Create a Game - maybe word game or guess the phrase meaning??



OH AND IDEA! So we had made bumpers to collect for going to each Country and/or State and I was thinking we could make a little passport thing members could place their bumpers on?  Or maybe we give out stamps instead and try to fill up your stamp/passport book?


Also, any special requests for the food thread? Like Louisiana recipes youd like to try?? Something along those lines.

I was planning on giving out Brazilian recipes (last year, I made a topic with all the tradicional food, this year I was thinking about teaching how to make some of these.)

I also taught some words in Portuguese, but I was thinking of recording videos explaining the pronunciation.

I really like these ideas so far! And Brit! I think that stamp book passport thing is adorable! Maybe we can get BUbbles to design something for a cover and then each world fair thread would get a piece of paper looking thing with a stamp saying 'I visited such and such' and then the members can have those to put in their galleria and such?

Hmmm... I'm going with a recipe thread, a holiday thread, a history one (most familiar with 1949-now, but I can do it for all of China if you want me to), and something that's kind of random and might be an awful idea (China's pairs figure skating dynasty, which is really weird, sorry...)

I think something on China's figuare skaters would be neat. Since the point of this is to educate everyone about something in their country, it definitely fits. ^_^

Okayyyyy, so even though Princess Luna and I still need to talk about the final structure of the German section, this is what I had in mind:

Welcome thread - that introducing welcome post to start everything xD
Culture - includes the topics: Music, food, sports, German TV, things that are special for Germany (for example: cars or laws that differ from other countries xD), etc.
History - a small overview for the German history
Cities & Sights - Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne and its respective sights
Clichés - I'll give the most popular clichés about Germans and Princess Luna and I will say what we think about these clichés - you know, if we agree or disagree and why xD
School system - Yeah, this is something I just wanted to talk about since many people on GC go to school/college/university and I thought it could be interesting xD

I'm not sure what exactly I want to do. 

I think I'll give a brief history of the state, some information about some of the foods that are only in this state, some information about Lancaster and the amish. I also plan on talking about the theatres and the arts that are centered in Philadelphia and Lancaster. I want to also talk about some slang and things that are only said in PA as well as some funny quirks we have in our sentence structures. 

I'm thinking of a fun crossword about the state, it's history and other fun information.

This took me awhile but I think I am done.  I will have to look over all the topics once again to see if everything is alright but overall they're ready ^^

I want someone to look over my threads, since I'm worried that they'll suck or that they're too random or that I bit off way too much that I could chew and should've just done America because I actually live there...

I think its a good start! If you feel its too much you could always get rid of one or combine it with another but honestly I think they are all good topics to cover. I would also suggest making the thread titled "China - Pairs" more descirptive. I had no idea that it would be about figure skating just from reading the title and not having context from you mentioning figure skating before. ^^

Okay I started on my threads please don't let me forget to finish them. T_T

I need some advice from one (or more) of you - can I bother PM anyone? xD
