Princess D and Umino are very similar looking, what with the glasses and short stature, but I don't really think that they are actually siblings. It's more likely, at least in my opinion, that the moment where Princess D is revealed to be quite beautiful without her glasses on was used as a surprising twist that could be turned into a comical moment immediately after when the girls hesitantly wonder if Umino is actually handsome behind those swirly glasses. (Umino never did take his glasses off, at least in the manga, so maybe he really is stunningly handsome behind those glasses, who knows xD) Overall, I thought it was a funny moment, but I don't think the relationship between Princess D and Umino goes any further than their similar appearances.

I agree with Gallifrey. This is a common trope in Japanese media done for comic relief and is likely the reason their glasses are drawn similarly.

Yeah plus if you are talking about the anime then don't forget that Sailor V also had Amano Gurikazu  who again looked the exact same as Umino, or if you are talking about the anime then you have Mercurious from Ami's First Love short who looked similar...


Still just 4 is better than all the characters who look like Motoki and Mamoru in the anime/manga...

Whether or not it is true, I love imagining that Umino has an 'army' of brothers and sisters scattered to the far reaches of the globe.

Oh this is a great theory! While I agree and am fully aware the the coke bottle glasses is a trope for laughs, it would be fantastic if Umino was the long lost son of some royalty-or even a illegitimate child that still has royal blood through his veins and therfor would still have part of the fortune if something were to happen to his real father. (I've been watching too much game of thrones lol)

Wouldn't THAT be one hell of an AU lol.

Umino hasn't got an important role in the anime and in the manga he briefly appears in act 1 , 2 , 3 and 12(Correct me if I'm wrong)

I don't think so. It's just that they have similar glasses.
