sure I'll get back into it once they play some more games that I'm interested in. I can only take so many low budget game show games.

I agree with you about Game Grumps. I only watch them in small doses now. I was okay when Jon left, but I wish they handled it better. I think a lot people were more angry about Jon leaving so suddenly and bam here comes this new guy! Dan is really funny and he seems like a cool guy. Though I do wonder how long these people will last. At least the super popular ones. I tend to like shows where the gamer is actually playing the game and just talking about their life. I don't know it feels like I'm hanging out with them. Also I love review shows where the reviewer is honest with their opinion and not selling out. Thats's why I like Kwing and The Completionist. |
