Storyline Name: You Suit Me To A Tea

Plot Summary: Invited to a mansion, well known for its rich caretaker who loves his warm beverages and expensive tastes, our heroes enter upon the lavish building only to find out that the whole thing was a setup by a cunning monster who giggles at the predicament before disappearing! Now trapped within the building, our heroes must find a way out of the mansion!

A task which only gets even more difficult, as they notice a dark liquid beginning to rise from their feet. The entire mansion is slowly beginning to flood with tea!
Details on any necessary information:Your setting is in a mansion! Feel free to take the plot in any direction you wish, twisting and adding to it as you see fit, and you can decide if your characters have been working together up to this point, or have only just run into each other (or any other variation), but your main goal is find a way to stop the rising tea and to escape the mansion! How you accomplish that goal is up to you guys! Have fun!! <3

Her first visit to Earth was... interesting. SAM-BrR3-NE005 had landed in Crystal Tokyo as planned, the crystal structures immediately drawing her attention as she was brought to the palace. It gave the whole city a clean and high tech feel, reminding her of home for the first time. The entire thing was kind of ruined when she remembered that no one used protective suits here, but she hadn't expected much in the first place. 

SAM's diplomatic visit apparently came with an escort in the form of a knight named "Shadow", and whenever she left Neo-Queen Serenity's personal grounds, he was meant to come with her. She wasn't offended by it, but was instead relieved that someone would know how everything was meant to work in this strange place. Even with her own protective armor still on, giving her a few strange looks from the native Earth people who passed them on the streets, she still felt a little paranoid. In her mind, anything and everything could be dangerous on Earth.

Today, they had been invited to someone's living area for some form of beverage, and though she had been wary, SAM had decided she was going to try to attend it. Ignoring an invite was considered rude here. As if to mock her attempts at meeting this new challenge in the middle, it turned out the mansion had been a trap, and now the house was slowly filling with what she assumed was "tea". 

Predictably, SAM panicked. 


"I knew this was a bad idea!" she said, her voice taking on a strange tone when it was filtered through her helmet. She was already scrambling to stand on top of her chair, trying to avoid stepping in tea. For all she knew, it could be poisonous.

Being assigned as a chaperone to an emissary of Chalybs wasn't the worst assignment that was entrusted to Shadow. For the most part, SAM was attentive and polite, though had the tendency to draw strange looks and other attention due to her insistence on remaining in her customary suit.

At least, no one (thus far) had mistaken either of them for an easy mark. A recurring joke amongst Crystal Tokyo citizens was that Neo Queen Serenity had banished the darkness from the city, prompting one bogeyman to lodge a formal complaint in her court. As an act of mercy, Serenity changed the monster into a human so that he would still have a place in her world.

Now, the alleged nightcrawler and his diplomatic guest/tank-in-high-heels were facing one of the strangest scenarios in recent memory. Both Shadow and SAM were invited to partake of tea in a well furnished mansion, whose doors were now locked so that an unknown agent could flood the residence with tea.

Shadow sighed, then stood up and glanced around the pair. No need to worry about getting his feet wet; it was already happening. Getting the armored senshi to safety was far more important, especially as she could pose a tempting target to the enemies of Chalybs. While SAM and Shadow were barely acquainted, she would have no difficulty discerning the anger simmering beneath his calm, polished veneer.

"Let's head to the second floor, Sam. We'll have time to find a window if we can't stop the tea from flooding this residence."

SAM had gotten onto the table entirely by the time Shadow came up with an idea.

"The...second floor? Oh, you're right, that makes sense..." SAM sounded embarrassed as she realized that Shadow wasn't even panicking. She'd follow his lead then. With a surprising amount of dexterity for someone covered in armor, she crossed the long dining room table without knocking the silverware or fine china off it, and then hopped down onto another chair near the dining room's exit. It creaked in protest under her boots, but didn't collapse.

"Uh, the stairs are over here, right?" She had no idea how this overly decorated house was constructed.

"That's correct," Shadow replied as he paced around briefly on the tea-covered floor. Where was the fluid coming from, anyway? If there was a basement, it would likely have been submerged by now. Shadow also was unable to spot any obvious apertures or other magical disturbances, and the pair only had so many minutes to stop the "leak" before they would have to focus on making their escape.

The tea continued its slow ascension, now deep enough to creep into the fabric of Shadow's shoes over the sole. At that point, he realized that SAM had been correct to stay near the dining room table.

"Ow! Damnit! Hot! Argh!" Shadow yelled in spite of his normally stoic exterior, making a hobbled dash up onto his chair and to the table ahead. Each step in the heated liquid produced an equally heated invective, none specifically meant for his companion but still harsh on the ears nonetheless. Once he caught up to SAM, he took a deep breath to reassume the calm composure that he had been maintaining only moments ago.

"Sorry about that, Sam; this isn't typical Earth behavior. Your suit should keep you safe from brief exposure, at the very least."

SAM flinched at Shadow's exclamations, but less because of his wording and more in sympathy of his situation. She had clearly been right to assume the liquid was dangerous, and now he was injured.


"A-are you okay?" she asked. Her visor lit up as she took a cursory scan of his form, checking for burns. "How are you going to get down the hallway?" She may be able to trudge through if needed, but he couldn't just keep hurting himself all the way to the staircase. "I...uh...I can help you if you need it." SAM could probably carry Shadow without much strain, but it was the thought of getting that close to someone for an extended period of time that made her nervous.

"It won't be necessary," Shadow breathed through his teeth as he stood on the table after his unexpected case of hot foot. SAM's surface scan of his body indicated superficial burns on his feet, along with dilated blood vessels. To the visiting senshi's relief, the greatest injury Shadow received from such brief contact with the scalding liquid was to his pride.

The tea appeared to be rising near them, though, so it was time to get away. But the room they were standing in was brightly lit, so his ability to teleport wouldn't have worked that well. Not unless the lights were turned off..

Shadow then raised his arms, clapping his hands onto the shoulders of SAM's suit. His expression suddenly flashed from annoyance to jubilant inspiration, and he couldn't help but try to share his enthusiasm with his companion, even if they were only vaguely acquainted. 

"I've got an idea! Sam, do you have any low-impact weapons or magic?"

SAM's visor turned off, and she jumped a little at the physical contact, but she tried to keep up with Shadow's planning.

"I..I can set my Star Cannon to a lower intensity..." she offered. One of her arms reconfigured itself into a circular gun barrel, pulsing faintly with energy.  What did he even intend to do? "I'm not sure where you're going with this."

Huh.. she was startled by that? Strange.

Letting go of SAM, Shadow pointed briefly to the electrical lights in the wide room. Though no one particular bulb was considered bright, their arrangement provided a comprehensive coverage that flooded the dining room with soft illumination that kept the darkness at bay.

"I need you to shatter those lights. I will be of greater help to you when I have 'shadows' to work with, so to speak."

SAM inspected the lights he was referring to, and then nodded. 

"I think I can do that." She brought her Star Cannon up, took aim, and fired a weak, steady beam that she moved to slice through each of the lights. The ceiling was charred by the plasma based laser, and the bulbs shattered on impact, causing bits of glass turned to dust to fall to the carpet. Soon, the whole dining room was dark save for the glowing lines and center area of SAM's armor. Her cannon powered down, though her hand stayed in its weapon form.

"Are there enough shadows now?" she asked, turning her head to him.

Shadow briefly nodded to SAM, his eyes lingering on her suit for a moment before wandering to the chairs and tables that formed the dining room. He would assume some limited amount of financial responsibility for the following actions, yet they were absolutely necessary. As a senshi representative to Earth, it was necessary for her hosts to take the appropriate actions to ensure her safety.

Reaching his arms out towards the darkened dining room, Shadow appeared to seize unused chairs and tables with seemingly little more than his own thoughts. The exquisitely carved works of wooden furniture were set in a line before SAM and her escort, providing a raised path for their feet over the rising tea.

"I can form a bridge to the stairwell this way."

SAM watched Shadow in curious silence, trying to figure out how his abilities worked as he manipulated objects in the darkened room. Even after leaving her planet and exploring various others, she never quite got used to the innate magic that senshi and similar warriors had. Crystal Tokyo itself was like a gathering place for them, and it felt like every day she witnessed something strange and new. She barely understood her own inherent powers, having grown up in a culture that used machines and bio-sciences to solve their issues.


"Wow..." The word slipped out of her mouth as Shadow finished creating a path. Even with her visor, she could only tell that he was using some form of energy, but not what kind it was or how it worked. "That's, uh... that's really impressive." SAM caught herself and looked away from Shadow before she went any further. "Sorry, I'm guessing this isn't really the time for questions..." She hopped off the table onto the first chair, beginning to move out of the room.
