Advanced Character Profile

[Multiverse][Advanced] Sakura Kinomoto Y2UdHEp_zps3w6fypto

Character Name: Sakura Kinomoto
Gender: Female
Age: 10-14, April 1st
Universe: Card Captor Sakura
Canon or Original: Canon: anime and manga

Appearance:
In the anime, Sakura has short, honey brown hair, fair skin, and emerald green eyes. In certain manga sketches and officall artwork, this sometimes changes. In addition to her anime hair and eyes, her hair is sometimes colored auburn, her eyes are sometimes colored grey or blue, and her skin is sometimes snow white. As a child, she is naturally short in height, but slowly grows as the years pass by.

Sakura's outfits change frequently throughout the series. Her most commonly worn outfit is her school uniform, which changes depending on the season. Her winter school uniform is a black long sleeved shirt with red and white sleevecuffs, a white neckerchief with a red stripe, and a white pleated miniskirt. On particularly cold days, she wears a thick black coat with her schools insignia on the back. Her summer uniform is a white half-sleeved shirt with a red neckerchief and a black pleated miniskirt. All year round, black shoes are worn along with a white sailor hat with a black trim.

When not at school, she likes to wear comfortable clothing, turtlenecks, shorts, pants. If she wishes to dress up a bit, she'll wear flowy summer dresses and skirts. While comfortable, her clothes tend to be more on a cute side. As she is also athletic, being a cheerleader in her school, she also likes to wear clothes for running and track, consisting of a t-shirt and shorts.

Personality:
Sakura is an extremely energetic, cute, beautiful, sweet, cheerful and very kind character. She is very athletic, being a member of her school's cheerleading squad and an excellent runner, a trait she inherited from her father. Her "invincible spell", "Everything will surely be alright, has carried her through innumerable trials and obstacles as she masters her magical skills. Her catchphrase is "Hoe!" (usually stretched), which is used whenever she is shocked or scared even the slightest. She also frequently shouts "KERO, NO!!!", when scolding Kero.

She often comes across as naïve, clumsy, dense and clueless, but she has her perceptive moments on occasion. Her favorite foods are omelet and noodles with seafood and her favorite recipe is pancakes. Her birthday is on April the first. She hates Mathematics, loves Gym and Music, and her blood type is A.

Sakura's optimistic and trustworthy character allows her to be friendly with everybody, she is very outgoing and the entire series focuses on the friendships she creates with people, whether strangers, loose acquaintances, or rivals. In fact, her personality is a dominating factor in her relationships, especially with Syaoran Li. Though sometimes she's quite gullible and believes what everyone tells her. Her charm can win over anyone (as shown with Syaoran in the series) and she's very scared of ghosts.

She became scared of ghosts because her brother, who could see spirits, would usually point them out. Though she couldn't see them, the descriptions of having 'one eye' or 'missing a hand' would frighten her. Therefore she felt a deep fear of ghosts from a young age. Ironically, she has no fear of Clow Cards. This is apparent when Sakura finds out that the ghost in the park is actually a Clow Card and was no longer scared by it. She is known to be clueless about things relating to herself but perceptive of others. Though when she finds out information about her friends she usually keeps quiet about it.

Despite her sweet nature, cuteness and beauty, Sakura has been shown to have a very vicious temper. This is often seen when Toya insults her by calling her a monster and once when she and Kero got into a fight.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:

Star Card Mistress - As Sakura gained all the Clow Cards and became their mistress, turning them into her Star Cards, she has become very powerful, her power only increasing with her age and increased experience. While she is transforming the Clow Cards into Star Cards, she would often get tired after transforming more than one at a time. This was due to her inexperience. As she changes more, she becomes more powerful. This is shown during Eriol’s final trial where she is able transform the remaining eight cards at once. Her power is never directly defined as what is can do in cannon, but it does relate to her ability to command the cards, the magic she uses when she summons them, and keep both her guardians physical forms in the present without feeling tired after only doing a few short spells. It is speculated that she can do other magics.

Prophetic Dreams – She is able to see future events through her dreams, including the Final Judgement and meetings of various characters throughout the series. She has also dreamed about the past including the day Clow died. At the end of the manga, it was hinted that she is able to see into the future if she so desires.

Magical Items

Clow Cards/ Star Cards - Magical cards that Sakura uses as her weapon. Each card has a different power. For example, The Windy is a wind spirit, and the Sword will turn her staff into a sword. There are 52 cards in the deck in the anime. Half of those cards are under Yue’s jurisdiction, the other half are under Ceroberous’s jurisdiction and will answer to Sakura’s guardians if she is not available. While they are clow cards, each card is red with a gold banner around it. On the back, there is a circle with geometric designs and a stylized sun and moon in it. When they become Sakura Cards they become pink with a yellow Star and a smaller sun on the right and moon on the left. This symbol appears when Sakura is summoning her staff.

Sealing Wand – the first staff that Sakura used to captor the Clow Cards. In order to release it, she would chant “Key Of Clow! Power Of Magic, Power Of Light, Surrender The Wand. The force Ignite! Release!” The staff itself is pink and about a meter in length. The head of the staff is shaped like a bird’s head with red gems for eyes and a beak and tiny wings on the back of the head. It allows people with magical abilities to Seal escaped cards and transform them from Clow cards into Star Cards. The staff originally belonged to Clow Reed who was a powerful magician. He had put the staff into the Clow Book and made it into that specific form because he had forseen Sakura becoming the new Mistress of the Cards. In its dormant form it, it looks like a miniature form of the staff but the end looks like a key. Sakura wears it around her neck.

Star Wand- In dormant form, it looks like a miniature version of itself, with the end looking like a key. Sakura wears it around her neck. In order to release it, she chants “Key of the star, with powers burning bright reveal the staff and shine your light, Release!”.  When Sakura became the mistress of the cards, her staff changed to reflect her personality and powers. The head of the staff is now a yellow pointed star inside of a circle with a small-feathered wing on either side. This is due to the fact that her powers come from the stars. Connecting the head to the staff is a red jewel. This want is also a meter in length. When combined with her two guardians, Yue and Ceroberous, her staff transforms again, this time temporarily. It becomes three meters in length, and the circle around the stars disappears. The wings have grown in size, with a sun behind the star and a small crescent moon connecting the head to the red jewel on the top of the staff. The red jewel is surrounded by a star with a sun behind it.

Clow Book/Sakura Book – a book that houses the Clow Cards. Sakura found it in her father’s study in the basement and accidently released all of the cards. On the cover of the book, there is a yellow lion with wings named Cerberus. He has a red jewel on his head on an armoured head piece as well as a silver armoured chest piece with a red jewel on it. Around him are gold chains which connect to a sun on the front. A banner overtop of the lion says The Clow. When Sakura become mistress the book became pink. Ceroberus is no longer on the cover although the chains and sun remain. The book now says Sakura at the top with her star and wings below it, her personal symbol. Below the sun on the left side is a small round sun and to the right side is a crescent moon, symbolizing her two guardians. At the bottom of the book there is the top part of a pink circle with a multi-pointed star design. The back of the book contains the same symbol as the back of the cards.

History:

Ten-year-old fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto opens a mysterious book in her family's basement and accidentally releases the magical Clow Cards. By her ability to open the seal, Sakura is revealed to have special powers, and it becomes her responsibility to retrieve the missing cards.

The task involves finding each card, battling its magical personification, and sealing it away. She is assisted by Cerberus (Keroberos, also known as Kero-chan), the Beast of the Seal assigned to protect the cards, who was asleep when Sakura opened the Clow Book (He was on a "nap" at that time, which lasted 50 years). Kero, who is in his "borrowed" form, similar to a plush toy, throughout the majority of the series, guides Sakura as she develops her Cardcaptor powers. erberus acts as her guide and mentor throughout the quest, while classmate and best friend Tomoyo Daidouji (who is also her second cousin) assists in designing Sakura's battle costumes and filming her adventures.

Sakura also competes with Syaoran Li, the descendant of the Clow Cards' creator, Clow Reed, in capturing the Cards. The first half of the series ends after the Final Judgment, in which those who have attempted to capture the Clow Cards are tested by the mysterious Yue for the right to become Master of the Clow.

This arc in the anime series also brings in a second rival, Meiling Li, who is Syaoran's cousin and fiancee. Meiling aims to defeat Sakura, as Meiling thinks that Sakura was trying to steal Syaoran away from her.

Sakura and Syaoran capturing the Arrow Card, with Tomoyo videotaping the event and Kero and Meiling cheering for the two. Later that night, Sakura has a strange dream of being surrounded by water and of a strange woman. The next day, everyone receives their report cards, which all but Meiling got good grades. Syaoran is nervous of his grades because of his mother, but is relieved that he got decent grades to show her. Sakura and Tomoyo go shopping and visit Maki's shop, where Sakura plays a lotto and wins a trip to Hong Kong. Sakura invites Tomoyo to go with her, and wants her father to go too. However, because of his job, he is unable to and that leaves Toya, much to her dismay. But she is cheered up when Yukito decides to go as well.

Along with Kero, they fly to Hong Kong. Once there, Sakura feels a strange presence involving water. She is separated from her friends and hypnotized into nearly falling into water until Syaoran suddenly appears and snaps her out of it. Meanwhile, Tomoyo runs into Meiling, who explains that she and Syaoran have returned to Hong Kong for the spring break. She offers them to come back to the Li mansion so Sakura can change clothes after tripping in the water. There, they meet Syaoran's four older sisters and his mother, who takes an immediate interest in Sakura and invites them to sleep over, much to Syaoran's chagrin. Sakura is later warned by his mother that a powerful magical force is following Sakura.

Syaoran is forced by his mother to accompany Sakura and the others around the city. However, Sakura encounters a woman with the same magical presence she has been feeling and uses water as her weapon. One by one, the spirit captures Toya, Yukito, Tomoyo, and Meiling. Sakura and Syaoran team up to save their friends. While Syaoran fights the woman, Sakura frees Tomoyo. However Syaoran is defeated and captured, and he orders Sakura to run and save everyone. Coming back into the room Sakura tries and fails to find the book that transported them to the other dimension. Now back in the hotel room Kero tells Sakura and Tomoyo a tale of when Clow Reed met and feel in love with a fortune teller in Hong Kong. His magic had caused her to use the magic for evil and so Clow Reed trapped her in a magical prison, and with that she vowed revenge against him.

When trying to figure out how to go back to the woman to save their friends, Sakura remembers the well and realises that that's the place to go. Arriving at the well the three find out there is a barrier around the well house, when trying to figure out how to get in they hear footsteps coming toward them. Syaoran's mother shows up and splits the barrier for Sakura. Telling Tomoyo to stay, Sakura goes in to the well alone. While going through, Kero tells Sakura to think of where she wants to go. She thinks "I want to go to where my friends are", she arrives in a room. The birds from before are there and flies away. Sakura runs and arrives at a door. she opens the door to find water filled up to the top of the roof. Walking she swims to the top to once again confront the fortune teller.

The woman demands to know where Clow Reed is, and that she has been using her magic to summon him and only Sakura appeared. Sakura tells the spirit that Clow Reed has been dead for many years, which the spirit refuses to believe. The woman attacks Sakura and demands the truth, and sadly saying she has been waiting for him for a long time. Sakura realizes that the woman in fact loved Clow Reed after he gave her a hair flower pendent, and finally the woman believes that Clow Reed is dead. With that, the woman dissolves into water, leaving only the pendent she has cherished, which dissolves a minute after she's gone. Everyone is free of their prison and everything returns to normal.

Since Sakura has now become the new Master of the Clow Cards, since returning from Hong Kong, she must transform them under her own magic into Sakura Cards. At the same time, new strange disturbances are occurring in Tomoeda, which adds further pressure to Sakura's task. Meanwhile, Syaoran falls in love with Sakura and tries to find a way to admit his feelings to her. Eriol Hiiragizawa, uses various methods and his own two guardians to devise ways to force Sakura into turning the Clow Cards into Sakura cards. It is later revealed that Sakura’s father, was a reincarnation of half of Clow Reed soul and magic, while the other half was Eriol.

The movie begins with Eriol 's old house being demolished, which seemingly activates an unknown Clow Card buried beneath the mansion. Four months have passed since the ending of the TV series. Tomoyo and Sakura review videos showing Sakura in action, showcasing and capturing various cards. As the topic of Syaoran comes across, Sakura wishes to tell him in person that she loves him as well. Sakura is attending summer classes because her class is participating in a play for the Nadeshiko festival and looks at the nameless card she made in the final episode as proof of her love for Syaoran. Sakura is to play the princess and Yamizaki is to play the prince. Later that night, Sakura thinks of Syaoran as she reads the princess's confession. Meanwhile, the area where Eriol's mansion was has been turned into an amusement park, where the unknown Clow Card reveals to be a young girl hovering in the clock tower. The next day, Sakura goes with Tomoyo to visit Eriol's old house to find it has been replaced with a new amusement park. While they explore the park, Sakura feels a presence similar to that of a Clow Card. As she runs through the park trying to locate the source of the presence, she crashes into Syaoran, who has returned from Hong Kong with Meiling , for a visit to see the town's annual festival. Sakura is flustered as she still hasn't confessed her true feelings for Syaoran, despite his having done so before he left. Meiling tells Sakura that she and Syaoran canceled their engagement because he has someone he really likes. Syaoran is aware that the visit is part of Tomoyo and Meiling's plans to give Sakura an opportunity to reply to him. He tells Tomoyo that he wanted to see Sakura but is worried that his presence will burden her into giving him a reply. Tomoyo and Meiling set Sakura and Syaoran up alone for dinner. Sakura tries to confess, but is interrupted by Kero and Toya respectively. Unbeknowest to her, some of her cards begin to disappear.

Syaoran and Meiling volunteer for the class. While the four walk around town and talk, they notice that parts of the city are disappearing. Sakura writes to Eriol and doesn't notice more of her cards disappear. After rehearsals, the four meet up with Toya and Yukito . Yukito talks with Sakura and encourages her to confess to Syaoran. She finally senses her cards disappearing and then a bridge missing. Meiling invites everyone to go to the new amusement park, where she pitches Sakura and Syaoran alone again. They notice the cards disappearing and sense Clow Reed's magical power, and follow it. Sakura and Syaoran encounter a mysterious girl who takes away more of Sakura's cards before disappearing. Later, Eriol calls Sakura and after she tells him what has happened, he explains that the girl and the presence at the park was the Sealed card, the fifty-third Clow Card, which was set free when his old house was demolished. Containing an equal amount of tremendous power as the other fifty-two cards combined, it was created to balance the positive powers of the cards with a negative one. Every time the Sealed Card steals one of the Sakura cards, it will also take something near her. Sakura will have to convert the card to a Sakura Card to restore the balance, but to do so will require that someone of the card's choosing will lose their most important feelings (due to that romantic love is the strongest and purest feeling). This means that Sakura will lose her love for Syaoran if she converts the Nothing Card.

The next day, Sakura tells Syaoran what Eriol told her. Although both are saddened, he tells her that it cannot be helped and she runs away crying. She is comforted by Yukito who turns into Yue , who assures her that it will be alright. On the day of the festival, Sakura sense the Sealed Card at the school. When she spots it in a void circle, Sakura activates the Sleep card to try to prevent a panic. However, the sleep spell only lasts a short time as the Sealed card quickly steals the Sleep card. Yamizaki ended up hurting himself from falling to the floor and everyone asks Syaoran to take the role. During the play, Syaoran and Sakura dance and confess their feelings as the prince and princess. The stage lights explode and the ground begins to shake and the stage breaks up. A string of Sakura Cards fly away from Sakura's bag into the dark sky, and the Sealed card steals the people from the play, including Sakura's family and friends, along with huge portions of the entire city. Eventually the only two remaining uncaptured, Sakura and Syaoran rush to the amusement park to confront the card. Sakura's magic proves ineffective against the card. As his magic is not tied to the Clow Cards, Syaoran attacks the card and manages to wound it, but it eventually deflects his attack and wounds him.

Sakura races up the tower after the Sealed card, but gets trapped on the stairs after void spheres leave two gaping holes on either side of her. The Sealed card tells Sakura that she is lonely and just wants her friends, the other cards, back. She doesn't understand why Sakura is getting in her way, but Sakura tells her that true friends do not push each other nor try to bind each other. The Sakura cards pull free from the Sealed Card and surround her. Shocked, the Sealed Card collapses in tears. Seeing that all of the Sakura Cards want to be friends with the Sealed Card, Sakura asks her to join with the other fifty-two Cards so that Nothing will not feel alone anymore.

The Sealed Card agrees. Sakura orders the rebirth of the Nothing card and says that she really couldn't confess to Syaoran after all. As the card appears to go to Sakura, it chooses Syaoran (who manages to make it in time) as the one who will lose their most important feelings because Sakura used too many cards at one time. Syaoran tells Sakura not to worry, because even if he has to sacrifice his love for her to save everyone, he'll just fall in love with her all over again. However, as the card attacks, The Nameless Card (which Sakura created at the end of the TV series) negates it and they combine into a brand new Sakura card-the Hope Card, which is a representation of Sakura and Shaoran's pure and strong romance.

Crying and believing it's too late, but encouraged by the Hope Card, Sakura still confesses to Syaoran that she loves him and that he is the most important person to her. To her surprise, he gently replies that he loves her too, and Sakura realizes he didn't lose his intense romantic feelings for her after all. As everyone and everything begins to reappear, an overjoyed Sakura uses the Jump Card and leaps to Syaoran before the stairs return to normal with no intention to wait further, despite Syaoran's protests to keep her safe. As she leaps to embrace Syaoran, she exclaims, yet again, "I love you!"

He proves to be as aloof and stubborn as ever, disheartening Sakura. Is she not good enough, how is she going wrong? RP Sample:
She had done it! Lowering her wand, she eyed both the men in front her critically. She could feel her brother’s eyes darting between her and Yukito, wanting to make sure it was all right before he approached his lover. They both looked all right, and she didn’t sense anything wrong with either of them.

“Eh I did it!” she exclaimed jumping up in happiness slightly. She could feel Tomoyo hugging her, but she couldn’t take her eyes off her guardian. Would he finally be happy now and have some piece that he no longer had to share a body, an existence with his false form? She could only hope.

I had fun xD

Age: Since you put Sakura as 18 in your SSI, could you extend her age range to 18?

Appearance: Could you add what Sakura might wear if she weren't in her school uniform? Is she more into cute clothes, sophisticated ones, comfortable ones...?

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: What exactly does being 'powerful' imply for Sakura? What can she do with these powers?

History: Could you give a tiny detail regarding who Toya and Yukito are? I would just like to know their relevance to Sakura/relationship with her Smile

Age: her cannon age does not go beyond 14 in any of the material, and she's only 18 as pertaining to that particular RP. As this is a general profile I will be leaving her age as is.

Power: It was actually never really concretely defined so I did what I could.

History: I put it under other noteworthy facts
